what beautiful pictures of you and your family sailing the globe, in your younger days. just another reason your dispatches are so incredible, and such a pleasure to watch.
Cabin fever would have been quite scary without two most devoted sisters and such kindred spirits! Do you still keep in touch with the potatoes!😂 Probably my favourite episode to date. Your back story is equally as amazing as your current life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing.
Thanks for sharing all the joy you have sailing with your sister. And what a lovely pictures from your childhood and family. Love your mom too, how she lives a free spirit life. ❤
Super to hear Mum .. and hats off to the previous generation of cruisers .. they really had to support themselves somehow, no question of getting other people to funds their dreams thru Patreon or tap into the different money making opportunities todays technology provides .. they really were inspirational people .. and thats not to underestimate the courage and tenacity of Holly who is a truly remarkable and inspirational young lady .. thanks Old Sea dog for introducing me to this channel. !
Sitar music was ace, though being becalmed sent the two of you "troppo"😉, but the shared fun and sisterly love was so evident and may it always be so🤟Your Mom's open and honest answers with the family photos montage were magical, and now I know Holly where you get your wonderful laugh from so thank her from all of us👌"Fair Winds & Following Seas"🏴☠
You and all your family are all amazing sailors, you were already an accomplished sailor before you even started your channel ! Such an inspiration xxx
Wonderful, full length documentary about 2 sisters sailing, will make you watch in awe, rewatch, laugh hysterically and shed a tear or two for the grueling ordeal of the passage to " new sealand, our new home!!!" I FEEL A KIN TO YOU BECAUSE WE ARE A TRUE TRIBE OF OCEAN GYPSIES... We live in a world without borders... imagi-nation. Well done and carry on!
The background from your mum was really interesting and I can see where your resilience comes from. You are an NZ citizen by birth, how cool is that 👍😀
Another great video! I just watched another video of a couple complaining about swell and rocking about in their boat, it was such a contrast to your attitude. You remain an inspiration to me in my second year of full-time cruising.
Oh no !! Tea down !! 😂 You two are so funny ~ watching & listening to you laughing & joking & cutting-up is so spirit-lifting. 👍👍 Also … great to hear your mom responding to the questions. Thanks for all the sharing.
Love the silly sisters doing their thing on the big blue ocean. And thanks for sharing the family photo album and yor Mum for answering all the questions. I shall continue to dream the dream and making plans to sail across an ocean.
Loved hearing the stories from long ago and seeing the old photos. "Ice Blink" is still one of my favorite videos. You are all so lucky to have had such a wonderful sailing life. Cheers
What a great episode; now I know why Holly is such a great sailor. I love the photo of Holly pulling on the sheet and checking the sail trim in a diaper; great stuff.
That was Great to see Your Family History and Sailing, and Cruising Background, A Beautiful Family, We enjoy Your Videos, Thank You and Best Regards from Dominican Republic⛵
Love the Cal you guys started on. I loved my Cal 30. Gutted it and didn't know what I was doing but it got done. Even redid the engine. Not the block but all the external parts. Good times. Glad you had your sister with you. Your mom and dad seem so chill and kind. Love when they are on your vids.
unfreaking believable life, you had, epic, I grew up in San Diego, Ca..in the east county, but spent my summers in Pacific/Mission Beach, Ca..on the water boating..Blessings in your future, aloha and Mahalo....Shelter Island, San Diego ....🏝🏖⛱
The Magical Mystery Family is waiting to take you away, take you away...rolly, rolly, rolly⛵merrily on the ocean,...life is but an adventure! Wonderful family, Holly, you're so lucky! 👍
Absolutely wonderful video as usual and lovely to see how much fun you sisters can have in each other's company. Love you, and for that matter also your mother who was there, lovely feature. They have done something right because they turned out absolutely fantastic children! Hope to see you out there, I'll be leaving in a few years.
OMG Holly. Your mother's comments are priceless. I know your dad is such a great craftsman and helps so much with your boat. After hearing your mother, I begin to understand more about you and Tiga?? and your amazing understanding of life. You both represent the best of life. Thank you for sharing your journey. And thanks to your parents and sister for continuing to be a part of the journey. It's 2:30 a.m. But I couldn't avoid watching this episode - twice. Hugs to your entire family. Billy
So amazing is your world.. Holly thank you for how you detail everything around you, you really bring the sailing feeling to your viewers.. Both of you are Amazing... LOVE YOUR VIDEOS..
Great episode , easy to see you girls grew up at sea , having fun and laughing when no wind and hanging off the boat mid ocean enjoying life to the max.Congrats on a successful engineless passage to NZ Fair winds !!!
This was a very fun video, you 2 sisters make a great team... of comediennes! Just like the old time sailors, just make the best of calms. The interview with your mom was great, and very informative.
Dear Holly, a great video, I enjoyed the sea time, watching your steering vane work, and I especially enjoyed your mom's answers. A pleasant 36 minute break form the beginning of week four of our haul out with lots of fiberglass sanding dust and two sets sail drive seals to change along with many other bits to resolve. Part of the deal when you home is boat. Thanks for the pleasant break.
What a great video and thank you so much for the interview with your mother :) you continue to be an inspiration to me and my small dreams of sailing away :)
I've surfed for over twenty six years in a lot of spooky water but I would never float around in the ocean like you! A few second plunge would be enough for me, you have a much stronger mind than me ☺️ Appreciate the content 😊
I'm just glad You have a secure boarding ladder & You're tethered with a line attached to your boat... ( I get to thinking about that movie where they were floating about, and they couldn't get back aboard...Yipes!!)
Well, ladies, you are quite entertaining. From the calms to the squalls. I laughed out loud about the sea of corn. Strangely, watching this at 4:30 in the morning on my own watch of our generator/sump pump watch during an ice storm near Montreal I feel like I am in the same boat! Thanks for introducing us to that new hotspot three kings ridge. What a beautiful photos of your incredible family, brought many smiles to my face and the sitar music smiles to my ears. Fantastic film!
This video❤ so much love and laughter! I've had many a ocean bath and boy are they invigorating 😅 I completely loved your interview with your mom! And her advice was truly straight to my heart! ❤
Wonderful episode! You have given a glimpse into the kind of people you meet when your out cruising (That would be you, your sister and parents.) and the influence that these experiences have on your character and temperament. I have been becalmed in mid ocean and never once thought of Indian music. But, great choice! It so fits. Did I say “wonderful episode?” Yea!
Thank you so much for the interview with your Mom. That was supposed to be our story as well and then recession hit and we lost it all, including our boat we were living on. I'm jealous, but I love to see a family live the dream!!
Fantastic, love the way you and your sister get along, i hope she sails with you a bit longer, neat interview with your Mom, loved the childhood snaps. Thanks for sharing.
One of the great memories of my life is swimming over the Kermadec Trench becalmed at night with light rain making the sea green with phosphorescence. Water was so clear it was like being in space. Being becalmed is not all bad but 5 days is a long time. It’s why the trade wind season is sometimes easier. Great video. In a strange mirror, i was born in USA to NZ parents with sailing mad Dad.
fabulous and inspiring... may god bless you, may the gentle breeze in your sails never fail and take you to wonderful and unimaginable places... a big hug from Venezuela
Dear Wind Hippy, your content is NOT boring. Thank you for posting on You Tube.

Wow, dude, I actually can't think of a way of feeling more alive than sailing on the open ocean with a sibling! Y'all are incredible!
It’s a long time on a sailboat when you’re naming your potatos
I think they got some giggle weed
Haha yep it was fun to have someone to go crazy with
The 2 of you will remember this the rest of your lives! What are great adventure. Thank you for the entertainment
Cabin fever would have been quite scary without two most devoted sisters and such kindred spirits! Do you still keep in touch with the potatoes!😂
Probably my favourite episode to date. Your back story is equally as amazing as your current life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing.
I bet the sister silliness while you were becalmed will be an enduring, favorite memory. Cool kids your parents raised! 🙌
💯 % Parents did an amazing job.
We chatted a lot about how when we're both in the nursing home as old ladies we'll reminisce about that passage
Best episode ever! I almost got a hernia from all the giggling. And great talk with mom. Thanks! 😎
Love the Sitar! Sailing: Dealing with either too much wind or not enough!

What works really well for us regarding tea pouring is to put the cups on the gimbal stove 🤓
Oo yeah good idea!
Well, ladies, you are quite entertaining. From the calms to the squalls.
I laughed out loud about the sea of corn. Strangely, watching this at 4:30 in the morning on my own watch of our generator/sump pump watch during an ice storm near Montreal I feel like I am in the same boat!

"Can a crab swim faster than my boat?" - had to pause the video for a moment whilst I got my composure back. Love you, lady.
Thank you so much for the interview with your Mom. That was supposed to be our story as well and then recession hit and we lost it all, including our boat we were living on. I'm jealous, but I love to see a family live the dream!!

Welcome to the Southern Ocean. 25-30 knots is good sailing weather around here.
Swimming in the middle of the ocean is so special. Your experience sounds magical
wow your actually a new zealander welcome back! Excellent video 🙂👍
fabulous and inspiring... may god bless you, may the gentle breeze in your sails never fail and take you to wonderful and unimaginable places... a big hug from Venezuela
Just started the video, had to stop, to tell you how awsome the strings are. Thanks for increasing my high! :)
That Indian music really brought out the smile on my old face.
When I was repairing sails for my dad a lot of time I would sail tape and then stitch through it. Batten pockets are notorious for problems.
This really gave insight into boring passage moments, thank you.
You two have great personalities, and i really enjoyed the interview with your mom.
