I’ve had the 48L for a couple years now and I love it. I had the same issue with the flat shelves. I ordered some Spanish cedar strips and built a box around the shelf. Now each of my shelves are like the bottom shelf in the video there. Absolutely love my 48L and I’ve never had any issues with plastic smell or anything.

I have 2 Needone humidors: the 16l cooling only on my desk at work, and the 48l wood grain heating and cooling unit, which is my wife’s. The 16l fans only comes on when the temperature varies too far from what I have it set on, and since it seals so well, sometimes it never comes on. I’ve had a 320 65% Boveda in there for over a year, and it’s still working great, and the pack is still going strong. The 48l has about 200 sticks in it with 2 320 65% Bovedas in it, and in the 4 months we’ve had it, it’s been great.

I have had the NEEDONE 48L Cooler Humidor, Electronic Humidor Cabinet for 300 Counts Capacity with Spanish Cedar Wood Shelves for over 2 years and have found it keeps perfect humidity. I use 69% Bovida packs and that is right where my hygrometer reads. Very happy with the purchase, especially for the price!

@@titolightskinswing6820I got one last year and my hygrometer was above 80% after two weeks of seasoning. Did you plug the drain hole on the bottom of the unit before seasoning? Otherwise you’ll be losing humidity.

I am a very simple person love to relax after a rough day, and own the 48 L humidor had it for nearly 2 years I am amazed how well my cigars are being preserved, what I like about the humidor is you do not have to break your pocket just to get you a decent humidor that actually works, I used 2 big Boveda 64% and it works great, I enjoy my electric humidor, and my cigars due to its the only hobby I have that I enjoy besides fishing, if you are a professional cigar smoker and not looking to spend a whole lot of money on a humidor this is for you.

I have a needone 33L. I’m using 3- 320g 72% boveda packs. I turn the until off an humidity is about 68-70%. I turn it on and the humidity drops to 60-62%. I had a smaller 72% pack in the cigars and it dried out but the others are still soft.

I have the NeedOne 48L and I purchased it about a year ago. It has been great. Mine does not have the lock feature as far as I know so I just adjust the temp or turn on the light with the push of a button. Only time I ever have to touch the temp though honestly is after a power failure near my office. The 46L is about the size of a small dorm room fridge and I like it because I can fit a few boxes in there along with all my loose cigars. I did add one additional tray which has worked perfectly. I still use the original water tray/cup but I have humidity beads in it that I spritz with distilled water every few weeks depending on the season. One thing I couldn't live without though is the Govee bluetooth hygrometer that I keep inside. It is like $15 and you just download the app on your phone and every time I am in the office I can check the humidity on my phone without opening the humidor or even walking into the room its in for that matter. Love my NeedOne 46L.

    Hey Tim
Love the show and the videos. I have the Needone 48L. I've had it for a year now and absolutley love it. I use a cigar oasis to humidify the unit. Awesome product!! The two together is an unbeatable combination. The beautiful aroma when I open the door brings a smile to my face everytime.
Thanks for all you do for us cigar enthusiasts and keep up the great work!!!

I'm thinking about getting a 48L. I live in England and would only turn it on in the summer when it gets to around 33 C (91.4 F) in hour house. Out of interest, are they expensive to run i.e. electricity?

The only issue i have living in Phoenix on the Needone 23l is ambient temperature. My house during summer months is going to be around 75f with air conditioning. If i set the the unit below 70f i will get a little condensation at the bottom and my RH goes down to much. I should mention i have 69% Boveda packs. With the unit set at 70 degrees the bottom of the unit is right at 69RH but the top is 63-64 RH. I should also mention i purchased an additional box shelf, so i have 2 box shelves and 2 flat shelves in mine with the 2 box shelves at the bottom of unit. 14:54 I might try to move unit to a cooler spot in the house if there is one lol. So with mine if i lower the unit temp my RH goes down So 70f seems to be my sweet spot? I also taped over the drain hole in the bottom of the unit.

I am in Kansas and have been having the same problem with mine. It’s hot here and I’m getting the condensation. I finally realized that I should just leave the temp a lil higher (70-71ish) and that seems to keep the humidity where I want it as well as eliminate the condensation. I am using a Boveda 320 as well and have also taped the drain hole

I got a Mojgar 50 L in 2023 and holding humidity in that thing has been such a challenge. I have a cigar oaises in it. 2 84% Bovida packs and several other packs and humidity trays and even with the cigar oaises set at 74% setting, the humidity only goes up to like 66% or 67 max.i spruced it up put those Amazon rechargeable lights from Amazon and did as much as I could for it. But boy oh boy did I wish I got a better one. I’ve spent way too much time and effort for mediocre performance. Sucks

I just purchased this humidor and I’d like to season it with a boveda pack. I’d like to ultimately keep my humidor at ~68. Did I hear you correctly and say that I should season with a 75% instead of a 84% seasoning pack?

    Hello Tim
I recently purchased the Needone 48L humidor and have been seasoning it with boveda 84% bags for the last few days. I have noticed water pooling in the drip tray. Will leaving it unplugged to drain out affect my RH levels, or how can I avoid this? Any help would be appreciated.

I bought the 33l after watching your video and am currently working on the filling process. I sis have a dip in humidity about a week and a half after seasoning but I have 2 320gm 69% in there now. I am curious what an acceptable temp drop is though b4 the heat kicks on because I had to set it yo 71 to achieve 68 actual and it dropped to 64 actual and only came back up as room temp did.

I got the NEEDONE 48l heating and cooling humi in November 23. So far the heating does not do anything that I notice. It is in a room that gets down to 62-64ish at night and it won't even bring it up to 67. When it gets hot this summer I will find out if it keeps things cool. But I have my doubts. I have not been happy with mine.

    Tim,
I have the 48 L 300 count one with a cigar oasis in it and I cannot for the life of me keep the humidity below like 72-75 % I even set the cigar oasis to 65 and nothing. Not sure if I have a defective unit. If boy way it levels off is if I open it for a couple of hours and let some humidity out. Any thoughts ??

More info needed - what is ambient temperature and humidity? What city? Have you checked the accuracy of your cigar oasis unit? It may be useful to chart the T/RH of the NeedOne for several weeks with a Govee (or similar brand) sensor.

I'm a beginner and I live in a very hot climate (Las Vegas) so I bought one of these and it's quite nice. One thing the instructions says is leave the door open for roughly 20 minutes to get any gas odors out of it. It's very solid so it has weight to it, and the light can be turned on or off. Temp is easy to set and this thing holds 150 cigars. it also comes with a hygrometer and batteries (hope I spelled that right) I paid 162 for it on Amazon so yes it was well under 200.
