Ferrari consistently lacks that final level of peak execution to win in a close championship fight, whether it be strategy, pressure, preparation, car development, driver performance, etc. I don’t think they’ll win a championship until they have a dominant car that enables them to walk away with the title.

I don't think Fred Vassur had any plans on going for the championship anyhow. I mean there is a chance that he was playing a long game from the get go, giving up the idea of going for the Title and "This year is ours" and he simply went for Moral Boost. The fact that Ferrai bagged 2 of the most important wins with Leclerc's win at Monaco overlifting the so called Monaco Curse plus winning at Monza and bringing all the Tifosi together and Carlos's bonus win is victory enough for the year. And thus I guess to him he won. Now they will probably try to top this level off next year and see where things go in 2026. There in 26, with lifted confidence in their team as a whole, their engines, drivers, strategies etc. they can pose a serious contention then, as seems to be their plan.
Also Baku could have been won easily by Leclerc. Sainz's form since the summer break has been lackluster, he is constantly slower than his teammate now, the Q3 crash in Singapore was 100% his fault, while the clash with Pérez in Baku was indeed a 50-50. Leclerc drives in very good form, but it was his carelessness that the Baku win slipped through his fingers, Singapore Q3 tyre issue was not his fault, but he could have done a clean lap which would have been enough for at least P7, in that case he wouldn't stuck behind the Hulk/Alonso train to lose massive time.

Charles could have easily won in Baku if not for the McLaren illegal wing, Ferrari still needs much better trackside operation, I'm content with the team making the silly mistakes this year when we are not really in the hunt.
I'm a fan of Leclerc, but Baku is on him, he underestimated the threat.
McLaren's tricky wing only helped Piastri in defending, not attacking.
This is such cope, Ferrari had set up their cars to prioritize the low speed technical section over the high speed straights which is why McLaren were faster on the straights even when using DRS where the flexi wing isn't helping them.
