I love Gibson and Fender but honestly we know what they’re going to do every year. I love new pedals , amp, guitars and recording gear that are being introduced. Especially new technology. I pumped and can’t wait for the videos.
I would like to see the Custom Ebony version of the flying V and the Explorer without a case, priced just the same as the Les paul custom they have or at least on par with the Jerry Cantrell pricewise.
Epiphone/Gibson Custom shop 2 pickup Les Paul Custom with the open book headstock (both ebony and alpine white) and an alpine white Epiphone 70’s or 80’s explorer.
First the simple ask, An Epiphone... JJN Ole Red in aged Cherry or (Inspired by Gibson Custom Shop) Aged GoldTop with (Gibson) P90s But if Cesar is watching (and I think he is) and you want to make 2024 a great year than lets try something new at Epiphone. An aged/relic of Greeny as an Epiphone model? might even be able to charge +$2500 (rather pay for this than a $300 Chibson) Tom Murphy has figured out the magic of aging Gibson (Electrics and Acoustics) now he should focus on developing his craft and do the same for Epiphone models.
If Epiphone does not drop their prices... I'll keep buying Gibson USA on the used market. It works out to be about the same price and then it is ultimately a better brand.
@@Myfingersstinklikefish the only good ones that are worth the current prices are the Epiphone Elites. They were made in Japan and they are outstanding. At the time when they were being made they were on par as with Gibson USA. On the used market they go for about $1000-$1200, if you can find them. Those are the only ones really worth the price. Today's Epiphone are better than 20 years ago but they still are not as good as a Gibson.
@@riadmiah3342 research it buddy that's what the Internet is for... also Gibson uses veneer on their guitars and lots of it....Gibson's semi-hollowbodies like the ES-335 and ES-339 have tops and backs constructed of layers (either 3 or 4) of maple veneer. My understanding is that the veneers are assembled in successive cross-grain layers with the top layer having its grain longitudinal to the length of the guitar. The tops and backs are approximately 1/4" in thickness after layup.
I’d like to see Epiphone continue producing the 2023 Bonamassa SG Custom, at least until I can get one!😀 It doesn’t have to have Joe’s name on it-I want the one with block inlays anyway.
Dave is not going to stop leaking info unless he gets his LP Customs . . . and he wants to also add that his friend and loyal subber Marsha also must get one of those DG-335’s in Pelham Blue (but she won’t be picky if it’s a black, gold, or red one). I’ve been saying the markup for these guitars is insane for a very long time, as noted by the drop in the Mustaine Epiphone V by €800, while others are getting slashed (pun intended) by $200 to make way for new stock. But overall, if Epiphone can sell similarly spec’ed guitars (or better in some cases) at $499-$899 at regular price, including some artists models, there is zero reason any Epiphone should ever top that $1000 mark. I still can’t find a single person who disagrees with the prices being way above the point of gouging customers. Hmm, is there any way to make a class action suit for price gouging in any countries? Because they are clearly over inflating the prices. Where are all the lawyers?! Who wants a case?! This feels like a relatively easy one to win. Why hasn’t anyone thought of this angle before?! That might force Epiphone to bring their prices back down to what’s considered fair and reasonable. Happy New Year Dave and friends! 🥳🎉🎊🍻
i would love a new Slash! the old one has never figured out quite how to play without Duff behind him. now he just yells for me to let him out of the basement. he says he is hungry or some shit?
I feel like now that there is a precedent for Epiphone to make their headstocks just like Gibson they will do more of those to justify high prices. I really really doubt that Epiphones will start to cost less this year. I remember when most Epiphones were about $400. Now it seems like they are $800. As for what I'd like, I'd like Gibson to start using bone nuts. It's a small thing i know, and i also know that if you order one from Sweetwater, there is an option for bone nuts. I think it costs and extra $250. Insane.
I would like to see Epiphone release a SG Junior. Good video!
Now that would be interesting! Especially since the Gibson variant has been discontinued (and they seldom show up on the used market)

Oh and please remember to like, sub, and share this video! Thanks guys! 🤘🏻🎸
Pretty new to your channel, that being said I enjoy all your content and information 👍
happy NY!! just playing my new, 2nd hand, Harley Benton SC 550 - perhaps the first and only guitar I've ever had that matches the hype -
I also want an Epi LP Delxe in pelham blue!

HAPPY NEW DAVE... ✌️
Man, you got me all pumped up now, Dave! I would love to see any of those
Good information as always, but there’s a lot of crackling almost sounds like you’re a lapel mic had a shorts in the cable.
I want to see an epiphone adrian smith sig. gold lp deluxe with super distortion pickups!
Epiphone/Gibson Custom shop 2 pickup Les Paul Custom with the open book headstock (both ebony and alpine white) and an alpine white Epiphone 70’s or 80’s explorer.
I’d like to see Epiphone drop their prices for 2024.
I've been waiting for the non-art Epiphone Adam Jones since i got my Veil of Bees last year.
I never thought about it until this video, that Epiphone has never had a Les Paul Deluxe!! I second your suggestion!!!
Epiphone Gold Top P90

Epiphone is releasing a Rex Brown Signature Bass for $1399 this month /leak

Same. Gibson for the price of an Epiphone? No question.

What can guitarists expect in early 2024? Outrageous prices and attitude like companies are doing you a favor!
Here's my guitar gear advice/resolution: think it less, stop spending money on it. Play More.
Guitarists can expect the usual overpriced crap from Gibson. lol
