I appreciate this video, but none of these steps fixed it. Would you recommend trying removing all of the older cartridges and adding brand new cartridges? Would this fix the ink nozzle clogs? I print only a few times a week, not excessively but have never had issues with HP cartridges for many years. Any help is appreciated.

What size and shape did you use for the screws on the green board?

I used the ones that I took directly off of the board, then screwed them back on. I'm not understanding the question? I tried resetting the entire printer but that didn't work either as HP doesn't make it easy at all. However, I think that's what needs to be done to get the printer to recognize the print head again. Bummer...

Of course the so called screws on the back aren’t even screws so good luck finding a way to get the out!

I had very tiny screw driver from eye glasses repair kit and they unscrewed them.

I have two HP 8610 printers. I had one show up with the missing or not detected printhead. I've used it a LOT and could understand if a part was worn out. However, the second is a bit newer and not used as much. It was my son's from his time in college. When he moved out he didn't need it so left it for us to use. I plugged it in to have a working printer and a couple of months later it has the same issue. I'm wondering if this is a fault from an upgrade? I cleaned the printhead and did some reset I found. It worked for a few prints and then failed again. I even bought a new printhead and tried it but it would not detect on either printer. Somethings not right here. :-(
I keep forgetting to call HP to grill them about a possible issue with an update.
