The TCL Q6/Q650G QLED is TCL's budget Q-series TV in 2023, sitting below the TCL Q7/Q750G QLED and TCL QM8/QM850G QLED, and above the cheaper TCL Q5/Q550G QLED. It's a simpler TV than its more expensive siblings, so it's better suited for someone who doesn't need any advanced features or capabilities.

I have this t.v. for 4 months now, and I'll say this is the best t.v I've had so far. Once you get into the settings, it produces a very sharp image. I keep it on movie mode and used settings I've gotten from someone else. I can see the wrinkles and pores in skin sweat all that. I'm happy with it for now. Im not gonna over sell it, but I'd say if you want a 65 inch 4k under 500 for what it does. I think its a great t.v.
Love to hear what those settings are you mentioned. I just got mine out of the box today and will be setting it up soon. Thx
@MarkRizzoTheDragonWizard My bad been busy. Go into settings, scroll down to Display & Sound, tap it, then select Picture. Picture select Movie Mode. Brightness 75 or whatever you like, but I have it at 75. Color Saturation 60. Scroll down and select Advanced Settings. Brightness Settings , Brightness 75. Contrast 100. Black level 45 everything else in that section I leave off. Back out and select Color, Color Saturation 60, Tint 50, Color Temperature warm -2. Back out and select Clarity. Sharpness 65, Digital Noise Reduction select Medium, Noise Reduction select Medium. Gradation Clear select Low. Back out and select Motion. Turn on Motion Clarity, Rudder Reduction 2, Natural Cinema- off. That's pretty much where I am with it, right now. If you don't like it, you can tweek it to your liking. Let me know what you think.
Please review the successor Q651G/C655. Like to see how good it performs compared to this.
Does the 50" version can run 1440p at 120hz on pc?
I would appreciate if someone has tried and can let me know
Please review the new Hisense U8N. It is interesting to see what improvements the TV has made over the previous model U8K. The U8N is said to be the brightest TV on the market and in combination with the very high contrast it comes very close to an OLED TV. The U8N could have the best price-performance ratio and could be a flagship killer 2024 compared to the expensive high-end LG and Samsung TVs.
We will definitely be buying and testing it!
@@RTINGSdotcomthat’s wonderful
Will you be doing a review for the new Q651G?
We don’t have any immediate plans to buy and test it but we’ll consider it if there’s enough user interest! www.rtings.com/discussions/OLi5szw4d7uUbaQA/review-updates-tcl-q6510
Smh
Yes. The Q651G/C655 hasn't been reviewed in depth by any other reviewers/in sites. I'd like to see how good it performs as TCL advertise about better contrast and peak brightness over its predecessor (Q6).
TCL 6 series goes on sale often. Picked up the 55" for $399.99 at best buy a few months ago. 4k 120hz native
The R646? Can't seem to find it, it must be sold out now
@@treWavey_30 Model:55R646SKU:6470273 It's on clearance but not 399 atm...maybe 2024 version is coming out soon. I bought mine on 12/29/23 for 399. I would have thought clearance would be even better deal. I would keep an eye on it, I would think they need to get rid of these skus
@@treWavey_30I got one for Xmas and it’s amazing, true hdr 1000 nits mini led local dimming, 4K 120HZ it’s bliss
Can the 43 inch do 1440 VVR @ 120?
No... I was also disappointed due to this.
120hz work only in 55inch version..
6:18 wow, another budget TV being instantly disqualified from any consideration... 150Hz PWM dimming is completely unacceptable. Is it REALLY that much more expensive for a manufacturer to use PWM of 1000Hz or higher, or just DC Dimming?
and the sad thing is, there are no alternatives for this price point in the USA :(
Ultimate budget gaming TV for 2019 maybe. No HDMI 2.1 ports for a "ultimate budget gaming" 2024 tv? Really!? HDMI 2.0 televisions came out in 2013. Any TV after that would probably be just as good if not better for gaming than this one.
The thumbnail got me to click but I stopped watching as soon as you said NO hdmi 2.1.
That was the r6, which disappeared compeltely from North America in late 2022
@@JeskidoYTI edited my comment
Yeah this doesn't seem great unless it's like $250 for a 55"
If you’re playing on console then you don’t need hdmi 2.1
If you’re playing 4k 120 fps I’m assuming you have a rtx 4090 and in that case why look at a budget gaming tv just go oled
TCL are absolute dog 💩 tv mines about a year old nothing but touble ie slow, glitchy, won't find channels sometimes and support is like not existing dont waste yr money
Had TCL R646 for past 2 years been great
