Create Your Own Animated Video Graphics with Adobe Fresco
Вставка
- Опубліковано 15 чер 2023
- In this video I'll show you how to easily create your own graphics to use on top of video with Adobe Fresco on the iPad (or Windows). First we'll quickly add some simple movement to an illustration and then export the sequence to upload into your preferred video editing app. I used Final Cut Pro, so that's what I'll be demonstrating with. That said, the process is similar-and actually a bit easier in Adobe Premier.
I post new Adobe Fresco tips every Friday-so make sure you're subscribed!

Thank you for this video! This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! Your channel is the best!!!
Glad you liked it!
Great tutorial, as usual, man.
Thanks so much Kyle! It’s always nice to get feedback from you!
Hi Chris, for Windows users - I highly recommend ReNamer for rule based mass renaming of files. It's fast, simple to use and has previews too.
Thanks for sharing!
Pretty cool to see how you do those.
One thing: I noticed when you changed "PNG" to "point" in the Finder, it also changed the file extension to ".point". Obviously, Final Cut didn't have an issue with this, but other apps (say, After Effects) might. To avoid this, you could have replaced "PNG_" with "point_".
Ah good call, I didn’t even notice that!
Thanks for share this is useful I love u're new studio
Glad it was helpful! And thank you!
Thanks. Did you set the background to transparent?
Yes I did, well I just turned off the background layer.
I’m so unsure in replacing my ipad pro 12.9 5 gen, for a wacom intuos pro large, Should I do it if I want to work professionally concept art? I been drawing on adobe fresco which is like photoshop but without the editing software on photos, I always draw on my home in front my desk since I have to use my pc gaming by force since I can’t have her unused for long times. Can I do the dame drawing on adobe fresco, that professionals do on photoshop? Please answer me
I am a professional illustrator and I do nearly everything in Adobe Fresco. Once in a while I might need to do something in Photoshop or Illustrator but Fresco works seamlessly with them. I can work in PS and then work on the same file in Fresco without any hiccups. I used to work on a Wacom Cintiq 27, but I ended up selling it because I prefer the iPad drawing experience.
Hey Chris great tutorial! I was wondering if there was a reason that you didn't just save it out to MP4 right out of Fresco instead of the PNG sequence at the frame rate that you wanted?
Thanks! MP4's don't support transparent backgrounds.
@@chris-piascik Nice, thanks!!!
May be able to use an overlay blend mode or green screen background
Hi, Chris! Is this slide transition a default one? If not, where did you get it?
Hi, this is just a default transition, I believe it’s in the “movement” category.
I love this video! But do you know how to edit the multiple clips on iPad or merge them together? I don't see an option. Looks like I have to manually edit each clip or just save the project with all clips and then upload a new project with the clip and then edit speed for one clip.
nevermind I just found a video explaining the IPad version has many limited features compared to desktop version. I will need to upgrade soon!😊 thanks for video again it's still super helpful👍🏾
Unfortunately you’d need some sort of video editing software to do that as you can’t control the timeline in Fresco. You could export individually and put them together on your iPad in something like InShot.
@chris-piascik I was referring to final cut. In ur video you show how to use final cut. But i didnt realize final cut for ipad doesn't have options to merge clips. Only the Mac version. I pad version of final cut pro is missing alot of other features apparently. Your video still helped me figure alot of things out 😀😊
Oh bummer! Maybe they will add that feature? I haven't used Final Cut on my iPad yet.
Final Cut is epic and a standard, but are you able to show in the adobe eco-system for those who don’t know premiere or after effects?
It’s actually easier in premier as it puts it together as an animation for you. You just go to import and choose the first image of the sequence and then check the image sequence box (I’m fairly certain these are the steps but this is from memory because I don’t currently have premier installed).
awesome! anyway you can do importing animation into premiere?
Yep! ua-cam.com/video/NuOTVDY6GLg/v-deo.htmlsi=qz0sk60LKSds5p2j
I'm on phone and i can't find motion button , any ideas?
Maybe there is no such feature on mobile version
I don’t believe it’s available on the phone version.
I dont know why but i after effects/premiere cannot open the PNG´s any clue why? pls Help :(
Hmm I’ve never had that issue. Is it greyed out? Are you choosing import or open? You’ll have to import.
What’s your canvas setup? Size/ppi?
If I’m doing video graphics i tend to just choose the 4K video size option.
Adobe Rush app for video editing. Since you like Adobe fresco and do motion graphics in fresco , can you do a tutorial in Adobe Rush, please?
I’ll try to find some time to mess around with that and see how it goes.
Explain png sequence ? Why that one and not MP4?
An MP4 cannot have a transparent background. The PNG sequence is the animation frames as separate images. You can merge them into an animation by importing them into a video editing software. This is useful when you want to overlay graphics onto video easily and cleanly.
