Hearing that sentence jogs up so much resentment about brittish criminal justice. Many years ago my ex brother-in-law's brother was mugged by couple who were drug addicts. He refused to hand over his wallet and the attacker stabbed him, killing him. The couple was found and arrested thanks to a witness, however they only received two years in prison. My ex brother-in-law was already immensely grief stricken, but the day his family thought they would see justice for their lost loved one they were slapped in the face and it only made the pain greater. Someone takes another's life and they culprit only gets two years? What the hell? I believe the leniency was due to their addiction problems, but I still can't wrap my head around it. My ex bil had a very long and difficult road of acceptance, but it still pains him deeply.

@@louisliu5638 The slowest Ford Fiesta ever made can do 122 mph. I recommend you go to the Daytona race track on a HPD event for street cars and take your economy car for a top speed test so you can see how fast it can actually go. As a guy who was once 19, there can at times be a feeling of invincibility. The more positives a kid has going on in his life, the better. Was this kid in college? Did he have a girlfriend or maybe even engaged to be married? I would guess the answer would be no to both of those questions. Did he hang out with guys who had similar path of an uncertain future? I'm going to say, probably.
Sometimes the positives don’t mean anything. You can have all you want in life by hard work and effort, and still learn the consequences when you commit a crime even if you think it’s not moderate or minor due to the severity of the incident itself.
As someone who is 18 and has brains, all I gotta say is, this is endangering the lives of others and it's common sense that that's a bad thing.

That is a capital offense in the US and could carry the death penalty. 2 years is absolutely ridiculous
That never happened, a case like this would be extremely rare. Drug addicts don’t roam around and stab people to death in the UK. Stabbings happen, but what you described is complete fiction. All cases will be published and I have never heard of this
