- In this week's Fresco Friday Tip I talk about clipping masks in Adobe Fresco. to show you some cool things you can do with layer clipping masks-including adding motion within them! That's right, you can add animation all within a clipping mask. I'm posting new Fresco Friday tips every Friday!

I've had Fresco since it was released.... I've never given it a real shake until I really started watching your videos. You Fresco Friday videos; honestly your videos in general have been a warm welcome and very helpful in many ways. Thank you! I know a comment and a Thank you doesn't pay the bills, but all the same. Thank you.
Thanks so much Braxton, that's great to hear. Comments and likes helps get more views and more views does help pay the bills!
@@chris-piascik you're not wrong, honestly -- However, I am so so small a channel, lol -- even comments do basically nothing. For me, at least. I'm going to be "joining" your channel soon -- The Hour long personal zoom/hangout/discord/whatever thing you use..... is a vital thing, I believe.
Funny thing -- You would be the first person I joined.... and I've been subbed to Proko for..... yeeeeears, now!
Either way -- I love your videos and you seem like a my kind of person!
( I also basically never comment, haha, so, there ya go -- )
@@BraxtonGaither Well I really appreciate that!
I'm a web developer and just found your channel while I'm starting to get into illustration more. It's been great-keep it up!
Oh thanks so much, that’s great to hear!
EXACTLY WHAT I WAS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT! thank you much for sharing. I think your channel is going to take off big time!
Thanks so much! Glad this was helpful!
you make animating look easy! 😎
Hah thanks! It is pretty easy in Fresco, especially for stuff like this.
Super cool. That little bit of animation changes the whole vibe. Awesome work!
Thanks a lot!
thank you THANK YOU.!! for this video, you answered questions, I had about using Masking, that I could not find at all on any other videos. Thanks 👍⭐️👍🌟👍🌟👍🌟👍🌟👍🌟🌟
Oh cool, thanks for letting me know!
i think the automatic color pallet import is available only in the paid version of Fresco
Great stuff
Thanks!
good talk. tanks
😎😎😎
your channel is cool. I find it scary that I just came across this feature last night and you make a vid about it. And I have been recently watching your channel. AI is in my head!
Woah! That is kinda crazy… but if it makes you feel better this is a pretty new feature so it makes sense you’d be hearing about it recently.
do you use paperlike on your ipads screen?
I'm currently using an iCarez Matte one, there's a link in the description if you're interested. That said, I think my current favorite is the PaperFeel. I have a few videos trying out a bunch of different ones: ua-cam.com/play/PLAufnRAvMJPCH6QtGHJyTs9vXVRmd79vI.html
You can buy brushes to upload into Fresco? I never knew that.. How do I find brushes like that? It’s easy to find brush sets for procreate, but how do I search for brushes for fresco? Do I search for photoshop or fresco brushes? Any links where I can buy them???? Thanks
Oh yeah, Fresco uses Photoshop brushes so there are endless options available! Also, if you just tap the "+ Add Brushes" at the bottom of your brush menu you'll have access to Kyle Webster's massive collection of brushes which are all free if you have a creative cloud subscription or even the $10/year Fresco premium version.
I have been adding in a reference photo but don’t know how to put it on the side of the art board. Can you do that on a Fresco Friday?
I could, but all you do is place the image and if you don’t convert it to a pixel layer you can move it outside the artboard.
@@chris-piascik I finally figured it out! My “Artboard Preview” was toggled to not let it out of the way. It was a setting under the gear in case anyone else has struggled there.
Oh cool, that’s good to know!
I wish the swatches are easy to make like in procreate, you could also share via file
Hmm it’s really easy to make swatches in Fresco. You can also import them from other Adobe apps, images, and create custom ones using your camera with the Capture app. It’s been a while, but I don’t remember how it’s different creating swatches in Procreate.
How you set your reference at the left side of the drawing without it being into the canvas?
What do you mean by being into the canvas?
@@chris-piascik It seems in the video that you got a square canvas and the reference picture is outside that...
@@pedraumpt ahh, when you place an image in Fresco its imported as an image, as opposed to an editable layer (you can click on the layer and convert it to a normal pixel layer), when it's just an image you can place it outside your canvas. If you convert it to a pixel layer it will get cut off.
@@chris-piascik Thank. you :)
Oh Man! I thought this was a Tip about my favorite carbonated grapefruit flavored beverage Fresca :( Anyway...Cool tip!
Haha whoops! Sorry about that!
hi! l have a question about Adobe Fresco: can you save a pdf with a transparent background? l can't understand how to do it for some reason (⊙_ʖ⊙)
You should be able to by just turning off the background layer.
@chris-piascik l do it, but for some reason it saves my picture with a white background
i like playing a game called just the tip
Nice
And I was reinventing color palettes every document?!!!!
!!!
To much
Which part?
