I definitely think Mr. Buddy needs to recreate this region similar to what you did with the England region! Greece has such a rich mythology, culture, and history that has influenced the entire western world, and it definately deserves more than 18 minutes!
Oh yeah, and an idea I have for a legendary for this region would have to be Cerebus, Hades' three headed beast in the underworld. I feel as if it would fit well
If an Elite Four member would be based off of Hades I would actually say that Cerebus would be a non-legendary pokemon akin to Houndour or Houndoom. Or give Houndoom a third evolution or even a secondary Mega evolution would be better.

No, instead of using mythological monsters as legendaries, the game's main legendaries could be ouranos and gaea, mother earth and father sky of greek mythology. No to mention they were there even before the gods and they are the parents of the titans

So for the Sparta town, it would he pretty cool if you could find fighting types there. Sparta was known as Greece's most elite warriors. Oh and the boar? Normal/Fighting type, as boars are known to be ferocious creatures (Erymanthian boar?). Hades would definitely be a Ghost trainer. A Medusa based legendary would be really cool, like Ghost/Poison
A Greece based pokemon region? Just think of all the the gods and creatures in greek mythology game freak can use for new pokemon ideas. There will probably be a lot of rare or legendary pokemon in the region.
Inspired by you, I created a pokemon league fo the greek gods. The diffenreces are Hercules is not the chapion, but the rival. The heroes are Apollo and Artemis, they are twins and they have diffenrent goals, the one we player choose will go to league against his rival Hercules, and the other twin will complete the conquest of the 9 muses. The protagonist wants to "return to lympus", like some myths where Apolo and Artemis where banished from there and have to reconquest the right to be a god/dess, and the rival, Hercules, must win the 12 tasks of the hero. One of each memeber of the league represente one of those tasks. There is no champion, the vilain team will try to stole the position, the Titans Chronos and Rhea. The hero and the rival must defeat them in a double battle and then fight each other for the position of champion. Onde the vilains where defeated the Elite four will show up and take their pokemon away from them, to represent the moment where Zeus and his siblings cutted Chronos in pieces. 1Gym - Hestia/Fire. A new pokemon would be the first task for Hercules a fire bull pokemon the bull of Creta. 2Gym - Dionisio/Poison. Nidorino would be Diomedes' horse 3Gym - Hermes/Flying. Skarmory would be birds of Stinfalo 4Gym - Afrodite/Fairy. Yellow fairy type pokemon lile Florges, mawile and ribombee would be the golden apples. 5Gym - Hefesto/Steel. Bastiodon as Gerião's bulls 6Gym - Athena/Psychic. Starmie would be Hipolita's belt 7Gym - Ares/Fighting. Emboar would the boar of Erimanto 8Gym - Demeter/Grass. I like it however there are a few flaws in it (spelling, but I won’t dwell into it), Rhea isn’t a bad guy she’s the reason why we even have the Greek gods as in myth it was Chronos who was swallowing their children to prevent being overthrown. After having nearly all of her children swallowed she wanted to at least save her newborn son Zeus and instead of giving Chronos Zeus she gave him a rock wrapped in a blanket before sending Zeus to an island. After many years Zeus decided to overthrow his father and recruited Rhea and another person that I cant recall, Rhea fed Chronos a tonic that made them throw up all of Zeus’s siblings who by then were full grown adults/teens. Together, they fought against Chronos and his Titan Army which they obviously won. Zeus then cut up Chronos in pieces and threw those pieces into the ocean.
Yea and make her Ace Pokémon Noctowl, even though it isn't a psychic type. Athena's symbol is the owl and noctowl should honestly be psychic and flying in the first place

Man you really need to remake this episode! It's absolutely fantastic to have a Pokémon Region based of Greece. There are so freaking many ideas and possibilities about story elements, new characters and new Pokemon that could be introduced. Plus, during the time of writing this comment you are making the Italy Pokémon Region, so its friendly Mediterranean neighbor might need its own region. Anyway, keep up the great work!

Exactly. I feel like this could be remade like he did with the Western United States video. The main problem is once again being too big as Greece, just like the Western United States, is way too big for just one region. It would have to be far more condensed, most likely cutting out the majority of the islands and maybe some bits of the land itself too.
Water type is the most common type, I don't think anyone would mind if there were fewer in one generation. Egypt has some great history too, especially with Greece, so these two hypothetical regions could be linked.

How about we have a legendary that actually directly visits the people of it's region - It could use the Acropolis for that and use Mt. Olympus as it's own "residence". Similar to Lugia and Ho-Oh in "older" Johto, just that this time it's not a scenario from the past, but from the present :v
Like 15 years ago, me and some friends made a set of regions for Pokémon and I chose Greece. I made a grand total of 71 Fakémon, though only a few really stand out to me looking back, my favorites being... *Herculion* - the Steel/Fighting "cover legendary" with an Ability that lowered the opponent's Attack when targeted by that opponent. *Olympeon* - the Fighting-type Eeveelution with Jolteon's stats, but Attack-oriented. *Phalants* - a Bug-type Pokémon with an Ability that turned its moves into weaker, multi-hit attacks. ...and *Trojaunt* - a Ghost-type Pokémon whose Ability, when it fainted, caused it to leave behind a Substitute for your next Pokémon.
Hear me out: Jolteon based on Zeus Vaporeon based on Poseidon Umbreon based on Hades Sylveon based on Aphrodite Leafeon based on Demeter (edited) And every other

I enjoyed this one quite a bit! It was totally worth the wait :D While watching I stopped paying attention to the time and those 18 minutes went by fast! When you first have a video that's this detailed and interesting, having it 15 or 20 minutes doesn't matter. It would be pretty cool if you had made this into a series, as you posted in a comment here. Oh, my goodness! I find it crazy that you decided to do a video talking about Greece as a Pokémon region because I've actually been working on a fanfiction that takes place in a Greece-inspired region! I had even created the Starter Pokémon already, basing them on Greek legends like Cerberus, the hippocampus, and the faun. However, I've been struggling a bit with the plot and main characters such as Gym Leaders, Elite Four, and villains. I've also had troubles finding some Fakémon to reside in the region as I would like the region to be filled with all new Pokémon never before seen, avoiding cannon-existing Pokémon as much as possible. If you don't mind, would it be okay for me to use some of the ideas your presented in this video to help me with my story?

I feel like Hydreigon and maybe Escavalier would have some sort of alternate forms in this Greece region to fit the whole theme more. Escavalier would be more spartan like, maybe have actual swords instead of Lances, and Hydreigon could have more heads, and either keep his dark Dragon typing, or become a water/Dragon based on how the one version of the Hydra was found in a swamp (if knowledge serves me right).
Martina Bhame Yeah, I was gonna mention that, but I forgot. It could a poison dragon as well because the Hydra had a breath so poisonous, it would kill things instantly. It would probably be a better poison dragon then Dragalge, which wasn't that bad to begin with to be fair.

The thing about Pokémon is that you need a legendary dichotomy, and Greek mythology doesn't really have that aside from the titan/olympian idea. Therefore we should have Pokémon Sky and Ground versions with the legendaries being based on Ouranos and Gaia. Ouranos could be a unique typing of pure Flying type. Or Flying/Electric if you prefer. Gaia would be pure Ground or Ground/Water to match. And for the third legendary you could have Tartarus as Ghost, Ghost/Dark, Dark/Fire or Ghost/Fire. Alternatively you could have Aether and Erebos and finally make the damn Light type to give Aether. Erebos would, of course, be Dark type. Other legendaries you could have include the Minotaur on an island based on Crete in the centre of a maze. The Golden Ram of Colchis. Scylla and Charybdis (version exclusives). The Ophiotaurus could be the Mew of the region. Of course you'd need Typhon, perhaps Echidna too. You could have the Furies as a trio (or the gorgons, but I think it should just be Medusa on her own). And of course we can't forget about Cerberus and Talos. Heck, add in Charon the Boatman too.
legendary trio = The legendary dungeon guards One based off medusa. A female only gender legendary. The typing would be Ground/Ice. Her ability would be Chilling Glare. A new ability that status an opponent pokemon with freeze when it enters battle for 3 turns. Minotaur: A Male only legendary that ground/fighting. It ability would be huge power. Manitcore: A Male legendary that's ground/fire. It ability would be Toxic stun. A new ability that gives poison moves a 30% chance to paralyze if the poison status condition isn't in affect. Side legendaries: Siren- As a Flying/Dark type female legendary with soundproof or pixilate as her abilities. Like meloetta it sings a lovely song to attracts sailors to lure them to their deaths. Charybdis - As a Water/Dark type that's genderless. A pokemon whose inhalations formed a deadly whirlpool or a huge water mouth. Mermaid- As a mythical Water/Fairy female pokemon. It helps sailors that herd the songs of Siren legendary.
How about Echidna, the mother of all monsters. A Fairy/Poison type with a new ability called toxic beauty which poisons (or toxics) any infatuated Pokémon. Also her husband Typhon could be a Poison/Fighting or Fire type with the ability Earthen Rage which would be sort of like weak armor, but for attack.
I like how this video did things, but my idea of Romean Pokemon would be: -Pokemons based of the mythological creatures and animals found mostly in Rome. -Demi gods as gym leaders -Gods as E4 and Champion -Titans as either Legendary pokemon or though post game bosses that you can meet by completing challenges. -Minotaurs and creatures like it (Medusa, Kraken) should be like Volcarona. You find it somewhere and capture it. If you don't breed you only get one each game.
or even better 3 legendary Pokémon based on Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades Zeus: golden eagle (electric/flying) just like zapdos Poseidon: horse (water/ground) Hades: Cerberus (poison/dark)
Plot: Now there's been some talk of a Pokemon reboot (See Lockstin and Gnoggin's theory) so here's my idea based on his/their theory. The legendaries are based on Titans. These legendaries and some ruins are the old remnants of a previous age (The timeline of the previous games since this is a rebooted timeline). They were preseved from Arceus destroying the previous dimension to recreate a new one where pokemon can exist in harmony with humans (I'm assuming in a Gen. 4 remake based on the book of Revelation) by the Pokemon of Preservation based on Persephone being of the area. The region is the only place to have remnants of the past timeline of the region. Sometime these Legendaries started causing chaos so Five Powerful Seer- like Pokemon Trainers challenged them (They are aware of the previous timeline due to their magic power or something) and succeeded in putting them to slumber. The Four (based on Zeus,Hera,Hades and Poseidon) went on to become the Elite Four of the region and they later came to have children who went on to become the Gym Leaders (Oh and Artemis could be the Rock type leader Hunt and all) of the region. While the fifth (based on Hestia) decided to settle down (But I think sometime you will meet her and she will tell you the mechanics of how they defeated the legendaries and the mystic powers and yadayada). I think the Champion (based on Hercules) will be using a team of all legendaries (being the first) and throughout your journey you will be denied legendaries until after battling the leauge or post game to give off this lesson that it takes skill not power to become the Champion. Similar to how Gen. 5 hardly had pokemon from other regions the same can be here and only the Gym Leaders and Elite Four will have and use pokemon from other regions and even have one exclusive legendary/mythical pokemon based on the God's Attributes or Associates (like Apollo's Lyre and Hade's Dog Cerberus) that can be obtained by performing tasks for them in the Post game. Also you're going to use cheats to get into secret places to obtain Pokemon from other regions. I think in the end the legendaries and their boss (based on Cronus but more on it's roman counterpart Saturn) will be awoken once again and the Elite Four are too old to deal with them and the Gym Leaders are not yet masters of like mystic powers so I think the player character will aid the Gym Leaders on becoming full on Mystic Pokemon Trainers and help them defeat the legendaries. Also if there is a reboot I'm going to introduce a rule where legendaries cannot be captured that way the natural balance won't be disturbed Mystic Pokemon Trainers like The Elite Four and the Gym Leaders have made contracts with them (Which is how they summon exclusive legendaries). I think the NPC based on Hestia should explain that Trainers like you and the Champion can only summon them by item given by the legendary if it starts to trust in you. And MAN!!!! This was as long as the video!!!!!!

What about Artemis? She's the goddess of hunting, wild animals, and in some cases nature, if I'm remembering correctly, so the gym leader based off of Artemis could have a grass type gym. Let me explain how both Artemis and Demeter could have a grass type gym. Pokemon games usually come out in sets of two or three, so I'm thinking that *if* this were a set of Pokemon games, Demeter have a gym in one game and Artemis the other. Or you could take out one of the other gym leaders and give Artemis an ice type gym. Why an ice type gym? For a couple of reasons actually. The first reason would be because of Artemis' icy cold attitude towards men. Another reason why to give an ice type gym to Artemis is so she can almost mirror Apollo, her twin brother. So, those are my ideas on possible a gym for Artemis.
Artemis is the goddess of the moon as well, so she should be the rock gym leader, over Hestia at least. Hestia is a fire goddess, so she should be the fire gym leader. Apollo can be psychic since he's the god of prophecies.
Yes, Hades was expeled from Olympus so he was not one of the 12 even though he is one of the main 3 god that is how he forgot about her As the goddess of hunting and the moon so Dark type would be more suitable(with Dark type dogs being used like dogs used to be used(and stil being used) in hunting)
+Pawc4 Actually, if we're being technical, Selene was the goddess of the moon before they gave it Artemis. So maybe there could be a trainer in this hypothetical Artemis gym that's based off of Selene?
Same could be said with Helios and Apollo. Besides, the Olympians are suppose to be the trainers and elite four. Helios and Selene were Titans. Maybe they could be their counter parts on the villain team, even if they were originally good Titans.
That's a pretty good idea but what about other minor gods? I feel like that there's a potential plot point where ex gym leaders based off of minor gods also join the opposing team? Idk. Just an idea.
So no one will mention the Medusa as a legendary Pokemon? I think that the ability to turn anybody into stone just by looking at them would be very powerful especially when when they can be shattered almost in one hit. But it's counter would be Pokemon based of non living things

Inspired by you, I created a pokemon league fo the greek gods. The diffenreces are Hercules is not the chapion, but the rival. The heroes are Apollo and Artemis, they are twins and they have diffenrent goals, the one we player choose will go to league against his rival Hercules, and the other twin will complete the conquest of the 9 muses. The protagonist wants to "return to lympus", like some myths where Apolo and Artemis where banished from there and have to reconquest the right to be a god/dess, and the rival, Hercules, must win the 12 tasks of the hero. One of each memeber of the league represente one of those tasks. There is no champion, the vilain team will try to stole the position, the Titans Chronos and Rhea. The hero and the rival must defeat them in a double battle and then fight each other for the position of champion. Onde the vilains where defeated the Elite four will show up and take their pokemon away from them, to represent the moment where Zeus and his siblings cutted Chronos in pieces.
1Gym - Hestia/Fire. A new pokemon would be the first task for Hercules a fire bull pokemon the bull of Creta.
2Gym - Dionisio/Poison. Nidorino would be Diomedes' horse
3Gym - Hermes/Flying. Skarmory would be birds of Stinfalo
4Gym - Afrodite/Fairy. Yellow fairy type pokemon lile Florges, mawile and ribombee would be the golden apples.
5Gym - Hefesto/Steel. Bastiodon as Gerião's bulls
6Gym - Athena/Psychic. Starmie would be Hipolita's belt
7Gym - Ares/Fighting. Emboar would the boar of Erimanto
8Gym - Demeter/Grass. Sawbuck would be the deer of Cerinia
E4 - Hades/Ghost. Chandelure would be Cerberus chain
E4 - Poseidon/Water. Kingdra would be king Augias' corrals

good idea except us greeks quit doing the greek gods about 20,000 years ago.
I like it however there are a few flaws in it (spelling, but I won’t dwell into it), Rhea isn’t a bad guy she’s the reason why we even have the Greek gods as in myth it was Chronos who was swallowing their children to prevent being overthrown. After having nearly all of her children swallowed she wanted to at least save her newborn son Zeus and instead of giving Chronos Zeus she gave him a rock wrapped in a blanket before sending Zeus to an island. After many years Zeus decided to overthrow his father and recruited Rhea and another person that I cant recall, Rhea fed Chronos a tonic that made them throw up all of Zeus’s siblings who by then were full grown adults/teens. Together, they fought against Chronos and his Titan Army which they obviously won. Zeus then cut up Chronos in pieces and threw those pieces into the ocean.

Man you really need to remake this episode! It's absolutely fantastic to have a Pokémon Region based of Greece. There are so freaking many ideas and possibilities about story elements, new characters and new Pokemon that could be introduced. Plus, during the time of writing this comment you are making the Italy Pokémon Region, so its friendly Mediterranean neighbor might need its own region. Anyway, keep up the great work!

Rewatching this after watching the Italy Poke Region video, and wow have things changed. I would love to see you remake this one with all the things you have learned about making pokemon regions.
Exactly. I feel like this could be remade like he did with the Western United States video. The main problem is once again being too big as Greece, just like the Western United States, is way too big for just one region. It would have to be far more condensed, most likely cutting out the majority of the islands and maybe some bits of the land itself too.

How about we have a legendary that actually directly visits the people of it's region - It could use the Acropolis for that and use Mt. Olympus as it's own "residence". Similar to Lugia and Ho-Oh in "older" Johto, just that this time it's not a scenario from the past, but from the present :v
Like 15 years ago, me and some friends made a set of regions for Pokémon and I chose Greece.
I made a grand total of 71 Fakémon, though only a few really stand out to me looking back, my favorites being...
*Herculion* - the Steel/Fighting "cover legendary" with an Ability that lowered the opponent's Attack when targeted by that opponent.
*Olympeon* - the Fighting-type Eeveelution with Jolteon's stats, but Attack-oriented.
*Phalants* - a Bug-type Pokémon with an Ability that turned its moves into weaker, multi-hit attacks.
...and *Trojaunt* - a Ghost-type Pokémon whose Ability, when it fainted, caused it to leave behind a Substitute for your next Pokémon.
What if Russia was a Pokémon Region? It'd be huge

I enjoyed this one quite a bit! It was totally worth the wait :D While watching I stopped paying attention to the time and those 18 minutes went by fast! When you first have a video that's this detailed and interesting, having it 15 or 20 minutes doesn't matter. It would be pretty cool if you had made this into a series, as you posted in a comment here. If you ever consider making a video featuring Norway as a potential Pokémon region, I would love to help with it.

Oh, my goodness! I find it crazy that you decided to do a video talking about Greece as a Pokémon region because I've actually been working on a fanfiction that takes place in a Greece-inspired region! I had even created the Starter Pokémon already, basing them on Greek legends like Cerberus, the hippocampus, and the faun. However, I've been struggling a bit with the plot and main characters such as Gym Leaders, Elite Four, and villains. I've also had troubles finding some Fakémon to reside in the region as I would like the region to be filled with all new Pokémon never before seen, avoiding cannon-existing Pokémon as much as possible. If you don't mind, would it be okay for me to use some of the ideas your presented in this video to help me with my story?

I feel like Hydreigon and maybe Escavalier would have some sort of alternate forms in this Greece region to fit the whole theme more. Escavalier would be more spartan like, maybe have actual swords instead of Lances, and Hydreigon could have more heads, and either keep his dark Dragon typing, or become a water/Dragon based on how the one version of the Hydra was found in a swamp (if knowledge serves me right).

Martina Bhame Yeah, I was gonna mention that, but I forgot. It could a poison dragon as well because the Hydra had a breath so poisonous, it would kill things instantly. It would probably be a better poison dragon then Dragalge, which wasn't that bad to begin with to be fair.

The thing about Pokémon is that you need a legendary dichotomy, and Greek mythology doesn't really have that aside from the titan/olympian idea. Therefore we should have Pokémon Sky and Ground versions with the legendaries being based on Ouranos and Gaia. Ouranos could be a unique typing of pure Flying type. Or Flying/Electric if you prefer. Gaia would be pure Ground or Ground/Water to match. And for the third legendary you could have Tartarus as Ghost, Ghost/Dark, Dark/Fire or Ghost/Fire.
Alternatively you could have Aether and Erebos and finally make the damn Light type to give Aether. Erebos would, of course, be Dark type.
Other legendaries you could have include the Minotaur on an island based on Crete in the centre of a maze. The Golden Ram of Colchis. Scylla and Charybdis (version exclusives). The Ophiotaurus could be the Mew of the region. Of course you'd need Typhon, perhaps Echidna too. You could have the Furies as a trio (or the gorgons, but I think it should just be Medusa on her own). And of course we can't forget about Cerberus and Talos. Heck, add in Charon the Boatman too.

legendary trio = The legendary dungeon guards
One based off medusa. A female only gender legendary. The typing would be Ground/Ice. Her ability would be Chilling Glare. A new ability that status an opponent pokemon with freeze when it enters battle for 3 turns.
Minotaur: A Male only legendary that ground/fighting. It ability would be huge power.
Manitcore: A Male legendary that's ground/fire. It ability would be Toxic stun. A new ability that gives poison moves a 30% chance to paralyze if the poison status condition isn't in affect.
Side legendaries:
Siren- As a Flying/Dark type female legendary with soundproof or pixilate as her abilities. Like meloetta it sings a lovely song to attracts sailors to lure them to their deaths.
Charybdis - As a Water/Dark type that's genderless. A pokemon whose inhalations formed a deadly whirlpool or a huge water mouth.
Mermaid- As a mythical Water/Fairy female pokemon. It helps sailors that herd the songs of Siren legendary.
How about Echidna, the mother of all monsters. A Fairy/Poison type with a new ability called toxic beauty which poisons (or toxics) any infatuated Pokémon.
Also her husband Typhon could be a Poison/Fighting or Fire type with the ability Earthen Rage which would be sort of like weak armor, but for attack.

Plot: Now there's been some talk of a Pokemon reboot (See Lockstin and Gnoggin's theory) so here's my idea based on his/their theory.
The legendaries are based on Titans.
These legendaries and some ruins are the old remnants of a previous age (The timeline of the previous games since this is a rebooted timeline).
They were preseved from Arceus destroying the previous dimension to recreate a new one where pokemon can exist in harmony with humans (I'm assuming in a Gen. 4 remake based on the book of Revelation) by the Pokemon of Preservation based on Persephone being of the area.
The region is the only place to have remnants of the past timeline of the region.
Sometime these Legendaries started causing chaos so Five Powerful Seer- like Pokemon Trainers challenged them (They are aware of the previous timeline due to their magic power or something) and succeeded in putting them to slumber.
The Four (based on Zeus,Hera,Hades and Poseidon) went on to become the Elite Four of the region and they later came to have children who went on to become the Gym Leaders (Oh and Artemis could be the Rock type leader Hunt and all) of the region.
While the fifth (based on Hestia) decided to settle down (But I think sometime you will meet her and she will tell you the mechanics of how they defeated the legendaries and the mystic powers and yadayada).
I think the Champion (based on Hercules) will be using a team of all legendaries (being the first) and throughout your journey you will be denied legendaries until after battling the leauge or post game to give off this lesson that it takes skill not power to become the Champion.
Similar to how Gen. 5 hardly had pokemon from other regions the same can be here and only the Gym Leaders and Elite Four will have and use pokemon from other regions and even have one exclusive legendary/mythical pokemon based on the God's Attributes or Associates (like Apollo's Lyre and Hade's Dog Cerberus) that can be obtained by performing tasks for them in the Post game. Also you're going to use cheats to get into secret places to obtain Pokemon from other regions.
I think in the end the legendaries and their boss (based on Cronus but more on it's roman counterpart Saturn) will be awoken once again and the Elite Four are too old to deal with them and the Gym Leaders are not yet masters of like mystic powers so I think the player character will aid the Gym Leaders on becoming full on Mystic Pokemon Trainers and help them defeat the legendaries.
Also if there is a reboot I'm going to introduce a rule where legendaries cannot be captured that way the natural balance won't be disturbed
Mystic Pokemon Trainers like The Elite Four and the Gym Leaders have made contracts with them (Which is how they summon exclusive legendaries). I think the NPC based on Hestia should explain that
Trainers like you and the Champion can only summon them by item given by the legendary if it starts to trust in you.

A friend of mine told me about this series a few days ago, and as a long time fan of Rick Riordan’s mythology books, I can’t help but grin at this video as a whole. You’ve clearly done your research, and your passion is obvious. I’m so stoked to watch more!
What about Artemis? She's the goddess of hunting, wild animals, and in some cases nature, if I'm remembering correctly, so the gym leader based off of Artemis could have a grass type gym. Let me explain how both Artemis and Demeter could have a grass type gym. Pokemon games usually come out in sets of two or three, so I'm thinking that *if* this were a set of Pokemon games, Demeter have a gym in one game and Artemis the other. Or you could take out one of the other gym leaders and give Artemis an ice type gym. Why an ice type gym? For a couple of reasons actually. The first reason would be because of Artemis' icy cold attitude towards men. Another reason why to give an ice type gym to Artemis is so she can almost mirror Apollo, her twin brother. So, those are my ideas on possible a gym for Artemis.
Artemis is the goddess of the moon as well, so she should be the rock gym leader, over Hestia at least. Hestia is a fire goddess, so she should be the fire gym leader. Apollo can be psychic since he's the god of prophecies.
Yes, Hades was expeled from Olympus so he was not one of the 12 even though he is one of the main 3 god that is how he forgot about her
As the goddess of hunting and the moon so Dark type would be more suitable(with Dark type dogs being used like dogs used to be used(and stil being used) in hunting)
+Pawc4 Actually, if we're being technical, Selene was the goddess of the moon before they gave it Artemis. So maybe there could be a trainer in this hypothetical Artemis gym that's based off of Selene?
Same could be said with Helios and Apollo. Besides, the Olympians are suppose to be the trainers and elite four. Helios and Selene were Titans. Maybe they could be their counter parts on the villain team, even if they were originally good Titans.
That's a pretty good idea but what about other minor gods? I feel like that there's a potential plot point where ex gym leaders based off of minor gods also join the opposing team? Idk. Just an idea.
So no one will mention the Medusa as a legendary Pokemon?
I think that the ability to turn anybody into stone just by looking at them would be very powerful especially when when they can be shattered almost in one hit.
But it's counter would be Pokemon based of non living things
Medusa would 100% be a Rock Psychic haha

Wow if the trainers were like that.... I'd have a hard time choosing one! I really love the idea of this Greece region! Would also be cool to incorporate the elite 4 into the story like how the Pokémon manga has. :D
