Wow!! Most of my adult life I’ve had the understanding that my hair was 4C based on how it looked when dry but when it’s wet it has a looser curl pattern! 😮 Now that I think about it too, my hair is never supposed to be bone dry. When it’s extremely dry it takes on this frizzy super tightly coiled texture. I’ve also come to learn that when my hair is extremely dry it shrinks up SO MUCH. Whereas when I moisturize my hair there is still shrinkage but not to the extreme when it’s very dry. It should be well moisturized, when it’s well moisturized my texture has a much looser curl texture to it. This has truly given me a new perspective on how I view my hair. 🤔

Yes. Please explain why the hair typing system is invalid. I have been natural for years but, through trial and error, I am now seeing a big improvement in the health of my hair. I also want to know more about maintaining my natural hair from wash day to wash day without over manipulating my hair.
