    Hi Guys
    Totally agree 100% with your sentiments. BUT here’s something to consider.
    Three things we hate about the alternative to RVING.
    Airport’s (ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING ABOUT AIRPORTS).
    Airplane’s (ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING ABOUT FLYING).
    Five Star All inclusive resorts (NEARLY EVERYTHING ABOUT FIVE STAR ALL INCLUSIVE RESORTS).
    Give me crap internet, Poo pipes and pissing it down any day. The alternative is way worse.

    Teardown in the rain is the worst, just knowing you have to pop everything out when you get home just to dry it.

    • @BrazenBrits
      @BrazenBrits  2 роки тому

      Yup! Fortunately we've only had it a couple of times (usually Florida) but with no dryer in the rig its just a case of spreading stuff around and hoping for the best.

    We just got Starlink. My husband works from the road, we are full time. I do the job of finding places to stay and hopefully, I’m successful at finding one with good internet service. Now we are going to be able to stay places we couldn’t before. Starlink screams!! It’s amazing.

    Rain is a bummer for sure. This is one of the reason we like living in a class A we dont have to go outside once we pull in to a spot. Self contained means no hurry to hook up. Our biggest complaint is getting our rig worked on and living in it full time we have to find another place to stay and sometimes thats hard to do depending on where you are at. Thanks for sharing guys.👍👏👊❤️🇺🇸🥑

  • @sprayhawk808

    Rain! Winner winner chicken dinner! Hate it for the same reasons times 3.5 (up to 7 dogs with us on a trip). Our 5th wheel makes setup/teardown relatively simple and we are pretty happy with our current internet solution - pepwave wireless router with external antenna. I don't need much bandwidth to work - RDP session with my office, but the pepwave does well enough that we are able to stream without much buffering - if any. We had 1 location on our long trip last summer that was just bad service because we were in a narrow canyon and service was bad all around. We also use the pepwave as our home internet because nothing else of note is available.

    • @BrazenBrits
      @BrazenBrits  2 роки тому +1

      Yep we also used to have the pepwave at home as our "country internet" was unusable! But this is why we are now hesitant with Starlink, we have great internet at home, so don't really want to fork out another $100 a month for another service. We shall see how it goes!

    • @sprayhawk808
      @sprayhawk808 2 роки тому

      @@BrazenBrits My 'plan' is to get Starlink for the house once im certain i can get service. It might also go on the road - depends on how portable it really is. I'll make the pepwave our backup solution, but loose the monthly unlimited at&t sim for an as needed 30 day sim. If Starlink doesnt get into the rig, pepwave will.

    1. Pulling the trailer through certain cities with extremely rough roads, hills and curves and unclear road signs, including Birmingham where we live, Nashville and Chattanooga. We work our way around Atlanta.
    2. Extreme weather. Heavy winds, large hail etc. We got hit with hail large enough to shatter everything plastic on the roof and rolled in awning. Every panel on the truck had to be replaced. Didn't do much to the fiberglass sides on the trailer like the metal sided trailers.
    3. Cramped RV Parks.

    • @BrazenBrits
      @BrazenBrits  2 роки тому

      Hey Clark! These are really good points! Honestly, we have experienced only a small section of the USA in our RV, but we imagine that point 1 is very valid.....we just haven't experience that yet. Point 2 and 3 are on the list.....just not top 3 for us. But, we totally get it!

      Absolutely. So I have various Apps, Coverage map. Campendium. Coverage? Lite. But I think Campendium is the most reliable if you get reviews people will rate the internet and discuss what cell service and signal strength is like. We've had a few instances where there is NO review for a campsite, so I may sometimes call them directly and ask.
