I've never really commented on any videos before. I'm anxious about creating videos, people staring at me in the gym, people talking about me as I walk past, and always wonder if I am doing a good job or not at work. I have a very hard time accepting compliments if I get one, struggle to show any type of emotion besides sadness, and am genuinely not happy about a majority of my life. I'm using this comment as a way to cope and to be honest I cried watching this video. I've hit rock bottom and this video honestly made me evaluate a lot. I need to talk to more people (i have like 2 friends), I need to just make that idea into a video, and I need to appreciate what and who is around me. Thanks, Charlie.
Your comment made me seen, I feel totally the same it's really hard for me to meet new people or talk to new people, I always think I don't do my job like I am supposed to I want to record videos and I want to make people smile and laugh but I feel so not confident for that, so I am trying every day to push harder and harder.
i don't have any words to describe how i feel after watching this video you are doing a great job. Some people might find a way in their life because of you. Love you brother have a great day ❤
@@sleepycharlieeOne step at a time. I watched a video of yours yesterday (06/04/24) and began doing something I've been putting off for a long while. I finally began drawing storyboards for a comic based on my life. It'll be a DITL comic showcasing the triumph, worries, challenges, and success of someone trying to live again after being diagnosed with a TBI and missing a large chunk of life.
About to go to my fifth day at a new job, getting up today was rough, but I really needed this and I’m gonna challenge myself to make work not just another day at work
Charlie while you don't have millions of subscribers or views i hope you realize you're making an impact. Changing one life at a time, he's one who changed my life. He is Sleepy Charlie.
About a year and half ago, I was pronounced clinically deceased. I was 45 at the time, and it was a heat stroke that triggered a heart attack. The moments up to flat lining was strange. I wanted to hold out long enough for my wife to make it to the hospital to say goodbye to. Working in medical before, I knew I was done. I got to do that. Also got to call my daughter and say I loved her. I was susprised to wake up in the hospital the next day. Apparently several minutrs after I was pronounced, I mumbled something about, my wife said it sounded like I was trying to say my daughter's name. Anyways, they did their magic and I'm still here. That experience did a few things: made me no longer fear death (it was quite peaceful once I accepted it), and made me no longer fearful to try the things I feared before, and no longer waste my time so I quit left my job and now I do what I want every single day and enjoy each moment of it. I wish it had happened 20 years prior.
One of my favorite quotes is that you don’t need to be dying to start living. If you can truly realize and accept your mortality then you can start to truly appreciate life. Awesome story, I’m glad you’re doing well since then ❤️❤️
@@sleepycharliee Yeah thats a truthful quote. A miserable life can sneak up on you. It might start with staying at a shitty job because it pays good and you just had a kid. Then you end up staying there for a decade because you and your family has gotten accustomed to this life style. Because we’re men, were taught to just suck it up and be a good provider. Next thing you know, you realize you’re a cubicle slave and you dread waking up each day. The sad thing is, it wasn’t just me. I worked with several guys that got stuck in the same system. Looks like the younger generation isn’t falling for that, so thats good!
I’m so glad I stumbled upon this video. Before watching this, I was on the fence about apologizing to an old friend I had started ghosting. After watching this I realized that if I were to die in five days, I would still be regretting my past actions. I have now apologized to that friend and it all went smoothly. Thank you for this
Ok, Let me say this as someone who loves art and appreciates writing, editing, recording and quality content, This video is Masterpiece and Sleepy Charlie is an Artist, a writer and a Video Editor at Top Tier.
To stop wasting time, we must first understand it. As Seneca wisely noted, 'It is not that we spend five days and nights in pursuit of pleasure, but that we waste time in pursuit of distractions.' Focus on purpose and mindful action to reclaim your life
Hey Charlie. Thought I'd write this to you and the viewers. I've thought of the "what would I do if tomorrow was the last day I lived." But, it was only after your video that I truly realized the direness of the situation. I'm overweight, and young, and I keep thinking that it'll be alright, when it isn't. It is slowly killing me, and I've never really had the time to appreciate my parents, grandparents and friends either. Your video really struck something within, and, I'm willing to make a change. We only live once, so I need to make the most out of this life. Get to that dream uni, talk to the girl I like, cherish my friends and family. I thank you for making this video, and I do hope, and will try to make this come true. Thank you ❤
Bro this is the third video of yours that I have watched since this morning. I am amazed by your aesthetic thinking, your photography, your daily routine and more and more ... your channel becomes my favorite in youtube , keep it up bro 🍀
i never knew short videos like these gives me more motivation to change than those 15-30 mins videos . or should i say, all these videos from this channel are very much relatable to me
Can’t tell you enough how much your videos really give me the hope and optimism I’ve been missing to hold onto. Life is tricky and trying to navigate it is something I’ve always struggled with. Thank you
I’m really glad to hear that. We only got one shot at life and the most important thing we can do is make the most of it no matter when or where it ends ❤️
I really enjoyed your video. I’ve been struggling to keep myself motivated and this opened up my mind to a lot more things. I’ve been on a Navy deployment for almost 8 months now trapped in an aircraft carrier for so long feeling trapped. I’ve realized it’s temporary and soon I will see my family again but I just need to keep going and maintain that drive of wanting to be better. Thank you for this
This is perfection using humor to talk topics that are “serious” and make me reflect and also think about the things I want to do… thanks so much for this!
You are amazing Charlie, truly incredible, what film can do, how it can touch you. Your films touch me and my heart. Every single one of them, because they are so pirely made. Thank you.
So I randomly came across your video where you talked about "Just one step". It was exactly what i needed. Thank you. Yoi juat gained a new subscriber.
Wow i just came accross your video's and watched a couple, literally sat there hanging on to every word. No feelings of wanting to scroll or switch to a different video halfway thru (which is often the case😅) and also took so much away from this 🙌 i love everything about this video ✨️🦄
Thank you, Charlie! This is a perfect video to sum up how I feel, so for this I am changing. I've just subscribed after seeing this one video - went to your channel and found I've actually watched atleast 5 other videos from you, sorry for not subscribing earlier. You deserve it.
I go through these 5-day phases everytime I have an assignment due. The first day, upon seeing the amount of work I will need to do, I end up getting overwhelmed. So I leave it aside to escape from that uneasy feeling. Second day, I try to tackle my assignment again but this time I'm less worried as I tell myself that I can still make it on time if I give 100% focus. So I take it slow and chill. Third day, I start feeling the heat from all the bottled up anxiety for having wasted the first two days and for taking my assignment so lightly. The day is then wasted beating myself up with guilt and sadness, unable to either sleep or work. Fourth day, I finally begin to accept that I have no other way around it other than actually sit in front of my laptop and write. It doesn't matter how slow I write or how messy the writing may seem. As long as I have an outline and bullet points written down with all the academic sources compiled in one file. The day is filled with disorganized ideas and thoughts in a rough paper. And finally, on the fifth day, I am really able to focus completely on writing the assignment properly, tackling one paragraph at a time and organizing all my ideas in a completed paper. That's when I realize how easy it was and how I was just stressing out and being dramatic for no reason. I will tell myself that is the last time I'm steering over an assignment but then I repeat the same with my next assignment... Silly me 😅
Be careful. I've reached the point of the assignment is due I never did it, I will do it quickly and turn it in late I never did it, I will do it for my own personal learning I never did it.
Much needed this video.. going from bad days worrying about future which is uncertain gives nothing but frustation. Thanks i understand now i just need to do that work as early as possible.. honestly, this video need a nobel prize
