    Since I started making these videos in 2017, I have been lucky enough to receive the support of some manufacturers with materials to use in my videos. Since May 2018, Chestnut Products have provided me with stains, an iridescent paints sample set, lacquers and waxes. I'd like to thank them for their kind and generous support. Martin Saban-Smith has provided me with a sample set of Intrinisic Colours.

    Hi Stewart, Great video as always. I really like the effect from the rainbow waxes.
    I did a bowl a few years ago using hot melt glue and I really liked the effect.
    As ever learned something new from your video.
    Take care Stewart.

    Tempted to count all the min/sec we got to watch paint dry, but not going to do that! But I suppose someone out there has that much time on their hands, and will annoy you by posting the results. 😂😜😂 Fun techniques. Would not have thought to thin the wax with H2O. Love it with the glue removed. Wonderful play break between English Walnut foraging sessions today ( just like an Easter egg hunt in deep grass).

      Haha...guess I took a bit of a liberty with the light touch on editing this one but I only had a couple of hours to do the whole video....these are acrylic based waxes: chestnutproducts.co.uk/product/rainbow-waxes/ Cheers, Valerie!!

    I actually quite liked how this one turned out after you peeled the glue off. It looked to be loads of fun to do! Nice job, Stewart. 💜

    Well, now I can add watching paint dry AND glue dry to my CV. 😆
    I had assumed (I know...) that the glue was coming off all along. But I did like the look with it on, it seemed a bit more assertive in presentation. I don't know how you could get a clean edge with the hot glue, perhaps a knife. Even the point tool has too much of an edge. Or maybe if you turned a bead on the inner edge of the rim and used that as a stop for the glue. So many ideas that neither of us will try.

    • @stewartfurini
      @stewartfurini  2 роки тому +2

      Haha...I'll have to see what else I can make you watch dry!!! A knife may well do it best...I'm sure I'll try this again.....

    Just an idea instead of parting tool or point tool try a skew and do a v cut type of thingy 🤔

    Oh Stewart my hero! I love watching paint dry hahaha. This was an interesting one. I'm wondering if you clean up the middle and hot glue a blank over it then you can keep it clean. When you paint or do the hot glue, you don't have to do a clean up except removing the blank? I liked it best before you removed the hot glue(the 2nd time) but overall it looks great. Thanks for sharing your creativity with me again. Stay safe, Vickie

    What is the reasoning for using water vs the flow medium I see you use so often? Your projects are amazing and inspiring!

    • @stewartfurini
      @stewartfurini  2 роки тому

      Thanks, Amy - no real reason...flow medium would have worked with the rainbow wax as well....although they are called 'wax' they are actually acrylic based....Cheers!

    I think letting the colour dry fully then warming the glue before pulling it off might work, everyone should try a different approach then send a pic of the result?
