@@asiba2274 if you don't want to spend much money find some local phone repair shop or if you want proper solutions go to xaomi service centre but remember your is not in warranty any more so they will charge you
My zenfone max pro m2 also recovered from water damage, first i took it to service centre and they told display and charging board are faulty and will cost 5800rs, but i denied repair and tried myself at home same as u did and, voila after 24hrs device turned on and function smoothly.
Edit: this shows how service centres are looting customers.
@KONNA HEMANT punctured tyre may be asked to replace but phones display and charging port not damaged how can they claim

I also have zenfone max pro m2, I accidentally dropped it in a bucket full of water. I put it in a bag of rice for 42 hours. After that thankfully the phone was charging but I can't turn it on. I don't have a money to buy a new one. Also I use that phone on my online class I really need that phone. What is the best way to fix it? Should I wait for couple of days to make sure that the phone is totally dry?

Great Video, BTW, to Everyone, Do Not Open Your Smartphone just after it dips into water, or else it will make more water to reach more inside the phone. So, without opening first put into ricebag for 48 hours, and if after that your phone won't turn on, then do these steps.😁

@@Dhananjay_Tech Yeah its debatable, My thinking is, when phones dip into water, if we opened its back cover and some parts immediately, the water droplets might get much more inside due to this action. Thats why its better to keep it still in a drawer or ricebag for 2-3 days.
@@techstarsrk anyway I would suggest this only to people who are comfortable in opening their device and have a past experience of the same 😬 I guess I'll have to make another video of more detailed technical video of the same :)

hi you should have replaced the thermal paste for the cpu of the phone as it never seals properly again after removing. the phone may heat a bit more if the seal is not proper. but only a problem if very heavy gaming or using camera for long. cheers mate

It was still wet to touch and I ran benchmarks for more than 15 mins and the device didn't become too hot so didn't add thermal paste :)

Power & volume button not worked because you did not connect all the screw. Since in redmi note 5 pro, there is no direct lego connection in between power button cable & motherboard, it will not work. when you fits all the screw perfectly tightly, the connection of power button touches the motherboard and it works, easy. 👍💪

Hi Dhananjay, I too had faced the same water damage issue this weekend. My phone was too much drenched in water for almost 8 hrs. I went to mi store and they told me to replace motherboard, subboard, btry as well and it was costing mi another note 5 pro. So I decided to perform these same things at my home. I have removed the cables but removed the back panel, btry & display connectors. Put it in rice for 2 days. And guess what I am able to post this comment using the same note 5 pro. And it's working totally fine except vibration motor. 😃 Thanks god I have tried at least. Saved a lot.
Now my question is shall I continue using the same device or will it create more issues in future as whole motherboard was wet earlier so thinking these internal connections may get shorted some time. What u think ??
No nothing will happen but just replace the thermal paste
@@haydencordeiro but for that I have to open motherboard parts. And I haven't tried. I am just worried if it last long or may create issues since it was a water damage.

I have this problem right now my redmi 8 took some water inside of it and i tried to turn it om and charge it. It's not turning on i remove and broken the battery. Do i need to purchase a replacement a battery and try it out?

Don't pull the pull tabs in the battery section part since every single phone is not with a pull tab nor u don't have the tools to pull it out or u shouldn't put much pressure on battery since battery is battery and it will blast off and the main thing is don't use finger to release lego style connector u should use the blue coloured stick which u used to take off the back panel while putting it in place just be gentle that's it :)

Yeah redmi note 5 pro has that key button problem,even my device eas stuck at fastboot mode and i thought maybe there was a software issue but later after checking it at the service center the problem was with the power and volume buttons

The battery strips used in Redmi phones are worst. I tried removing battery to the same thing happened to me too. Btw great job done and quite educating video

2 years ago I dropped my Redmi 3S Prime in the salt water i.e. ocean water when clicking some selfies. I immediately take that out from water and started clicking. The phone was working fine so I didn't tried to turn that off. After about 30mins later I noticed that power button is not working and front camera is not clear so I checked the phone thoroughly and to my surprise the entire display is filled with water droplets.😁😁😁
Tried to switch the phone off but it didn't continuously rebooted for next 5-6 hours until the battery completely drained. I realized that I should have switched that off in the first place.
I came home and tried hair dryer, Rice solution, dry under sun but couldn't able to switch it on or charge it. And it went for another 12 days. So bought a new device and kept the phone. After about 1month I simply plugged the dead phone in charger and voila it starts charging. Then after the entire device was working like it never faced any issue.
But immediately after I decided to sell that out and I did the same for 6k.
Moral of the experience-
1. After any water drop switch off your device and do not turn it on, first make sure it's completely dry and clean.
2. If your phone is dead don't loose hope, keep your device in a dry environment. It will start working if not motherboard is burnt.
3. Sell that device immediately after its working fine because after about 2-3 months something will go wrong, like display will fade away, camera will not work properly, battery will not give enough backup.
So that is my experience.

Bhai.. never remove the battery connector using metal(you used screwdriver tip) as it will short the battery

Here in Phippines, the technicians only charge 2500 rupees for a water damage on Xiaomi and OnePlus phones.
Here in India for display they charged me 11 thousand Indian rupees for Nokia 7 plus
