Use the push button transfer case-from the junk yard-to lock in all four at the stop light and pray that you don't accidentally go back in time when you do it...I'll be STAYING TUNED.

🚨 Hey Tony, you need to use a boost referenced fuel pressure reg. when running a blow through carb. and have enough pump to cater for it 🚨
If it's a normal style of FPR (like what you get with a holley blue pump) you can save some money by modifying the existing reg.
Although If you're gonna lay into it with the boost, Id personally pony up the extra for the right reg. And/or pump.

Just finished (literally today)putting rear disc brakes on my 96' Chevy SS S-10 - Same 2.8" offset from the axle housing to the front of the axle. Late model Blazers - 98-05 have rear disc brakes that will bolt up. Only the E-brake cable end is different and that can be solved. Easy to do, pull the diff cover, pull the 8mm bolt and remove the axle centering pin, pull the C clips, axles come out, change out your backing plates and everything bolts up from there. AND the calipers are aluminum. And the discs are 12". pretty neat.

Finn was hugely into minitrucks, he probably even has a connection there, and that would be a hell of a roadtrip thing, as he's got a minitruck or two over there- Find an event that works, and tear it up. If you widen & chamfer the oil drain holes then the 4.3 can handle pretty much anything you throw at it & it will live a long happy life.

@@claytonhaske you’re right you can get systems for that kind of money. I was being a bit facetious

Anyone can put together a cool rig with lots of money, I enjoy seeing junkyard builds like this using some innovation and old school fab work.

This truck rules, it's like a life-size RC truck. It's screaming for a big roll bar and KC lights and all the early 90s trash truck trimmings!

The 2.8L that you removed did actually have power potential.
The 2.8, 3.1, and 3.4 V6 GM motors were all in the same family. In 1989 and I believe 1990, Pontiac had a Turbo Grand Prix. It was a 3.1L V6 with a tiny T-25 turbocharger. It also had a forged crankshaft! The cast iron cylinder heads from the 2.8L can be MASSIVELY ported to flow a lot. You can bolt the Camaro 3.4L intake manifold on to the 2.8L which will flow a LOT better than the factory 2.8L one. SBC connecting rods can be modified to fit on to the forged 3.1L crank and custom pistons can be sourced from multiple sources.
I’ve personally seen a 3.1L version with using the above parts. With using a massive turbo along with a custom roller cam and a Haltec standalone, running 20 psi of boost, a Suzuki ‘Busa slowly walked away by a car length from 60-140. That same car put down 307 whp on only 8 psi.

Next up should be an 88-98 OBS 4WD short bed standard cab lowered to stock 2WD ride height-easily done-with a twin turbo BB on E85 making about 1200HP. Use the push button transfer case to lock in all four and pray that you don't accidentally go back in time when you do it......I'll be STAYING TUNED.

YO T/A… keep this channel going man, it rules! I’ve been a huge fan of you since you joined HRG on MotorTrend! I’ve told my girl a million times, “I think Tony and I would be homies”, and last episode you showed up in a Little Devil hoodie! I rode bmx back in the 00’s and Little Devil was my shit. You and your crew are killing it, building cool shit, and I wish you all the best!! I’m a fan! Please keep on being yourself, and bringing us rad builds!
