How to change the blade lever on a Wahl KMX Clipper | Sharp Edges
Transcript:
Hello, groomers.
This is Jessie with Sharp Edges in Oklahoma.
And today I wanted to talk about changing the blade lever in your Wahl KMX Clipper.
Come on down.
So, I've already taken out the three screws here. These are t. Excuse me. They're phillips one screws. Three Phillips one screws.
Take those out. Just lift the top cover up. You don't have to take it all the way off. You have wires connected to the battery here. Just take a flat head screwdriver, pop it underneath that blade lever.
Pop it right off.
Put your new one on.
Slide it right back on.
That's all there is to it. Put it right back together. Make sure there's no wire sticking out on either side here. Put your screws back in.
You're good to go.
I hope this helps!

How often should this be done on these clippers?
For a full time groomer doing 30-40 dogs a week I recommend every 4 months. For someone just grooming there own dogs at home I recommend getting your clippers serviced once a year, that way the blade lever can get checked as well as the hinge and a general cleaning and inspection.
