You should of added area 51, where the player would find a secret underground powerplant or military base, with electric or steel pokemon. The player would then encounter another evil team consisting of Men in Black and Scientists who are trying to revive an alien legendary space pokemon. At the same time, Team Relic is trying to revive the ancient fossil legendary.Team Relic and Team Evil men in black are rival teams sort of like Team magma and team aqua in the Hoenn region. Alduin The World Eater I'd like to see a Water/Ground Water/Dark Hippodon in an African region. It's temperament could be twice as bad and considered on of the most dangerous pokemon in the region.
As someone who lives in the North Western US, I think it would be really interesting to have a region itself. There's a fair amount of diversity in my area of Washington alone. Also, thinking about something that was a big deal in my area, the idea behind the conflict with the evil team could be all about the preservation of nature vs the progress of society. Native American vs big corporation developers. There could be a river based off of the Elwha River, which until a few years ago, had two huge dams that blocked salmon breeding routes. The destruction of the dams could even happen in game, and make the route leading to the dams change drastically to show that. But, you know, that's just my thoughts... Would be cool to see something in Pokemon based so close to home.
Doesn't fit quite for the region. A sasquatch with a normal fighting combo might work as a semipsudo legendary. Give it a 2 stage line? For the true pseudo, maybe something of an actual thunderbird of the NW areas. No Zapdos. Just a 3 stage electric flying. Maybe include a killer whale 1 as well? I admit I'm coming up with this idea from an episode of Gargoyles from the world tour arc.
As someone who lives in Colorado, I can attest to the fossil heavy nature of my state. Many building projects have been put on hold for impromptu digs after someone discovered a fossil while breaking ground.
He should of put Alcatraz in there as a place where Ghost types should be captured (e.g Haunter,Ghastly,Mimikyu,Chalandure and a brand new pokemon based off the history of alcatraz like Birdman who is a flying dark type pokemon and its signituare move is a brand new move called Glide which is a alternative to fly but does more damage since it will have more velocity)
Or an dark type based off a criminal or theif. With stealing moves. Or a water steel type Pokémon based off the thing you attach to people’s legs so they don’t swim away. With an ability that damaged all water types. Other that it’s self and other of this Pokémon.
It would be a dream come true to see a Pokémon game based on Southern Louisiana, especially around the Greater New Orleans area. I would literally play that game until it broke. The legendaries could be based off of creatures from Louisiana folklore like the Grunch, the Honey Island Swamp Monster, and the Rougarou. It'd be a good game to fill with lots of psychic, ghost, and dark types too, and there are plenty of animals to draw inspiration from.
Louisiana Should Also Get Pelicans. It is The State Bird. Oh and The Flebebe Line should get a Black and Gold or Purple and Green Variant. We could also do a Whole New Pokemon That is Literally a Fleur de lis. Also a Modi Gras Inspired Pokemon. Annnnd Crayfish oh and a Mosquito.
I'm only fifteen seconds in, and I have to say, I love the intro with the Wanted Posters. And look, even Benjamin has one! Big (classic) show fan here, so thanks for that.
A few people have been asking, so here's all the stuff that I had to cut out of the video (which maybe I'll make a part two for sometime down the road): *Locations (All of these have a spot on the map)* -Grand Canyon -City based on Navajo Nation -Yellowstone National Park -Area 51 -Mount Saint Helens -City based on Seattle (which is where I originally planned for the Elite Four to be) -Devils Tower Landmark (which is where one of the Regional Legendaries would be found) -Glacier National Park *Other Locations (Places and things on routes that I didn't have time to show)* -Route from Utah Town that goes South would be based on Zions/Arches National Park. -Route from San Francisco to L.A that would be "Sunset Boulevard"-esque. -Some kind of "Mystery Shack" cabin on the route north from the Redwoods that would talk about various pokemon found in the forest/route, which you could then find. Essentially it would be like how Mr. Backlots Garden from Sinnoh functioned. *Characters/Plot Points* -6 of the 8 Gym Leader ideas were cut from the video. The other 6 ideas were: Rock Type Mountain Biker, Ice Type Skiier, Dark Type Casino Owner, Steel Type Actor, Electric Type Amusement Park Guy, and Normal Type Businessman. -Elite Four was cut out. I never had any concrete ideas on what their types would be, or even what they would be based on, but I brainstormed a little bit about either Famous Musicians, or possibly Famous American Legends (John Henry, Davy Crockett, etc). -Had another Legendary that was tied heavily to Native American Culture that would have intervened with the two included in the video (Much like a Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza relationship). -Cut out a unique style of battling which I called "Pokemon Duels". Basically it would be like a Wild West Showdown where you and the opposing trainer could only use one Pokemon in the battle, and if it fainted, then you lose (even if you have others in your party). *New Pokemon* -Evolution to Rabijack was cut out (It still had the same typing and abilities). -Two fossil Pokemon were cut out (which legitimately hurt to do, because this region is so focused on fossils). One was a Sabertooth Cat, the other was a Plant Fossil. -Two common pokemon were cut out. One was based on a Moose, the other was based on a Seagull (and would be different from Wingull).
Mr Buddy Canadian Region? Maybe western or eastern side so the eastern side can be connected to Unova and this region is connected to the Western Canadian region.
You could have an Elite Four based on the four elements to represent the early settlers and having to brace the elements in order to survive in the West: Ground (Earth), Flying (Wind), Fire, & Water
I'm creating a region based on the southern part of the US. I think I'll include cities like Miami, Atlanta, Savannah, New Orleans, Nashville, Charlotte, and Montgomery.
"A city based off of portland" *VOODOO DONUTS* Seriously lmao imagine Voodoo Bonuts being a sweet shop called Banette Donuts or something I dunno I just like my damn donuts.
Here we go! I've been working on this Regional Video for a while, and was finally able to finish it! With this being a somewhat longer video, as well as Sun and Moon coming out soon, this might be overshadowed, but hopefully you guys still enjoy this one!
Yes do to the fact that the local population tends to identify more with southern states do too a similar and more intertwined past. Well the western states where carved up from territories.
@@-i1007 It's not that simple. East Texas tends to be more Deep South in culture, but South, West, and Central Texas feel a lot more like the American Southwest. North Texas is a mix between Southwest and Midwestern cultures. So while some of Texas feels distinct from the West, there's also a ton of Western culture there as well. Cowboy boots and hats are very much a thing.
I think it's clear that we need an African/Latin american based region. We already have asian(Kanto,Johto, Hoenn), europe(Kalos), North America/USA(Unova) and Polynesia(Hawaii) pokemon based regions. It make sense to have a region based on Africa / Latin America like EGYPT or BRAZIL. Both regions have full of lore, unique culture, biomes, ecosystems and diverse plant/animal species to create a full pokemon region
Adrian Ortega Australia isn't that bad, it's really nice place. you would likely only have the eastern half, since the western half is mostly desert which is about 70% of Australia anyway.
Adrian Ortega no, every bug and snake Pokémon are part poison and learn Australia fang, a move that poisons and paralyzes the victim as well as not letting them switch out.
Are you kidding me? The Canadians would take native kids from their families and shove them into "residential schools" with horrible conditions to rid them of any native culture. We probably weren't as bad the Americans, but we were still pretty bad.
They should add more regions with a subway only this time it goes all over the region and is like battle subway but instead you also have the option to just ride it somewhere without battling

I'm surprised that you really didn't touch up on more things from Arizona considering the western theme of the video (I am well aware that you couldn't come up with everything, but I'd like to give some ideas) The biggest point: the Grand Canyon. It's the most well known landmark of Arizona and it could be the location of the Elite Four and Victory Road The OK Corral. It could serve as an excellent plot point and could also reveal the origins of Team Fossil considering their whole cowboy motif Native American inspirations. Arizona is filled with lots and lots of Native American mythology and folklore. Perhaps there could be a small side town that has a tribe of native people where the player learns of the legendary associated with fluid progression or run into a Team Fossil admin or the leader of Team Fossil Other things to consider: gold and copper mining, jewelry and fashion, let's not forget Phoenix, and that new aquarium that's supposedly the largest in the southwest (I wouldn't consider that considering all of it's bad reviews)
What if Florida was a Pokemon region. Florida has a lot of diverse landscapes too. Rivers, Lakes, Forests, Marshes, Swamps, Plains, beaches. The big city should be based off of Miami of course
Do Canada! Ontario would be fantastic in my opinion. The 5 Great Lakes could have a gimmick Pokemon that evolves into a different form at each lake, sort of like eevee. Maybe if you bring all 5 Pokemon to Hudson Bay, it would summon a legendary. I also think we could have a Niagra Falls that would border Unova, since Ontario borders New York State. They're not directly connected, but it's pretty close.
You could do all of Canada in one game IMO. Toronto (the big shopping city), Montreal (the historical city) and Vancouver (the city with all the mini games) would be the big cities. The maritime provinces would have all the water routes (a potato Pokémon available on P.E.I) along with flatter routes in the prairie provinces and ice areas in the territories. As for legendaries I would base them off of native american culture like mystical bears and birds.
Or you could have the southern half of Vancouver Island (from the Comox valley down to Victoria) and parts of mainland B.C. (primarily the Vancouver area).
Please do a video based on Texas as a Pokemon region. There's actually a very diverse set of environments, especially in the Rio Grande Valley where it be used as a starting location. Also many possible cities and historic locations to use in the story.
Mario Rodriguez I agree about Texas. The only problem, where should the pokemon league be held? Possible gym cities Dallas, Houston, Texarkana, corpus Christi, Laredo, San Antonio, Amarillo, El Paso.
se03kazana I’d go for Enchanted Rock. Smack dab in hill country and an easy climb but you’d have to hike through a forest then up the rock face to get to the league.
Don't forget not too far away from Enchanted Rock is Lost Maples, which would be cool set up for a hidden/excluded part of the region where you find rare pokemon not normally associated with the region, including maybe a few ice types in caves Also we could have stuff involving perhaps the High Plains/Caprock.
Thanks, but I didn't actually draw them! The only thing I drew was the region map, almost everything else (the Pokemon and Trainers) I commissioned from other people!
Mr Buddy I actually am creating a regional Pokedex fun of new pokemon I'm not complete yet(I've gotten to the Redwoods Forest Area though) when I'm done I would love to show you the entire dex
This would be an awesome region. My dad grew up with western cowboy movies and I grew up with documentaries about dinosaurs so this region would be a dream come true.
It'd have to be made into a relatively peaceful region to have a stable society for a Pokemon league. The main enemies would be religious fanatics or classic "forty thieves" type bandits. China being a Pokemon region would be interesting but would likely have to split into two different regions. One would be North China with the other being South China as those two regions alone are vast and interesting enough to stand alone in a Pokemon game.
"Possibilities are endless" Ehh. Possibilities based off the real world are similarly limited to the world. They ran out of Japanese areas to model them off of.
FrozenGlxceon TV I suggest you go use a day to read about Spains mythology it could help. I am making a fakemon game based on the Philippines and I found that knowing more could actually help you make new and awesome features!!
I love the idea my dude. I can completely understand how you could have easily gone on about this. The west is INSANE - and would make a really good Pokemon region! Enjoyed the video - excited to see more of this series.
two things 1: can you add your UK video to the What If playlist? and 2: Six suggested areas to turn into pokemon regions. 1:Mexico 2:Brazil 3:Italy (Can also include the Microstates of San Marino, Vatican City State and Malta) 4: India 5: Morocco 6: New Zealand do any of these sound interisting
Ugh i really want that dream catcher pokemon to exist! But also this sounds like such a fun take on a pokemon game so good job! You did a wonderful job capturing the culture and geography of the western US. (Though im sad my city seattle got kindof left out) i absolutely love the inclusion of Native American beliefs/mythology btw! My only addition would be the pokemon region "treat" being doughnuts, with the introduction to those doughnut treats in Portland with a shop that is the pokemon equivelant of Voodoo Doughnuts
The Dapper Emo Ghost YES! I wanna see that area happen for a Fossil Fighters revival game/spin-off for the Nintendo Switch! The Western USA should be a pretty cool region for a Nintendo Switch reboot of Fossil Fighters where the plot of the game should revolve around the biggest fossil convention of the year!
Missed opportunity: Yellowstone National Park (location). Being one of the largest volcanoes on the planet, this area could be a place where fire type pokemon reside.
Well,if you mean in scale, probably something small with only one region and possibly fakemon. If you mean concept,I'm using multiple regions around the world to make different games, one of them is Brazil, the other one is Australia and there's even one based off of Florida
Montana doesn't get snow in July maybe the mountains do but thats it. Compare that to Canada 🇨🇦 we live in "igloos with wifi and we have tamed polar bears"
Pokemon World Blue/Green/Red. That's what I would call them, with each game having around 400 Pokemon some version exclusive and some in every version and legendaries that are either region or event locked for balance.
Would love that, have always liked the chance to go back to Kanto after finishing the main story in Gold/Silver 🥰 Too bad they never made such an extensive post-game like that again. I felt like I played through the Unova region games in like the a third of the time, I used on the old region games....
Felix Charles Ooh, and what about a Pokémon line based on the Wooly Bear Cattapillar being Ice/Flying? Or a Bluejay/Cardinal being the regional bird? Maybe if the Jackalope idea was used in this region instead, perhaps a Fire/Fairy Physical Jackalope/Jack Rabbit starter with things like Flame Charge, Play Rough, Jump Kick, etc.
The evil team could be a corrupt politician working along side an Al Capone esque gangster for Chicago! Could be cool. And I live in Chicago and its not that bad either haha The lesson here is the news makes everywhere seem bad but in reality it's never as bad as it seems. But a midwest region could be cool.
If you ever do “what if Alaska was a pokemon region” a good story to inspire the lore could be the 1925 nome serum run! It’s the story of man and dog walking together to carry life saving medicine across 700 miles in some of the worst conditions on earth to epidemic-stricken nome! Also maybe events like the Iditarod could be a source of inspiration??
AssyriaXTaylor That sounds a lot like how Opelucid city changes depending on which games which one plays. That concept was already used in Unova but you probably mean mean those concepts being expanded upon and much more blatant.
I think it would be Pokemon Solid(because solids are firm and non-moving) and Liquid(Because liquids are fluid and flexible) but I think Paleo and Neo would also be good
They'd have to include down to Texas and Louisiana for water levels. Though I could see some great Plains based pokemon included from my home area only. If they did Louisiana they could include Bull sharks as river fishing mon. Not just Sharpedo.
+ita-eng subber Just because it has been covered once doesn't mean they can't make regions for the other parts of the nation. The u.s. is bigger than that obviously so they won't run out of places anytime soon.
ita-eng subber you have never been to the usa have you? because i literally can think of 10 off the top of my head. I can name far more if i think about it. as for site of historical interest... LOTS of native american burial grounds, and structures in the desert from the Anasazi tribe for one. You must be italian i'm guessing? Just because your country has more stuff from civilized societies, does not mean it has more stuff.
Pretty cool ideas. The only things I would change are the typing of the dreamcatcher (Dark type is for somewhat evil/malicious Pokémon, maybe Fairy/Ghost (Still kinda related to night, dreams and mystical stuff) or Fairy/Psychic (because dreams are something from our brain, think of Hypno or Mushana) and of the wolf legendary, just because we already have Lunala as Psychic/Ghost mascot legendary
8 років тому+43
they could do the fallout approach and make it in "Detroit"
Having fun looking through these, great ideas! Though being from Texas, I'm a little miffed it was not included when you have a cowboy theme here...But everything else is great. Reno could be a good place as a game corner if it was brought back too. Alcatraz could potentially be another good spot for more ghost too, but I like the ghost town idea a lot. I'm afraid I'm not sold on the legendaries though--like, Catacacta looks cool and I like the name a lot, but the design doesn't hit me as a legendary--I thought it was the regional look for Persian when it first popped up. LIke, i like it a lot, but it doesn't give me an "umph" feeling a final boss would like some of the others in your vids. I think exploring some native American beliefs further would be awesome for legendaries though--Like Coyote, who was often seen as a trickster. I could see team Relic (love this idea btw, the cowboy desperadoes trying to come to terms with the changing west) reviving a coyote pokemon to try and go back to the good old days and he goes a little too far. I think there's a legend about Wolf and Coyote being brothers. Raven would be cool too, who can be both a trickster and a kind hero/creator. There's others cats too--like the Water Panther. Could make them and Catacacta roaming legendaries like Raiko and co. I could see including Natu and Xatu in there too and shine a light on the tribes and history of the west.
Canada's big enough to be at least 10 regions & you know it. Ontario alone is big enough to be 2 Regions, same for Quebec. Of course we won't get remotely half of Canada's regions in the main series.
Luke Wisniewski I like the idea of India becoming a region, it has different biomes that can be home to unique pokemon, but I think Sri Lanka is unique enough to be it's own seperate region, being Sri Lankan my self.
India would also be a good place to depict the difference between the rich and the poor, different beliefs (Hindu vs Muslims, India vs Pakistan) and it would have a good origin story to go after, when Britain turned India into a coloni... there could also be many legendaries, since India got multiple gods and goddess, some of which being different forms of the same god or goddess, giving the legendaries various forms for the evil teams, we could make it like a similiar case to Magma and Aqua, in which 1 version would have you fight against Team Hindu (yeah, I doesn't feel like being more creative) and another having you fight against Team Muslim, though the end result would be that there would accept that each side have different beliefs but that it's still possible to co-exist together, we could even have a legendary that's based upon Mahatma Gandhi... and if not a legendary, he would be a legendary trainer that never used his Pokémon for violence, but still constantly strived for peace
I think its fun that it's long, and people can always pause and watch later. For me it would be fun to hear you talk about the region with the pokemon of that area and a bit of the story. Like a mini game for us and a story as well. Great JOB! i can't wait till you run out of ideas and have to go COSMIC!
he didnt even say anythign about seattle or any of the stuff up in northern washington and oregon, which there are some pretty cool stuff like big foot or maybe even some small elements of canada
Australia would be filled with Poison, Rock and Bug type pokemon. Would like to see it come to life in the pokemon world, it should be a more challenging game with tougher wild pokemon appearing earlier on
Also, Idaho is one of two places that you can find star garnets. It would be interesting to have a place in the middle northern area of this region which is the only place where you can find a 'star stone' or something.
how about a norse or Icelandic region? i think that could be an amazing region that could focus on cold and harsh weather such as blizzards acting like dust storms in other pokemon games, increasing the chance to find wild pokemon? it could be pretty cool!
Captflameskull Pokémon Nordic Version 80% of the region is snow covered the majority of the time. 95% of all the Pokémon are part Ice-type with none of them being a Fire-type. Character Customization returns but the only options are blond or skin head.
Oh my god I just got an idea for a region based off of South Dakota (my state lol) So this will sound weird to anyone unfamiliar with it but hear me out. There’s SO MANY POSSIBILITIES. There’s very diverse wildlife and terrain. The Missouri River separates East from West River. East River has plains, cities, and farms. West River has mountains, forests, and attractions such as Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Mammoth Site, and multiple historical sites. It’s incredibly diverse for a pretty small amount of land and I think it has a lot of potential as a region!

@@ernestlam5632 Nah, he is meant to be a yeti.
Abomasnow regional variant: grass/ground ability: run away/stench hidden ability: Cryptic visage. It is a new one that increases evasiveness.
Love the idea, but i think it should be a mythical pokemon.
Western US more like just arizona and california
Should have a low chance on the Oregon trail routes to have your pokemon ''faint'' from dysentery.
NamesAreStupid yes!!!!!
NamesAreStupid honestly, that’s what I was thinking too
And then a some chance we’re the town your in bank gets robbed and there are outlaws everywhere
Should get poisoned, and the old walk poison concept we had would go into play, except it wouldn't be able to be walked off
And whe you pass throught a pokemon spawn point, instead of meeting pokemon you sometimes you get ambushed by bandits and you get in a surprise pokemom battle.

I was thinking of an evil team based on Scientology. But that might be a bit too close to reality...
Also, Team Flare kind of goes in that direction.
pokemon uranium be like
Pokemon Future and Pokemon Past
but I thought that area 51 was in texas, would make a bit more sense because of the space station in H town a.k.a Hostion.

I Agree
there better be a nod to Seattle's grunge music lifestyle. nirvana and pearljam. with a nod to kurt cobain
There could be a Dark-type Gym with a grunge motif, kind of like how Roxie from B2W2 had a Poison-type punk rock gym.
Sun and Moon are ditching the Gym system entirely, though, so maybe expanding the grunge theme to an entire town or city would work better. Seattle's Industrial District springs to mind.
Probably one of the most original Pokemon video ideas on UA-cam. Everybody just copies what JWittz is doing. Good video!
As an Alskan, I humbly request a video about an Alaskan based region. Don't forget about the wolervines and bison!
Could we put Victory Road in Alaska? :O
All of the bear pokemon
Yes, an Alaskan based region would be nice. And my mother grew up in the Southern US, so I humbly request a video about a Southern US based region.
When his version of an alternate Meowth and Persion look better than GameFreaks alolan form.....
And that Torkaol is already a thing. It's called Hippoudon

Alduin The World Eater I'd like to see a Water/Ground Water/Dark Hippodon in an African region. It's temperament could be twice as bad and considered on of the most dangerous pokemon in the region.

Kinda like Unown
Wendigo is more North East of the US. Not a Western mythological creature.

Wendigo is Canadian. I'd say a Sasquatch would be better

Yes, yes, yes! All of that and more.
Richard Crosby don’t forget about the Boogaloo too!
We also need the Loloré house and something with Marie Lavou
Native American culture needs to be a massive part of any Western USA region IMO. like, to AC3 levels
EXACTLY YES
Especially Mexican culture too, in case everyone forgets most of the south west was part of Mexico
A regional Xatu would be cool to see
@@tlaloqq Mexican culture because it was part of Mexico? Well no, because during Mexican rule it wasn’t really settled
@@tlaloqq i would rather a mexico region by itself
I'm only fifteen seconds in, and I have to say, I love the intro with the Wanted Posters.
And look, even Benjamin has one! Big (classic) show fan here, so thanks for that.
I think it would be cool if your starter is a fossil you find and get restored
That's an interesting idea. Another might be you can choose between a fossil-restore pokemon or a pokemon from a ranch.
Bob The builder YEAH! Totally!
Bob The builder interesting idea.
That's a cool idea but I don't think most people will want a rock type as a starter.
Marixa Calderon tell that to Pokémon ranger. YOU CAN PICK CRANIDOS AS YOUR PARTNER.
A few people have been asking, so here's all the stuff that I had to cut out of the video (which maybe I'll make a part two for sometime down the road):
*Locations (All of these have a spot on the map)*
-Grand Canyon
-City based on Navajo Nation
-Yellowstone National Park
-Area 51
-Mount Saint Helens
-City based on Seattle (which is where I originally planned for the Elite Four to be)
-Devils Tower Landmark (which is where one of the Regional Legendaries would be found)
-Glacier National Park
*Other Locations (Places and things on routes that I didn't have time to show)*
-Route from Utah Town that goes South would be based on Zions/Arches National Park.
*Characters/Plot Points*
-6 of the 8 Gym Leader ideas were cut from the video.
*New Pokemon*
-Evolution to Rabijack was cut out (It still had the same typing and abilities).
Mr Buddy
Canadian Region? Maybe western or eastern side so the eastern side can be connected to Unova and this region is connected to the Western Canadian region.
wow, only the g canyon
Do sweden next!... cuz y not...
You could have an Elite Four based on the four elements to represent the early settlers and having to brace the elements in order to survive in the West: Ground (Earth), Flying (Wind), Fire, & Water
thank you for another video like this but can the next video be about a romanian region pls?
I'm creating a region based on the southern part of the US. I think I'll include cities like Miami, Atlanta, Savannah, New Orleans, Nashville, Charlotte, and Montgomery.
Kermit Sweet Tea yasss
You should add Pensacola too. Or mobile ( Smaller but diverse cities)
Chicashaw (chick-a-shay)
What would you Do to New Orleans?
Cool!
The Pokémon you made, Dreemy, the Dream Catcher Pokémon, is good for protecting people from the region from Darkrai. xD
Dude. Alcatraz in a Pokémon would rule. The series needs a new super dark place that can outdo Lavender Town.
*region
DuelmasterX3 generic ghost shape pokemon that resembles chained prisoners could be found there.
DemonEyeX Ikr?
DuelmasterX3 Great minds think alike.
Could even house a secret ghost gym or something
"A city based off of portland" *VOODOO DONUTS*
Seriously lmao imagine Voodoo Bonuts being a sweet shop called Banette Donuts or something
I dunno
I just like my damn donuts.
I've been there! Maybe a huge poke puff shop?
This comment is amazing! Yessss!
- hunee bee! DOUGHNUTS!!!!!!
Here we go! I've been working on this Regional Video for a while, and was finally able to finish it! With this being a somewhat longer video, as well as Sun and Moon coming out soon, this might be overshadowed, but hopefully you guys still enjoy this one!
Mr Buddy yeehaw
Mr Buddy do canada or Mexico (I'm from neither of these countries)
Mr Buddy do denmark
Can you make a region of slovakia or czechia ? I am from slovakia and want to see more abouth my country.
Mr Buddy Midwest US Do It
Texas doesn't count as Western...?
Also, Native American mythology is a gold mine of possible new monsters.
south western usa.
Yes do to the fact that the local population tends to identify more with southern states do too a similar and more intertwined past. Well the western states where carved up from territories.
‘-* I Uh Oregon is not a Western State at all
Texas is to big
I would totally play a game set in one of those regions.
Sashy Jolly A region in Iberia ( Portugal and Spain) would be interesting.
How about Australia as a region?
Golden Mustang All the Pokémon want to kill you.
Adrian Ortega Australia isn't that bad, it's really nice place. you would likely only have the eastern half, since the western half is mostly desert which is about 70% of Australia anyway.
Adrian Ortega no, every bug and snake Pokémon are part poison and learn Australia fang, a move that poisons and paralyzes the victim as well as not letting them switch out.
the destructive peanut This needs to happen.
they would also faint at the end of the turn, since Australian snakes are the most venomous in the world.
I think legendaries of this region could use Native American mythology.
Oh god a Pokémon based off Piasa would be amazing
I think that'd be better in Canada. we're not cunts to our native population.
naw just to the french
Are you kidding me? The Canadians would take native kids from their families and shove them into "residential schools" with horrible conditions to rid them of any native culture. We probably weren't as bad the Americans, but we were still pretty bad.
It could contain sigilif
Me: The Western US is the Western side of the country
Me Buddy: Well Yes but actually no
Ashules that’s Texas!
They should add more regions with a subway only this time it goes all over the region and is like battle subway but instead you also have the option to just ride it somewhere without battling
They should add more regions with a subway only this time it goes all over the region and is like battle subway but instead you also have the option to just ride it somewhere without battling
I'm surprised that you really didn't touch up on more things from Arizona considering the western theme of the video (I am well aware that you couldn't come up with everything, but I'd like to give some ideas)
The biggest point: the Grand Canyon. It's the most well known landmark of Arizona and it could be the location of the Elite Four and Victory Road
The OK Corral. It could serve as an excellent plot point and could also reveal the origins of Team Fossil considering their whole cowboy motif
Native American inspirations. Arizona is filled with lots and lots of Native American mythology and folklore. Perhaps there could be a small side town that has a tribe of native people where the player learns of the legendary associated with fluid progression or run into a Team Fossil admin or the leader of Team Fossil
Other things to consider: gold and copper mining, jewelry and fashion, let's not forget Phoenix, and that new aquarium that's supposedly the largest in the southwest (I wouldn't consider that considering all of it's bad reviews)
Wasn't the Grand Canyon already used in Orre though? Same for Phoenix which is Phenac City. ORRE IS HUGE & Probably contains more than just Arizona.
Destiny Acedo the grand canyon is in Colorado, right? Or am I thinking of something else?
@@chonkayyy no, the grand canyon is in arizona
"Western United States" HEY MAH LOOK ITS WHERE I LIIIVE!!!
The Ultimate Robot! Mood
What if Florida was a Pokemon region. Florida has a lot of diverse landscapes too. Rivers, Lakes, Forests, Marshes, Swamps, Plains, beaches. The big city should be based off of Miami of course
And a lot of crazy news stories
The Anonymous AcclerDew Orlando would have Eeveeland and LA would have pika land
Miami is so overrated. Idk why people outside of FL have such a hard on for Miami lol
The evil team can be Florida men
O303 Gaming underrated comment
a pokemon región based in Mexico! please!
Mexico is a very beautifully diverse land. Enriched with many different cultures and history.
BeFoRe1690 yaaaassssss
BeFoRe1690 btw I'm Mexican
BeFoRe1690 Evil Team is a villain who tries to create a giant wall surrounding the entire region in order to keep the people locked in...
The evil team would be a drug cartel which uses some kind of drug to empower pokemon abilities !!
Dr Ukato the leader of the evil team also happens to be the champion of unova
Another ghost type area could be the Winchester Mansion
Or Alcatraz
reivven omg you like kingdom hearts!
Shawk I think Alcatraz would work better as the evil team's hideout.
Ooh! You're right!
Zygarde Complete maybe there could be something like a unova aftergame if it was set in Canada?
OOH OOH OOH!
MAYBE ONE BASED OFF OF CENTRAL CANADA! Y'KNOW, WITH ALBERTA AND MANITOBA AND SASKATCHEWAN!
When I think "video game world Canda", I can't help but think of Scott Pilgrim. XD
Make a Texas/Mississippi/Louisiana/Florida Region
Texas Pkmn based: Roadrunner , Longhorn, Pinto Horse, Box Tortoise, Raccoon, Rattlesnake, Armadillo, Fox Squirrel, Rat Snake, Opossum, Red Tail Coyote, Badgers, White wings, Camel spiders, and Ocelot cat
Mississippi Pkmn based: Red fox, Rock Toads, Fawns, Moose, wild hogs, Alligators
Louisiana Pkmn Based: mink, muskrats, rabbits, nutria, alligator turtles, woodcocks, skunks, beavers, civet cats, cranes, and bobcats
Florida Pkmn Based:Panther, Zebra Longwing Butterfly, Caiman, Alligators, Crocodiles, Boa, Pythons, Large Mouth Bass, Pelicans, Northern Mockingbird, Manatees, Dolphins, and Hammer head shark
The Louisiana part can have people talking about moving from Kalos :-D
Texas can be its own region.
Rodolfo Alegria YEAH! Along with Eastern Texas!
So south
Louisiana Should Also Get Pelicans. It is The State Bird. Oh and The Flebebe Line should get a Black and Gold or Purple and Green Variant. We could also do a Whole New Pokemon That is Literally a Fleur de lis. Also a Modi Gras Inspired Pokemon. Annnnd Crayfish oh and a Mosquito.
Don't forget not too far away from Enchanted Rock is Lost Maples, which would be cool set up for a hidden/excluded part of the region where you find rare pokemon not normally associated with the region, including maybe a few ice types in caves
Also we could have stuff involving perhaps the High Plains/Caprock.
You should do one on Egypt next!
And I'd like to a region based on Peru! 🇵🇪
african region (if you do choose to do an african region plz add a Dakar based city or town )like if you agree
CoconutGraham Africa....Were the Zebstrika run and the Pyroar hunt............It is........The...... circle of life.
British Indian Mapping it has to be split into west south east and north
It's time to take my Rapidash to the Old Town road, and ride till I can't no more.
Your pokemon designs are awesome you are a very good artist
Thanks, but I didn't actually draw them! The only thing I drew was the region map, almost everything else (the Pokemon and Trainers) I commissioned from other people!
well your ideas are still great and the map design was cool congratulate the other artists for me
+Mr Buddy make some more like every week or so i like these i need more of it
The Creator dddddddddddddddddddddddddddaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Mr Buddy I actually am creating a regional Pokedex fun of new pokemon I'm not complete yet(I've gotten to the Redwoods Forest Area though) when I'm done I would love to show you the entire dex
This would be an awesome region. My dad grew up with western cowboy movies and I grew up with documentaries about dinosaurs so this region would be a dream come true.
How about a region based on the Middle East? Or maybe one based on India? Or China?! Or Peru?! The possibilities are endless!
Yeah, that's what Pokemon needs, a region based on Saudi Arabia...ALLAH ABRA!!!! *BOOM*
In Peru the flora and fauna is really big , there area lot of histories , if Peru were a region , they should make at least 5 games based of Peru
Rabidcolombian In the game you fight terrorists that use voltorb and electrode to kill people, and yell allah abra when the explode them!👏👏👏
It'd have to be made into a relatively peaceful region to have a stable society for a Pokemon league. The main enemies would be religious fanatics or classic "forty thieves" type bandits.
China being a Pokemon region would be interesting but would likely have to split into two different regions. One would be North China with the other being South China as those two regions alone are vast and interesting enough to stand alone in a Pokemon game.
"Possibilities are endless"
Ehh. Possibilities based off the real world are similarly limited to the world. They ran out of Japanese areas to model them off of.
How about instead of excluding southern arizona, make Orre a visitable location post game, ala the Jhoto games.
You can have a pokemon called gun. it is a gun
Aero Noivern BANGBANG!
Orthogorg, Eater of Planets I was thinking of more of a POWPOW type of thing but that might work too
That would be perfect in a region based on the southen U.S.
Give Me All Your Money All we need now is a morbidly obese person and a school shooter
Give Me All Your Money You understand this is based off the West not the South...
im working on a own fakemon game based on Spain so I'd love to see a video about Spain as a region to get some oppinions or overall ideas :)
wait I just noticed isn't all this art from Devildman on IG?
Spain could be pretty cool! And good eye! I commissioned him for the "new Pokemon" of the region and the evil team grunts!
Mr Buddy oh Thanks! it's just I follow his art community a lot hehe. And thanks for the nice reply! :)
FrozenGlxceon TV I suggest you go use a day to read about Spains mythology it could help.
I am making a fakemon game based on the Philippines and I found that knowing more could actually help you make new and awesome features!!
Why Spain, there's no memes there
My 5th grade teacher showed the class this video thinking it was educational.
Poor thing.
I love the idea my dude. I can completely understand how you could have easily gone on about this. The west is INSANE - and would make a really good Pokemon region! Enjoyed the video - excited to see more of this series.
two things
1: can you add your UK video to the What If playlist?
and
2: Six suggested areas to turn into pokemon regions.
1:Mexico
2:Brazil
3:Italy (Can also include the Microstates of San Marino, Vatican City State and Malta)
4: India
5: Morocco
6: New Zealand
do any of these sound interisting
animalia555 Brazil is a good choice. The climate and areas are really diverse.
Ysmahely Filho Thanks
Indeed
Mexico would be awesome for a Quetzalcoatl inspired legendary
yeah,I also think Australia
Ugh i really want that dream catcher pokemon to exist! But also this sounds like such a fun take on a pokemon game so good job! You did a wonderful job capturing the culture and geography of the western US. (Though im sad my city seattle got kindof left out) i absolutely love the inclusion of Native American beliefs/mythology btw! My only addition would be the pokemon region "treat" being doughnuts, with the introduction to those doughnut treats in Portland with a shop that is the pokemon equivelant of Voodoo Doughnuts
do the South for a Pokemon Region, i'd love to see something like that knowing a Creative Mind as yourself =D
Yes, my mother grew up in the south on the edge of the swamp.
"That sounds a bit crazy for an evil team's plans."
*SHOWS CYRUS AND LYSANDER*
Or maybe it's not to insane.
Nice.
What if Mexico was a Pokemon region
Please
Same
Tbh there should've been more Mexican inspiration in Western US already. At least in the LA based town and some of the pokemon surrounding it
What if Croatia was a Pokémon region? 🇭🇷
So this is basically Oregon Trail: Pokemon Edition?
Just reading the title makes me imagine Steel Ball Run but with Pokémon
Magus the Outrageous. I KNOW RIGHT!
The Winchester mansion *needs* to be a ghost type location in the Pokémon world. Death valley would be a good landmark too.
There could be a whole area based on the Hell Creek Formation
The Dapper Emo Ghost YES! I wanna see that area happen for a Fossil Fighters revival game/spin-off for the Nintendo Switch! The Western USA should be a pretty cool region for a Nintendo Switch reboot of Fossil Fighters where the plot of the game should revolve around the biggest fossil convention of the year!
Do a region based off Mexico
How about Spain about a region?
Its ilands and deserts, and mountains, lots of sea...
If you read this, investigate and you will be surprised.
Xavier Estellés Good idea
Missed opportunity:
Yellowstone National Park (location). Being one of the largest volcanoes on the planet, this area could be a place where fire type pokemon reside.
How about a region based on Brazil?
such a beautiful place
like, beaches,a big mountain in the main city called "The SugarBread"
and too much grass types
dat neighbour under your bed until you get durg and wake up in a bathtub of ice missing a kidney

Pokemon Water and Pokemon Land
You sneaky little snitch ;)
Conlan Kroes kalos hadn't that much water too and it was great!
Clearly you just hate having more value in your game. .___.
dont_mess with_me genzevenr
Can we actually use these as fangame ideas?
Yeah, go for it!
Thanks dude! I have been working on some fangames and some of these ideas really do help.
like what fangames if i can ask?
id like to see that fan game
Well,if you mean in scale, probably something small with only one region and possibly fakemon.
If you mean concept,I'm using multiple regions around the world to make different games, one of them is Brazil, the other one is Australia and there's even one based off of Florida
This is awesome. Can't wait to see what you do with New Mexico and Arizona. Would really like to see Native American themes.
"There's even places here it snows" meanwhile in Montana we get snow in July
Myth Gaming Really?!
welcome to the mountainous north.
Myth Gaming
crazy,huh?
Montana doesn't get snow in July maybe the mountains do but thats it. Compare that to Canada 🇨🇦 we live in "igloos with wifi and we have tamed polar bears"
Paul Theexpertgamer wait you don't
Man I wish someone made a fan game where you can go to every region including mr buddy's ideas
I think a Great Lakes region (Canada, Michigan, Chicago, etc) could be really neat!
*Ice/Bug, I meant. Stupid auto-correct
Dovahgatr I was think the same thing, but i live in Detroit and its not that bad. Chicago is more dangerous in my opinion
The evil team could be a corrupt politician working along side an Al Capone esque gangster for Chicago!
Could be cool.
And I live in Chicago and its not that bad either haha
The lesson here is the news makes everywhere seem bad but in reality it's never as bad as it seems. But a midwest region could be cool.
Alcides Diaz thats actually a great idea
If you ever do “what if Alaska was a pokemon region” a good story to inspire the lore could be the 1925 nome serum run! It’s the story of man and dog walking together to carry life saving medicine across 700 miles in some of the worst conditions on earth to epidemic-stricken nome! Also maybe events like the Iditarod could be a source of inspiration??
Soooo... Pokemon Paleo and Neo?
Those would be on point!
AssyriaXTaylor
That sounds a lot like how Opelucid city changes depending on which games which one plays. That concept was already used in Unova but you probably mean mean those concepts being expanded upon and much more blatant.
I think it would be Pokemon Solid(because solids are firm and non-moving) and Liquid(Because liquids are fluid and flexible) but I think Paleo and Neo would also be good
EricX 73 dude, team plasma, remember
What if the Midwest was a pokemon region? I want to see how my state is incorporated into it!
They'd have to include down to Texas and Louisiana for water levels. Though I could see some great Plains based pokemon included from my home area only. If they did Louisiana they could include Bull sharks as river fishing mon. Not just Sharpedo.
Yo you to I’m in Minnesota
@@jfb173jb The Great Lakes would have more than enough water
@@jfb173jb rivers, ponds, and the great lakes can serve for water themed areas. Id like to see some more freshwater pokemon
I too want to see more Normal types.
Wait serious, an electric type gym leader in an Amusement park...
ita-eng subber Japan's been covered like... four times
ita-eng subber yeah, though generally around New York, or something like that.
GUYS HES MAKING FUN OF THE UA-camR! THEY ALREADY HAD A ELECTRIC TYPE GYM LEADER IN AN AMUSEMENT PARK! ITS IN UNOVA!
Ooo I love going for walks in the redwoods forest it’s so pretty there! I’m glad you included that in this new region
What if the Southern United States was a Pokemon Region?
Brody the south will rise again!!1!!
I'd love to explore the Gulf...and traverse Wall Trump and feeding my pokemon southern bbq.
You could have a team that wants to make a brand new region where they will be in control
Mostly Texas, Florida, and Louisianna. They're all full of cities.
(Trust me, I LIVE in Texas, and travel to Louisianna and Florida every Summer)
The Blue Chameleos
Yeah, you are right. I have been to Texas a few times as well as Florida and they are big states.
Pretty cool ideas. The only things I would change are the typing of the dreamcatcher (Dark type is for somewhat evil/malicious Pokémon, maybe Fairy/Ghost (Still kinda related to night, dreams and mystical stuff) or Fairy/Psychic (because dreams are something from our brain, think of Hypno or Mushana) and of the wolf legendary, just because we already have Lunala as Psychic/Ghost mascot legendary
they could do the fallout approach and make it in "Detroit"
lol
plumpkitters
What if they made a pokemon region that's a radioactive wasteland
Wait. DID YOU JUST SUGGEST MICHIGAN AS A WASTELAND?
The special gimmick for this region is making your Pokémon drunk and giving it a gun
*Reads Title*
So....
You're analyzing the desert we call ' home '-
I want Canada!
luke cote The champion must be a Wolverine parody or I will kill myself
ya
The Villianous Team Better be called "Team Eh" , Eh?
i second this! ^^
Do you want to do the ENTIRE country or just a few select areas?
You know, I would love to see a Brazil based Pokémon region.
Oregon trail themed?
"YOUR PARTY FAINTED FROM DYSENTERY"
*WHAT IF CANADA WAS A POKEMON REGION*
Canada Exists Yall
-Also Drumheller, in Alberta would be cool! Drumheller is an amazing place that has lots of fossils. It would be an amazing place in a Pokemon game!
Canada's big enough to be at least 10 regions & you know it. Ontario alone is big enough to be 2 Regions, same for Quebec. Of course we won't get remotely half of Canada's regions in the main series.
Watch this be the gen 8 region
Have the Stanley cup as a post game legendary
Canada doesn't exist. That's just a story made up by the people of North Montana.
How does India sound? I think will make out as great region, due to its geography and sites.
And Sri Lanka could be a small island with your home town.
Luke Wisniewski, Yeah! exactly!
Luke Wisniewski I like the idea of India becoming a region, it has different biomes that can be home to unique pokemon, but I think Sri Lanka is unique enough to be it's own seperate region, being Sri Lankan my self.
India would also be a good place to depict the difference between the rich and the poor, different beliefs (Hindu vs Muslims, India vs Pakistan) and it would have a good origin story to go after, when Britain turned India into a coloni... there could also be many legendaries, since India got multiple gods and goddess, some of which being different forms of the same god or goddess, giving the legendaries various forms
for the evil teams, we could make it like a similiar case to Magma and Aqua, in which 1 version would have you fight against Team Hindu (yeah, I doesn't feel like being more creative) and another having you fight against Team Muslim, though the end result would be that there would accept that each side have different beliefs but that it's still possible to co-exist together, we could even have a legendary that's based upon Mahatma Gandhi... and if not a legendary, he would be a legendary trainer that never used his Pokémon for violence, but still constantly strived for peace
D.C Harmony I want a grass/psychic elephant starter
I think its fun that it's long, and people can always pause and watch later. For me it would be fun to hear you talk about the region with the pokemon of that area and a bit of the story. Like a mini game for us and a story as well. Great JOB! i can't wait till you run out of ideas and have to go COSMIC!
he didnt even say anythign about seattle or any of the stuff up in northern washington and oregon, which there are some pretty cool stuff like big foot or maybe even some small elements of canada
I’m now imagining an Southern region with beautiful mountains
Hey! Could you do one on Australia? I mean I know it would be similar to this, but maybe try to make the coastline more of the focus?
Australia would be filled with Poison, Rock and Bug type pokemon.
Would like to see it come to life in the pokemon world, it should be a more challenging game with tougher wild pokemon appearing earlier on
Also have a box legendary based on the Rainbow Serpent
Please make a California based region 🙏🏼
Pez Chai Yes mah home!
Yes, please do! I live in southern California!
Yee
Since bigfoot originated there, that would be a great legendary
What if China was a Pokemon region
Please
SUPER.00D.M0NK3Y.24 GAM31NG 8/10 too many people...
SUPER.00D.M0NK3Y.24 GAM31Ng it would brake
That's a great idea, but i doubt Game Freak will ever do that

What if Norway was a Pokemon region
Please
I would include Phoenix. There was a city in unova based on hawaii
Blizzards that FUNCTION like the sandstorms in desert areas in other regions,my mistake.
Yeah! And volcanoes and hot springs!
like having a Nordic region would be fantastic!
KelpieKappa and maybe also a 100ft Garados in the sea, like the Midgard serpent in Nordic mythology!
Captflameskull
Pokémon Nordic Version
80% of the region is snow covered the majority of the time.
95% of all the Pokémon are part Ice-type with none of them being a Fire-type.
Character Customization returns but the only options are blond or skin head.
What if Ireland was a Pokemon region
Please
8/10 too much water (rain)
Scotland would be cool to.
Or just Ireland and Britain in one game.
Leprechauns, and lots of water types.
I'd actually really like to see one of these episodes on Italy. So much cool stuff to use there.
Michael Rich Yes broo
It would be really cool to see Italy!
+Michael Rich Yes pls
Imagine a starting or lore-focused town based on the city of Urbino; with a massive library and trainer school. :)
Oh my god I just got an idea for a region based off of South Dakota (my state lol)
So this will sound weird to anyone unfamiliar with it but hear me out.
I think there should be Pokémon based on constellations. They'd be pretty trippy, but I think it'd be an awesome addition.
Actually I can see that incorporated in the wolf design.
