    You drilled holes on the outlet side of the airbox... Sounds like a good way to cause more problems than you're already having.

    I know this was 5years ago but I’m pretty sure your choke is engaged even though you have the switch off. Either way it’s choking out some how.

    Look inside the right side of the intake there will be a little hole. If you shine a light in there you can see the brass choke. Make sure it is going all the way down when it is off there is a adjustment on the choke cable if it not.
    Second thing is you need to have the airbox on to make proper vacuum for your main jet(the little hole at the bottom of the intake side of the carb).

    Had a similar fault with our one was a combination of the filter blocked in the tap and the idle jet blocked in the bottom of the carb you need a long tiny flat head and a air compressor to blow them out now it doesn't bog and goes real good

    You put the holes in the box so dirt can get in

    Its ur mixture screw the one with the spring on it. I have to put on kick stand and warm it up using throttle letting rear wheel spin freely then adjust sprung mixture screw so that tire bearly moves without throttle. Once you get that far its quarter turns on mixture screw until u reach optimum performance. Otherwise id say the needle and seat isnt seating correctly and it is flooding out at idle. Bought a four wheeler few years back and replaced all kinds of things spending almost 500 in a shop to no avail, talking to the dealer he suggested the needle and seat under 20 bucks and it was a beast after that.       Just picked up a used pw for my little dude. Online I see a lot of people doing oil block off and just mixing their fuel there self. Maybe that’s why he has it disconnected

    Idk if your still active but I'm having the same problem I've got a new carb throttle cable and choke cable and yet every time it starts first kick but just screams like no tomorrow there fuel and oil in the carb but throttle is like not here but yeah please someone help

    I got a 97 pw50 2 stroke and I can get it to idle but not have an throttle response. Pretty much all of the parts are new and I've checked everything I can. Any ideas? Here is a link of what it is doing. ua-cam.com/video/iUx-7ip5-1k/v-deo.html
    It has a 60cc big bore kit, new wiring harness, exhaust, carb, spark plug, stator, kill switch, coil, air filter element, fuel filter. It has good compression, it's getting gas, no exhaust restriction (it's off in the video), I've tested the switch and I get good readings when I should and OL on my meter when I should. I'm totally stumped although there can't be anything left to try that I can think of.

      Cody Lindenmayer sounds like you got a plugged jet. Try an take a peace of wire from wire brush an run it throw main jet an pilot jet. clean it good an give it a try. Should start up great an idle fine with jets cleaned Wright.

      Hannah Banuelos my problem was with cheap carb I bought on Amazon. No matter what I did with needle clip position the bike ran like garbage just like your video. Only reason I bought the Amazon carb was because the original owner completely stripped the pilot jet in OEM carb. I tried to get it out using every method and as a last resort went to an e-z out and left handed drill bits when I eventually jacked up the threads for the pilot jet inside the carb. Not wanted to spend 100 bucks on a new OEM carb I found the main carb body on eBay for 30 bucks. Put it together with stock top and bowl, runs just like it should. So yes my jet was clogged. But I couldn't even get it out lol

      Jetted the bike lower, guess it was getting to much fuel. Still doesn't like to idle that long but the extra holes didn't cause any problems either.

      Yes, I had to lower the jetting to a 45 i think, cant remember the exact number for the main jet but it was getting to much fuel.

      Oh and I bought a carb from Amazon and it worked fine. The carbs on these pws are sensitive, you gotta clean them regularly. I also bought a 60cc bore kit from Amazon and put that on it, definitely worth it for the 45 bucks it costs which is cheap.

      2 stroke's like high rpm. But it has no recistance but the rpm is fine.

      No it's over fueling they all do it, they are over jetted on the main from factory. go from a 70 to 67.5 or 65 and they run great
