Hey, I have one of those. Mine's damn near spotless with all the original hardware and the original Dirtyfinger in the bridge. The only thing unoriginal is a Dimarzio PAF Pro that was in it when I got it in '92. They really are quite nice guitars.

Wow! ! I pretty much disagreed with you throughout the entire video. I've bought one of these Chibson LP's and it travels the world now. I replaced what I considered to be parts that could be improved, and it came out sounding smokin' hot. I plan on doing the same thing to a few more. By playing these, I don't have to lug all of my real Gibsons and since they're road worn when I get them, I don't have to worry about a ding here or there.

No pic on the listing, took all the additional time again and again and again and again... and no Bigsby when it finally arrived. It wasn't the initial guitar that was listed and paid for.

I have the Epiphone DG-335 and it sounds and plays great-absolutely no nitpicks whatsoever. Just for fun I compared it to a Gibson ES-335 and liked it better. Perhaps try tuning the guitar?

I own one from 2001 in translucent black. It needed some minor maintenance and a setup. Thanks to Glaser Instruments in Nashville for the PLEK work and maintenance attention. I’m still waiting for the price to balloon to the $10K as Dave has proclaimed. Indeed rare and it does play great. It has a great feel when in the hands, too.

The SG Standard or Special is a handsome guitar and it doesn't need bling all over it. Asked what I think of this "Supreme" twaddle - it f*ckin' STINKS. Then........... the price - forget about it. ABSOLUTELY STOOPID.

I discovered that Chibsons were better several years ago. At that point I sold my Gibsons and bought Chibsons.

STILL waiting for Epiphone to bring out a Byrdland model...........still waiting!!!!!!!...........any time now Epiphone!!!!

Chibsons can be fantastic! But can also be hit and miss.. ive got a gold and a white one, the gold one sucks 😂 top E keeps getting stuck under a fret

How could you 100 percent say it's same guitar ? Maybe it had same marks on it or something he remembered

Good review. I have played 2 of these at my local music store. They are excellent guitars I was very impressed with them. Loved the nice full-C neck and the balanced tone. They are great looking guitars, too. I would love to have one and I'm a 68-year-old folkie. Sometimes these "specialty" guitars draw an unexpected audience. The same guitar store recently sold out their entire stock of "Hello Kitty" Squier Strats, in less than 2 weeks. Most were bought not by young girls, but by heavy metal shredders, who couldn't get their wallets out fast enough, to aquire a "SICK" Hello Kitty strat.

Hmmm... I had a gibson 345 and the varitone wasn't noisy like that one. And the tones were more useable. I wonder what exactly they're using for the electronics?
