of course. like many things though, it really is trainable. if you really cant start with people, try pictures or pets! He may have advertised it as maybe something you can do overnight but it's a scripted skecth so ye... It's acheivable. Funnily enough I got so much better at eye contact during the pandemic because of zoom classes!
I also had a problem with keeping eye contact with anyone but one day I met a friend who I havent met for a long time and she noticed that I was trying to avoid eye contact with whoever since I used to get so nervous and scared so she was like "Look at me in the eyes when you speak" and I did EXACTLY that. Now, it's become a habit and I no longer have to force it anymore! I am so thankful for that friend. She a real one.
I found a nice way to practice eye contact is just looking at your teachers eyes at school during lessons even when they are not looking at you and when they look at you just keep it for like 2 more seconds and break it because you dont want to seem more powerful than your teachers, which may lead to them linking you with negative emotions which may reflect in your grades and relations with teachers (dont try to be more powerful than people above you. Its somewhere in the book „48 laws of power” I belive)
Yo it's really helped me to be more confident. I just tried this steps whole week. First days were really hard but im not give up on it. Thanks man, you helped a lot
Eye contact is really important, when I met my gf’s dad he said I had better eye contact then people who pitch him ideas at his job, like that stuff totally works ong
I find eye contact uncomfortable because I feel like everyone is judging me. If you relate, just remember that everyone is a weirdo that wonders the same thing. Suddenly, it's not so daunting. Everyone is too busy worrying about themselves to care about judging you.
The problem is the constant social situations with adults gets me pretty annoyed there’s always a a lot of doctors around cause my dad’s a technician for dental
some more about eye contact: break eye contact every so often for a second to break the tension, so it doesnt look like youre staring at them. slightly raise your eyebrows to show that youre listening as well
My tip for practising is to make an eye contact with people that pass you on the street. And if you feel like it, give them a smile. Helps you notice that people are less malicious than you think they are. Most will smile back at you. You may be scared of their expression, but just look and you'll see they aren't what you expect.
I try so hard to keep eye contact. I have no clue why I just CANT but for the last like 5 years I been trying and I’m still shit at it. It just feels uncomfortable as hell like they’re not gonna bite me or anything it’s just weird to me
I remember reading somewhere that holding eye contact is unpleasant from the biological perspective. Thats just something animals do when assarting dominance, fighting between each other (for example like cats) and so on. Therefore i belive that cultures that dont try to hold eye contact have a way more logical position in this sense.
Man I look people dead in the eye if I’m ever talking to them without trying and I feel weird if I’m not looking at them lmao , it’s like part of me is ignoring them if I don’t
i dont know how to maintain eye contact, its not like i can do it if i am with friends or smth but if im talking to someone older then i feel that it comes off as rude
If you need eye contact tips, just stare down cyclists, cause they probably won’t get off their bikes to ask, and you’ll likely still feel the same way with them👍🏼 Worked for me
Tip from my parents: When looking at a girl, or a boy mid conversation, or whatever, be aware of who you’re talking to. If you like them, then try to signal them by having more eye contact with them, if not, then don’t. Vise versa.
What if you do all of these already and have been for years but still seems like people are afraid/intimidated by me, im nice and honest and i always make people feel like they can talk to me. I just assume people are just scarey nowadays
Eye contact is harder than it sounds
Definitely is but the more you practice it the better you’ll get

@@dalatiA good way to practice this is to talk to the wall out loud while looking at a certain point of the wall.
It's only hard if you think about it, just do it a couple times and it becomes natural.
@@dalati😈 not hard for a demon
This guy just pops out of nowhere and tells the most valuable shit anyone ever needed, straight up no and bs 🗿🙏

switch every few seconds between their eyes and mouth
By the way, if you can't stand eye contact, try to look at the spot between their eyebrows, it looks the same to them.

I hate doing eye contact. I feel like I’m being really creepy. Just looking at someone’s eyeballs.
You’re not trust, it’s tough to get used to but believe me, making eye contact is a great way to seem more involved in any conversation
Man I look people dead in the eye if I’m ever talking to them without trying and I feel weird if I’m not looking at them lmao , it’s like part of me is ignoring them if I don’t
I can’t do eye contact when I do that I feel less confident for some reason

i dont know how to maintain eye contact, its not like i can do it if i am with friends or smth but if im talking to someone older then i feel that it comes off as rude
When I make eye contact ppl get creeped out as I stare into their soul , I’ve never met someone who makes eye contact it’s weird
If you need eye contact tips, just stare down cyclists, cause they probably won’t get off their bikes to ask, and you’ll likely still feel the same way with them👍🏼
Worked for me
not putting my hands in my pockets seems so weird
Which eye do you look into? I can't focus on both of should I focus on the gap in between?
I feel like slouching makes you less assertive
also makes you look crippled

4. Posture keep your chin up, shoulders squared witty your chest out. It helps alot
What if you do all of these already and have been for years but still seems like people are afraid/intimidated by me, im nice and honest and i always make people feel like they can talk to me. I just assume people are just scarey nowadays
Instead of eye contact, look at their forehead. It will give off the impression you are looking into their eyes
Or just don't be a wimp and look at their eyes.
How do you continue texting someone when you don’t know what to say
I have a problem where i get nervous and red when talking to other people how can i fix that
the hand gestures is a whole new 900000 chinese-character language 💀
which eye though?
You answered the wrong question. While these will certainly make you come across as more confident, they won't help someone FEEL more confident.
Dawg I’m too autistic for this
