I saw it when first released at the Charles Street theater Boston Ma. I was 15 at the time. The Charles was on of those, as most were back then, old time theaters with massive screens, opera, 2 level seating sections seating, etc. It was the perfect theater for the movie. I'll never forget the crowd when exiting, nobody said a word. Everyone was fucking stunned by what they had just watched. Ridley Scott handed everyone their ass that day. It was the best..
I have alot of respect for Sigourney Weaver. Hope to see more of her in new movies, great actress. She's a very good role model for young ladies as well.
Sigourney is just stellar with all her delightful and insightful answers. She really has spent a lot of time studying the alien mythos and you can tell she has put some deep thought into most of the questions and there is no way this hour + interview was rehearsed!

I got tongue tied from nerves, and she jumped right in offering stories from Alien including how scared she really was running down the strobe lit hallways at the end of the film. Aliens hadn’t been made yet but it has become my all-time favorite film; so much so, I was watching it while in labor with both my kids lol.

Aliens is no match for the original. It cannot be the greatest sequel ever made.
Alien has a nightmarish and otherworldly quality to it that Aliens lacks, hence the title of the original makes complete sense.
