When you started this video I knew there was going to be plenty of "pointy" guitars. I remember your GC Castleton employee profile on the GC page. I believe it was the actual words "pointy guitar expert" or something to that effect. And you sold me many with more points than curves. The last one I purchased from you was a BC Rich 7-string V with a black/purple finish. Nice collection. Some different ones from past reviews. That's what keeps it fresh. Although we all have our faves we would never part with, the rest are fair game in a trade. Sometimes the inspiration from a new piece of gear, especially the guitar and amp is all that's needed to get you over the hump or out of the slump

Hey RJ. In Australia & a big Vester fan & member of the 2 Vester FB groups. I scored another Vester over the weekend to hang beside my Catalina / Strat. I'm more than Double Stoked with this purchase, although I had to increase my offer, from the silly price of $150 to $250 Aussie, because of the sellers inundation of others interested & the Rarity of their "set neck" SG version. Never knew they existed. Bought it from a Drummer who stashed it under the bed & not played for how long, I don't know. Not a great deal of work to get it screaming again. New nut to raise the buzzing low E & some new full sized pots. Looks Brand New to me. I'll post some pics to the groups, maybe within about a week. Love your collections by the way! Cheers Bro'

If I remember correctly the Sustaniac was developed here in Indiana. About 40 years ago I walked into a shop at 52nd and Keystone and started talking guitars with the owner and a friend of his. He told me a buddy had developed it and it was still a add on accessory. I had just started playing and when I tried it out, flubbed the first few notes, they both switched off and walked away. Never went back, he went outta business the Sustainiac still lives!

Impressive collection! Glad to see your taste is more focused on playability rather than brand. Seeing that Draco guitar made me think that it's screaming to have a violin bow raked across the strings! Good to see some Ibanez in the mix.
I have 30 guitar hangers in my studio and 28 are filled. I'm looking at a white, Epi string-through Flying V next and I've always liked the Ibanez Xiphos Chameleon for #30. Keep rockin', Bro!!!

Thanx for sharing all your gee tars with us, and I always feel better after watching a collection rundown. It helps me to rationalize/realize that what I've got isn't very outlandish at all, comparitively speaking. When the current obsession arrives hopefully later this week, I'll be at 9 counting the Stingray bass. It's a collection now, I've come to accept. When I kept the count around 5-6, I never thought of them as a collection. Now that I'm pushing 10 pieces, it's become apparent it's a collection. I think this means I'm getting old? I'm still very steadfast with any setup or playability issues that can pop up on one here or there, and keep every single one in perfect working and playing order. Keith Williams from 5wattworld said in his last video that for years he did it this way, where every week on Sunday he'd go through every guitar. Playing, tuning, adjusting, anything that need be everytime he played each one. If he couldn't keep them all up to par in a few hours each Sunday, he had too many. That's where I'm at now. Pushing it. Peace.

Those Epi '67 RI Flying V's are really nice, I had one from 1998. But they have different body dimensions from the Gibson counterparts and obviously a different pickguard and control layout, so anyone could tell them apart even if you cover the logo. Regardless, they're pretty well built even if hardware and electronics aren't great.

I always feel better when I see others have more guitars than I do. Makes me feel less weird/guilty about having as many as I do (20+ range-22/23). I constantly try to sell or trade for higher end guitars but sometimes it does seem like a bit too many, and if they're not being played, I should move them on to someone else. Seeing some have 40, 50, even over 100 guitars, my collection seems rather average/low, lol.
In all seriousness, I love seeing other guitar youtubers' collections. Let's me know what is out there and what is worth looking into. Enjoyed this video as much as your other videos.

Great collection, I really love those Schecter and Kramers. But I'm very amazed with that Washburn Paul Stanley Signature, is a cool design.
I dreamed with have a Ibanez Iceman since I start to learn to play.
Luck smiled me 2 years ago when I find a 1978 Ibanez IC100 in a local pawnshop, it needed some repairs like 2 potentiometer and all tuners remplacement and a deep clean. Now is my greatest pride. I consider it like a signal from heaven. Overall because these guitars are particulary rare and hard to see in my country.

  • @revolead

I had one of the GC exclusive Schecter CR-6s. Flawless fretwork. Great guitar. But ultimately, the super thin fretboard didn't work well with my giant palms, so I traded it as part of an Ibanez Prestige AZ2402. Both were outstanding instruments.
Thanks for sharing your guitars. I really appreciate they are different from everyone else's Les Paul, Tele, Strat trifecta collections (and I say that as someone who loves Strats and LPs).

I agree about the Ibanez Rg 421. Great guitars.
I bought and sold one not that long ago. I believe it was stock with DiMarzio's which is always a plus.
I have not had an Ibanez that I dont like, the issue comes down to my hands.
They are on the big size and I seem to find my comfort zone in the larger flatter profile necks and fretboards.
I have a newly acquired MIM Charvel DK24 with Bareknuckle Holy diver/ slow hand pups that has become my immediate go to.
I can reach up and pull it off the wall and it feels RIGHT in my hands.
Funny thing is at first I thought the holy Diver was a bum out market con, it didnt have any bite to speak of. So, I played around with and adjusted the height and found exactly where it belonged for the sound I was lookin for.
    Simple fix.

Nice ax's Robert. I don't really go for the fancy designs and paint jobs for players. My "go to" guitars are several different double cut models by Fernandes, and yeah, two of them have the Fernandes Sustainer pups in them (similar to the Sustainiac in Schecters"). Vintage Gibson Les Pauls, just for show, some Schecters for the fun of it, a few Vipers in ESP and LTD to toss around and all the others are total custom guitars and some common (BC Rich, Fender St's, Epiphones, AXL Bad Waters, Eko) and some way off brands ya never heard of, pretty much. I am happy with my collection, be it as it is.

I could never have as many guitars as you do. I still have the same 2 guitars. I still have my DG-9 Fender acoustic guitar I got for Christmas in 2000 and still have my 1968 Thin Line Squier Telecaster I bought in 2009. Both guitars get lots of play. So don't count on me buying any guitars for a long time.

Yeah, i just love my 2008 Xiphos... I swapped the aluminum hardware for dark red metallic, swapped the nut for graphtech black tusq and the bridge for a heavier black steel piece... At last i chanched it to active when i pull out the infinity4 pup for an EMG81... Locking tuners are comming soon... Its my D standard metal monster and will keep it for ever, since i dont think they will go up in value very much...😂 But i paid around 400€ back then and i think today an indonesian ibanez goes for more then that...🤔
