When I first heard that song I really didn’t get into it. I’d skip it consistently but one day it really just took me by storm and now it’s one of my favourite tracks on terra.

I think its because it was recorded on actual camera, that has proper microphone. Im not saying that nowadays phone microphones are bad, but they dont have that good pop filters and cant take that much dB and different sounds at the same time, so its distorted 😄🙂

Imagine never hearing of these guys and having them blow you away unexpectedly like they did to me in 2007! I went to see a Cavalera Conspiracy Gojira, and throw down at the Palladium. I only knew of Gojira from Joe bringing the bass player for conspiracy. Or before Johnny chow was, they blew me away!
The only band in 25 years to just have completely blown me away, other than morbid angel. Brutal groovy chunky heavy riffs sick!!

Grand fan depuis la première heure , je trouve qu'aujourd'hui , même si il sont toujours au top , ils utilisent un peu trop de machine à fumée et de lance flamme sur scène , alors que quand on voit ça, il n'en ont clairement pas besoin pour scotcher tout le monde.
Dommage aussi qu'ils ne jouent que très peu leurs anciens album aujourd'hui (The Link Alive bordel
Par curiosité, comment as-tu vécu la transition entre Terra Incognita/The Link et From Mars to Sirius ? Ça devrait paraître tellement innovant à l'époque, déjà que ça le paraît (à mon avis) aujourd'hui... Je ne les ai découvert qu'à la sortie de Magma, et en remontant dans la discographie je me suis demandé comment les fans les plus "anciens" ont vécu cette transition, qui est à mon avis leur plus gros changement de style. Je trouve vraiment qu'à partir de From Mars ils ont trouvé le style qu'ils ont gardé jusqu'à aujourd'hui, et qu'avant ça, c'était assez différent (mais qu'est-ce que j'aime ça bordel, c'est d'ailleurs pour ça que je suis là...).
@@SaintFranssoix Très honnêtement le passage à From Mars c'est très très bien opéré pour moi , c'était un bol d'air frais dans la scène en général et aussi dans leurs disco .
Et puis c'est tout simplement une pépite .
Il y a quelque chose de très profond dans cette album , dans le thème , les sonorités etc..
Il y a toujours eu un virage à quasiment chaque albums ( Terra et The Link sont deux monde différents finalement ) , on est toujours préparé avec eux .
Le virage le plus douloureux pour moi aura été le l'Enfant Sauvage qui est un peu moins surprenant je trouve , même si objectivement très bon .
The Way of All Flesh avec sa production très épurée a aussi un peu divisé les fans j'ai l'impression , pas mon cas.
Apparemment , ils ont déclaré revenir sur une approche plus death metal , plus proche de leurs inspiration du début dans leur prochain album .
Hâte de voir ça .

enregistrement perso à l'époque ! J'avais été soufflé par leur prestation à Olonne sur Mer en 1999 . J'ai aussi une version enregistrée de "clone" en Vendée dans le studio Decibel .
@@nicometal85 La classe, j'ai malheureusement pas connu le groupe a cette époque, mais rien que sur çe live, on voit qu'ils étaient déja très au point techniquement en live.

Et je ne les connais que depuis deux ans, mais je vois énormément de gens cracher sur leur nouveau contenu, je dirais que ça a commencé sur l'Enfant Sauvage et que ça s'est ultra amplifié avec Magma.
Du coup ma question est : qu'est-ce que tu penses de leur évolution ? Surtout que tu les connais depuis l'époque de Godzilla apparemment ! C'est incroyable !

@@AbricotUltime Sans hésitation je répondrai que la période fin 90 jusqu'à 2002 restera toujours ma préférée car je les ai vu sous le nom Godzilla et que les démos "saturate" et "Possessed" ont une place de choix dans mon coeur ! C'était si puissant, pas d'artifice et une rage !!! J'aime aussi beaucoup "global warming" et "toxix garbage island" des albums suivant ! Ca joue toujours très bien depuis toutes ces années mais je m'y retrouve un peu moins qu'il y a 20 ans ! J'étais aussi en 2003 à Bordeaux pour le tournage du 1er DVD . J'ai encore une video a faire numériser d'un concert en vendée devant 300 personnes ; )

Gojira est depuis presque 20 ans un de mes groupes favoris, la qualité du jeu de chacun est irréprochable, on peut ressentir l'investissement et le travail en amont et surtout l'énergie et la puissance sur scène. Ces mecs s'investissent énormément dans leur projet et en font leur priorité au détriment de tellement de choses. Ils méritent vraiment leur parcours jusqu'à présent, même si je trouve que les derniers albums deviennent un peu trop mainstream.
