    Thank you so much for showing a way to wash curly hair without being upside down. I just started my curly journey and was feeling discouraged & frustrated after getting sick upside down for the second shower in a row. You have given me hope to find what works for me. Thank you! ❤

    Jessicurl products are amazing. The more you use them, the better the results. Being protein and glycerin sensitive, the journey was long and painful before I found Too Shea, the Deep Treatment and Spiralacious gel.

      What do you use for shampoo en conditioner? I have the same issue

      Really?? I think my hair is protein and glycerin sensitive too so I’m trying to find products that may help. Do they still work for you?

    I watch a good amount of curly hair videos, but I don't comment much because usually what works for them doesn't for me (low low porosity hair, usually wavy but curly on a really good day). But I had to tell you this. I just started using the Jessicurl gentle shampoo and love it. So I wanted to try your routine because I think your hair is similar to mine, but yours is more curly. And guess what? While almost everything fails to plump my curls, your routine made them gloriously appear! I don't own yet the rest of the line (the rest of the routine was done with Kinky Curly leave-in, Kinky Curly custard and Giovanni gel), but I am tempted to give it a shot. Yas!

    You sold me! I've been watching your videos here and there, because your curl type matches mine, but you're so earnest and accessible! You're genuine and I think UA-cam needs that :) new subscriber!

    Another huge plus with Jessicurl is they are certified gluten free! I don't know of any other products like this that are. A lot of companies use wheat protein in their products to add protein, or wheat germ oil for moisture. For folks with wheat allergies, celiac, gluten sensitivity, this is a big deal. It's not 100% necessary for everyone who avoids gluten to avoid it in skin and hair care, but it is helpful, in my opinion, to feel like your products are safe for you 100%. One less thing to worry about. OH I almost forgot, FRAGRANCE FREE options! So awesome for those who have sensitive skin or allergies!!!

    I would love to see the actual flip that you cut out approx. 7:50 right after the shower! I struggle with getting clumps, it just stays together plastered to my scalp and in one big swirly clump even though I scrunch, haha. And I don't want to rake it to part the hair. It would really help to see exactly how it went from 7:48 to 7:49 :D

    It took me 29 seconds to subscribe to your channel! I've had a youtube account since 2009 and I don't think I've ever hit that button without at least watching an entire video beforehand haha!

    My holy grail combo for my low porosity, 2c/3a, frizz prone hair is the Jessicurl Spiralicious over top of DevaCurl Frizz Free Volumizing Foam! Can't live without it! Also JessiCurl website offers free shipping on the 15th of every month!😁

    Have you been having more tangles since your hair is getting longer? Mine is of course very long and damaged and I don’t quite have the handle of my moisture, but oh my goodnessssss detangling takes years in the shower!!

    You aaid, I do not rake at any point moving forward during my washday. Since I do my entire routine forward except for the styling products, can you tell me why? Eager to learn something new!

    • @JannelleOShaughnessy
      @JannelleOShaughnessy  6 років тому

      Cheryl Anne because my hair is fine, raking through often breaks up the curl clumps and also disrupts my curl pattern! I tend to not get as tighter curls with raking!

    How would you compare these Jessiecurl products to the ones that you recommended in your "Best Products" video? I have been using Innersense products (recommended to me by my curly salon), but they don't work for me and I need to try something new.

    Have you considered doing videos on vegan makeup? I am currently trying to use more and more vegan products as well but I find it more difficult with makeup (mainly foundation). I would appreciate any guidance!

    I was just digging through my cupboards and found some jessiecurl stuff that I hadn’t used in awhile so I got excited! I’m curious what the back of your head looks like after this and did you scrunch out the crunch or fluff?

    Absolutely love all your videos!! I've watched a few of your wash day ones and I'm wondering if at any point you use some sort of towel or t-shirt or anything to dry your hair? Or do you just squeeze/scrunch as much water out with your hands in the shower?

    the spiralicious has alcohol in it. isnt alcohol bad for curly hair?

    • @rebeccaheu1901
      @rebeccaheu1901 6 років тому +1

      Not all alcohols are bad for your hair :) google them to see which ones are bad.

    • @sabr4174
      @sabr4174 6 років тому +1

      carmenmeck denatured alcohol, sd-alcohol, and isopropyl alcohol are bad. Things like cetyl or stearyl alcohol are “fatty” alcohols so they moisturize.

    • @carmenmeck
      @carmenmeck 6 років тому +2

      I know. But in my trial Size it just says "Alcohol"

    • @JannelleOShaughnessy
      @JannelleOShaughnessy  6 років тому

      carmenmeck I would check directly with the brand for clarification on type. I just checked mine, it reads the same. Regardless with it being almost last on the ingredient list it’s less likely to be active in the formula. And just personal experience I’m on day 6, maybe 7 and my curls have maintained hydration!

      Here is what it says on their website regarding the alcohol in spiralicious gel:
      ** You will note on the ingredients label for our Spiralicious Styling Gel that it does contain a drying alcohol, ethanol, to be exact. Our bottles of Spiralicious contain about 7/10ths of one percent ethanol. Ethanol is a necessary component in Polyquaternium 69 which is one of the ingredients we use in that gel. Spiralicious is our most popular product and has been used on curlies around the world (including me) for well over a year now and we have never had a single report of it causing dryness. The proportion of ethanol is so low in this product that it does not have a negative effect.

    I have seen much better results in some of your previous vids when you use other products and the same methods. I think your hair looks a little frizzyer than usual and less defination than your usual gorgeous hair. Your curls are usually amazing!
