I’m American but my Dad used to take me fishing in Canada and Minnesota every couple years growing up. Watching the RedGreen show on the tiny televisions we had in the fishing cabins is a cherished memory of my childhood.

I remember, growing up vacationing at my uncles place on Peaks island in Maine, and the TV had like three channels……. so when we weren’t playing in the water, we were watching red green day and night😂😂😂 I always think of red green when I go to Maine , and I always think about me and when I watch red green❤❤❤ thank u!
I love this. Lots of the gay jokes these days are "straight" up derogatory, or come with some sort of loaded message, but this is literally just making fun of the insecurities of the older generation towards the topic. Supports gay marriage, but still uncomfortable/inexperienced enough with the topic enough to be really embarrassed if someone thought HE was gay.
Looking at the preview thumbnail I thought “uh oh, something that likely hasn’t aged well” but it turns out it is still just lighthearted humour. It didn’t get super political nor did it put any group down.
Never knew where this show was produced, I’ve only seen bits and pieces on tv. I did sit down and watched a whole episode once, and the line he said at the end, “Keep your stick on the ice”, told me all I needed to know. It was produced in Canada. You know how they are about hockey.
My favorite segment was I was young: have you ever heard yourself inside almost saying “hey watch this!”? Stop! Ask some questions, is it worth it, or are you about to get injured… :)

It is old, yes, but they showed a statement of support and solidarity, which allows them the freedom to now use homosexuality as a comedic device. Anyone responding in anger needs to grow up, regardless of your political leaning.
I think this is the only time I've seen someone who has farming living type that approached such a topic with a smile. Can't tell what his opinion on the subject is, but it seems love thy enemy, or love the sinner hate the sin is being acted on correctly if he is in disagreement. Good guy, tasteful response.

I read this scene similarly; Red's cringing is funny, especially since it's so mild. Like the joke is his reaction rather than the situation. Red is constantly the butt of the joke in this show, he's a caricature at the end of the day.
