The foam gaskets work well - all new vehicles exclusively use foam gaskets so we carried them back to older vehicles. We have done extensive leak testing on these including submerged tests and they have passed.
@@boostautoparts are the 5th gen rams foam? My 4th gen uses a rubber seal. Foam works great if the lights are contoured to the roof perfectly. Also with these can you splice the light directly to the old wiring? Eliminating the socket and connectors?
5th Gen Rams are foam, yes. Our cab lights are laser designed to fit the contour of the roof. You could cut off the connectors and directly connect the wires if you wanted, though it should not be needed.@@CatRichardBojangles

Lights look awesome and I’d love to replace my recons with them but those foam gaskets are terrible. Those are half the reason I hate my recons.
