Watching this girl sail across the entire South Pacific with nothing more than some popsicle sticks and a dream really makes me feel completely inadequate as a human.
Your videos are better than anything on Netflix, Prime or Hulu. Fantastic achievement especially since you accomplished it on a light 27 footer with no engine torn sails and questionable windvane. Much admiration for you both.
Giggly lighthearted sisters rolling with life on the open ocean ... I suspect that your parents loved watching this so much. Thank you for spreading this great energy and sharing so many wonderful moments with us all here.
Holly You and your sister are seriously capable, seriously brave and seriously smart but you don’t take yourselves too seriously at all and that is an amazing trait. Safe and happy voyages to you, seriously.
You are both amazing. Your Mum and Dad must be so proud of you both. If I had daughters I would want them to be just like the two of you. The "Im going to start drinking" reaction to late customs man was a classic. Perfect moment.
Agree entirely with your comment sir! Marty Australia I'm 74 you can't rely on technology out at sea these girls have got bigger balls than most blokes today cheers n beers
You two darlins are positively the most delightful duo across all the UA-cam seas. Your good spirits and funny cool demeanor, no matter the conditions does not in any way lessen our appreciation for your huge accomplishments, You are a beautiful inspiration of what sailing simple is all about. I say this with some conviction and personal experience as I’m living my own dream aboard my Westsail 32 now in the Keys and preparing for the passage North back to Deer Isle Maine. But it’s only a stop off and refit before heading on to destinations unknown. Perhaps I will be so fortunate to cross your wake and express my appreciation in person for the infectious joy you bring to folks. Sail on wind hippies! we love you! ❤ Deer Isle guy
Epic crossing! People who have never been to sea have no real appreciation of how difficult this passage was for you because your vast experience allows you to cope with your setbacks with professional elan and calm. I’ve done two round trips to French Polynesian in my life on bigger boats. I’d sail anywhere with you two.
You are so truly happy with your nice sister, I mean, all of the other sailing yt channels getting pretty fake nowadays. You are genuine and real, down to earth. Thank you for sharing all these :)
@@WindHippieSailing yeah, this is so evident in your videos. Seeing happy people rarely makes me happy, probably because they are usually not that real, but your happiness was so real that it lifted me up. Thank you ! :)

Sailed for years without an engine & am typically disgusted with most of the sailing videos posted due to lack of seamanship & skill. These girls are two of the best sailors I've seen out there. Excellent boat handling & sea sense. They don't need an engine for other than an extreme backup.

What a beautiful episode filming. Many people sailing ⛵️ around the world no problem at all .Amazing, amazing voyage around the world two sisters from the Atlantic coast . You guys are awesome . ⛵️ So enjoyed seeing absolutely remarkable voyage.
Whilst sailing solo you maintained a balanced perspective and a calm demeanour when faced with a challenge but with your sister present, it’s still there but now with a strong smile coupled with the strong sibling bonding. Sailing without an engine is not a danger if time is not an essence, providing you have an alternative power source to charge batteries for navigation lights, VHF radios and alternative GPS nav systems. A great berthing for the first time using a sail, but as suggested in sing the jib would’ve made it a tad easier to control compared to “the crashing of the main” 😂😂 I know how frustrating it is to be becalmed and only move about 2-3nm in a 24hr period with zero wind. I had an engine but due to low voltage it wouldn’t start after replacing a broken fan belt 😢 but I still had enough power to keep other things running and at the same time only a day away from a port to repair the problem. DXB to MCT and I went into the Sohar fisherman’s marina. Swimming in the open ocean is something that you should only do when repairs require it, in the water an unarmed human is definitely the hunted. This was described by the notable British solo sailor - Robin Knox-Johnston - who was going to do some hull work only to have a very large shark appear and was not in the mood to leave. Take care ladies, we enjoy your channel, stay safe and enjoy NZ before venturing off on your next country visit. 😊😊👏👏🤜🤜
