Hey all. 🙂 These are some of the harmonica solos from ROCK history that in my opinion (and partially in UA-cam's views counters opinions as well) touched the most people, and brought a huge success for the song they were included on. Sure, in blues music you'll find much more impressive solos - technique wise, but blues is not the case in this video. Cheers!
Ever wondered what harmonicas can do in the hand of professionals? Check out this list.

Stevie Wonder! His phrasing, complementing the melody and most importantly clean notation that was perfect in pitch. Without a doubt the best emotion. Stevie has got the win.

@Leo Clark, take a listen to the harmonica solo on Elton John's "I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues", that's Stevie wonder. John Popper of the Blues Traveler and Indiara Sfair are a couple more you oughtta lend an ear to.

Yes, all those mentioned were undoutably remarkable harmonica
    solo's.
I can't believe they left out Creams Jack Bruce! He pushed the harmonica
envelope beyond any of these other players and if you have not heard him,
i suggest you listen to Cream's Wheels of Fire double album, the "track" called "TRAIN TIME", live concert perfection from the 60's with Ginger Baker on drums providing railroad grove syncopation, and Bruce's powerful
    Scotsman blues vocals.

Another notable piece is the theme tune of ‘The Old Grey Whistle Test’, the seminal, serious music fans rock slot from BBC 2 in the UK. They used ‘Stone Fox Chase’ by Area Code 615, a Nashville band with (Goodtime) Charlie McCoy on harmonica. Most of the band, inc. McCoy played on Blonde on Blonde, Nashville Skyline and my favourite album of all time, John Stewart’s ‘California Bloodlines’.

Well, Rock history begun in 1952 in Cleveland Ohio with Alan Freed's Moondog Concert. and in it, playing was Little Walter Chicago Blues Star . He plays harmonica. he had many harmonica hits. This type of Top10 youtube thing is fine and reflects your taste fine,......... but top in rock history??

    • @jimchumley6568

Haha yes. Didn't you know? Elton John, Ralph McTell, Billy Joel, and Sting were rock acts? Nothing says Rock and Roll like Kevin Spacey in a banker's suit playing the intro to Piano Man.
