For postpartum hair loss I used RICE WATER! It saved me 💜
If you don’t know what rice water is, it’s literally rather water that is left before when you wash rice. So please use organic rice (you can use anytime of rice but brown rice and black rice seem to work best in my opinion). I rinse off my rice 3 times and on the 3rd time I keep the rice in for about 6 hours to a day. I separate the rice and spray my hair with the water. I leave the water in but you can rinse it off after about 30min to an hour. My hair started growing within a week.

As a woman in peri menopause I wish women’s issues were discussed more freely and also more money was put into research. Throughout our lives our hormones fluctuate so much from puberty to child bearing to after birth to menopause. I worked in the hair-loss industry for some time. This is definitely a thing that no one wants to talk about. Traction Alopecia ( hair loss due to repetitive or prolonged tension on the scalp) is soooo common. There are a few things you can do. 1. Biotin supplement. 2. Minoxidil 2% as the 5% is for men. 3. PRP or hair transplant procedure to help hair to regrow.

I’m not a mom, but as a black woman, I go to a good hairdresser who takes cares of me. I don’t think new moms should put their hair in a bun for a good while. Stick to styles that are less stressful on your hair. I get pressed every other month ( no it doesn’t damage your hair if not done everyday) and doing something like a press or something low maintenance doesn’t stress out your hair. Buns tug on your edges.

Hair loss can also happen 2-3 months after a person is sick. While you're sick, your body stops all non-critical functions (such as regular hair sheding) to fight the sickness. Once the person gets better, hair sheding resumes and is extra intense to make up for the pause. The extra heavy sheding can last 2-6 months. It can be slowed down by taking supplements subscribed by a doctor. The good news is that, in most cases, the hair grows back once the extra heavy sheding stops. Don't panic.

So I stopped with the tight ponytail, and started using “French pins”. Games changer for me. My hair was balding in the front, like above the eyebrows. And I would always have headaches from my buns and ponytails. Try the French pin for your up dos girl 💕 Hope this helps !!

I had postpartum hair loss and freaked out at first. I have thick hair and I was losing so much hair. Like handfuls. I told my friend and she told me to use an oil her mom told her about that she would tell her cancer patients to use. Let me tell you worked worked worked. I have new grow like crazy even in an patch that would now grow hair

For hair loss Adrienne, try biotin and collagen liquid drops. I just ordered mine from Amazon today actually! I’ve heard that it’s a lot better than the capsules, because many people complain that biotin pills make them break out. Best of luck on your hair regrowth journey!

As you AGE your hair thins! Just the facts. Frequent washing is BAD. Daily washing is really bad. There are thing you can do. Stop washing your hair daily.
Yes you will grease out. Youve conditioned your body to try and moisturize your dry hair. You keep washing out the oil. It takes a few months. Learn that a bun can be your friend during this transition. But less frequent washing improves hair texture and health. It took me 4 or 5 months to finally stop the daily hair washing. But now at 60, my hair has never bern this long or this healthy.
My hair wouldnt grow. I always admired long hair but, mine just wouldnt. I stopped daily washing...its at my butt now.
Yea im a 60 year old with butt length hair and i LOVE It.

Postpartum hair loss happens to a lot of women because your estrogen levels are falling. Specifically on the bilateral sides of your edges. I heard continuing prenatals helps, singer Kelis made this hair oil that grew back her edges after her baby girl

Absolutely I think kegel exercises should be discussed more because some people don't know about it. If you go to a pelvic floor therapist especially if it's due to pain with sex, one of the exercises they tell u to do is kegel. So yeah it does help in ways you don't realize.

  • @Cynorwin

Never heard of Kegel exercises before lol. But here are some hair loss tips, specifically relating to tension balding:
    1. Switch up your part every now and then to avoid thinning in the area where you continuously part your hair.
    2. STOP brushing your edges with strong edge control that just pulls your edges out.
    3. (similar to #1) If you have the ponytail bald spot that Adrienne was referring to, lower your pony tail or put it higher in a different spot to give that area a break. Massage the bald spot with good oils while you're giving it that break and it WILL start to grow back.

I have hair loss but it is due to PCOS. What I like to do is to take a few drops of rosemary oil, mixed with coconut oil (or even olive oil) and massage the oil through my hair. I then place a shower cap on, and leave the oil on my hair for as long as I can, before rinsing it out. Be warned though. It takes a LONG time to wash out. I've noticed some difference the more I've used it. Each person is different, but it never hurt to try something new. 😊
