My favorite is how humble Page and Plant are. They acknowledge where their music roots came from, and are happy to pass it on to other genres. My all time favorite band, with so many happy memories.
It's ok. I'll curse for you. It's a mind fuck! Welcome to Led Zeppelin. One of my favorites by them. Especially this rendition. That slide guitar solo by Page is just sick. You can feel the soul in this song, appropriately enough.
Dude, you talked about his hair and what a gorgeous looking guy, well he'll yeah!! He made me a very happy teenager back in the 70s, went to all their concerts, best time of my life🤟
Hey man I gotta give you props! I'm glad I found your channel later into my reaction discovery. I consider Led Zepp my fav band, Beatles are 1A and check this out, being that it's a late watch from me (Jan) I have seen your Beastie Boys reactions that all reaction peeps are hot on now finally. FIRST of all - you do Beastie boy tracks that are not the usual as well as the regulars and now I see you did the same for Zepp. They are both KINGS of the awesome transition even though so different in musical styles. I loved seeing your face change on that one transition late in this song. LED is the GREATEST TRANSITION BAND EVER and this is one track I love that doesn't get reactions too just like your Gratitude Beasties reaction. So many people request Stairway to heaven or Intergalatic etc but it's the Levee Breaks and the Car Thieve tracks less requested that can be the JUICIEST so THANK YOU for going beyond the norms and your followers who can pay a small amount to get their favorites done. I dig the whole thing - I've seen a lot and my music library is VAST so keep up the great work! Peace
There's something super magical (and somehow extra sexy) about the Earl's Court shows. They might not sing/play at the very height of their capacity but the vibe is just something else.
Man, you were grooving to it and smiling and the solo kept going.... then you put your hand to your head.... Your mind was blown. you couldn't take no more...
Jimmy just goes off here. Swamp music Zep style. When Jimmy, JPJ & Bonzo are jamming it is pure heaven. You need to see the 20 minute version of Dazed & Confused from MSG. There's some of the fastest, tastiest playing I've ever seen/ heard in my life.
From the old blues song (Blind Willie Johnson) "Jesus Make Up My Dying Bed." Note Robert said "So I gave her the gun and I shot her!", a quote from Jimi Hendrix's 'Hey Joe.' And omg, the bass and drums on this! Oh, and they had fun alright. Back in the day, we girls were crazy for Robert (and Jimmy), also wished I had hair like his. This (and all at Earls Court) performance is one of my favorites.
OMG no lie here. Im watching you watch this and I noticed RP hair and gushed again saying I need this screen shot. Took the shot then you said LOOK AT HIS HAIR. 😆😆😆😆 Hes legendary .. oh hell they all are individually and then collectively they are out of this world.
Teez , I have to say brother awesome job . I have listened to Zeppelin since 1968 and there style is unique where the drum guitar and base played at different beats on almost every song you can listen to the studio version and the live version is where you hear it ., thats why you said what you did. I was fortunate and blessed. Futhermore any song is worth listening to and I want to add Robert Plants solo career is epic as well especially his first three albums . I hit the subscribed and rang the bell ,look forward to seeing all your reaction stay cool brother
It's trance like, a meditation on death and the hope of an afterlife. Gospel song sung by many inspired by a passage in the Bible from Psalms. Zep Rules, Plant's voice was a bit tired here but still great stuff, just not their best. 75 the drugs started to affect Jimmy. Then the band suffered much mis-fortune until their ultimate end after Bonham's death. I loved these guys growing up, soundtrack to my life. Skipped school when Bonham died and partied all day listening to Zep with some buddies.
Check out Robert Plant in the group The Honeydrippers: Sea of Love and Young Boy Blues. Jimmy Page in The Firm: Radioactive and Satisfaction Guaranteed. Groups they formed in the 1980s. Think you’ll like them.
The Earls Court shows in May 1975 were probably the high water mark for the band in terms of live performance. After that they had a horrendous run of bad luck, Plant had a car crash in 1976 which put him out of action for months. Page sunk deeper into heroin abuse. The 1977 US tour was cut short by the death of Plaint's young son in July 1977. Of course Bonham died in 1980 and the band was no more.
If you decide to listen to the album version, you will realize just how good this live version is. I’ve never heard anyone play a slide like Jimmy Page. He plays on in “When the Levee Breaks” as well. This is an old Blind Willie Johnson gospel song.
Yup, Jesus going to make up my dying bed, was the name of the song, Page was playing slide on a Danelectro guitar, this was an epic concert. The version on Phisical Graffiti was amazing.
You broke the cardinal rule! NEVER pause a Jimmy solo!! 😁Jimmy’s solos are unmatched!! Robert’s acapellas are mind blowing also they are always keeping you on your toes so nothing is offbeat unless the mean for it to be. To get the reference of “You Shook Me All Night Long” in this you really have to go listen to ALL of Led Zeppelin I (One) so do yourself and me a huge favor and react to their beginnings! It’s my therapy.
It felt off "beat" as you put it, because they were improvising.... That's what they did in their Live shows. They just played off each other lyrically and instrumentally. You saw a bit of it between Jimmy and Robert in this one. "Whole Lotta Love" Live at MSG, you'll see them do that while Jimmy "plays" a Theremin(Sonic Wave Antenna). It's pretty cool, plus the song is a banger!! Keep 'em coming... Oh and thanks for the honesty. It's refreshing!!
This is a serious seduction of the senses (excuse alliteration) that at times almost overwhelms the listener; between Plants' voice & Pages' fretwork, they're stroking the frontal lobes into submission. You simply have to surrender to it. Period. 🎸🎶
Listen to the studio version... a masterpiece of studio intensity.. the live Led Zeppelin was different for every show , shows often went 3 to 4 hours...
Dude, this album came out in 1975 and I can honestly say I usually skipped past this song until around 1990 when I got a job where I could play my boom box at work and I would just play entire albums(cassettes and later cd's) all the way through. Once I started doing that this song quickly became my favorite Zeppelin song of all time for the next 20 years. In other words what I am trying to say is it grows on you the more you listen to it. Also on the time signature changes. I never really liked rap music much and i always thought it was because of all the rhyming and the style in which they sang the songs. But then I started to listen to groups like Rage Against the Machine, Limp Biscuit and especially Kid Rock and i soon realized that it wasn't all the rhyming and the type of singing I didn't like. it was the lack of time signature changes in rap music I didn't like. The whole entire song would be the same signature pretty much the whole song. Also, the singers would rarely change their pitch or anything at all in the way they sang. i found that boring. But groups like Kid Rock who would sing rap type songs but with rock type music I really liked. So i imagine listening to rock songs where they change things up so much might be a shock to you and hard for you to adjust to if you are a rap fan.
You should listen to the album version of anything Led Zeppelin, they change everything up when they play live, not a huge fan of live recordings, Led Zeppelin in the studio is the music of the gods!
Have you listened to the Album version? I'm not dissing this LIVE version bc it is str8 fire, but, the recorded version w/ its clarity and DRUMS(!!!) will knock you out. PEACE.
This is one of the outtakes from Earl’s Court. It’s not nearly as good as the other performance of this song from Earl’s Court, which was released on the 2003 Led Zeppelin DVD. This version is quite sloppy, and lacks the intensity of the officially released performance. The studio version blows all of them out of the water, though.
Ten Years Gone When the Levee Breaks Baby I'm gonna leave you Going to California House of the Holy Good Times Bad times Dazed and Confused and ... and ... and ... it never stops
NOT ONE OF HIS BEST SONGS BUT ITS GOOD -always do studio on a led zep first listen never live first or you get the wrong impression its never the same and it is NOT WHAT MADE THE SONG FAMOUS ---THE STUDIO IS WHAT MADE LED ZEP KNOWN AND LOVED THE LIVE CAME WAY LATER
The studio recording is cleaner and easier to "mellow" to. This is frantic and the sound is not good. Plant's voice cracks a few times and Page get's a little sloppy with the slide in concert sometimes at moments. It makes for an exciting show, and my favorite concert of all time, but the albums are works of art.
Robert Plant's voice was trashed by the end of this tour so he's not hitting those high notes very well in this video. That's pretty impressive.. this is a bad version of his vocals.
My favorite is how humble Page and Plant are. They acknowledge where their music roots came from, and are happy to pass it on to other genres. My all time favorite band, with so many happy memories.
It’s my Favorite L.Z. Song. I got it from the first note. They cover the blues with perfection! 😎👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
It's ok. I'll curse for you. It's a mind fuck! Welcome to Led Zeppelin.
One of my favorites by them. Especially this rendition. That slide guitar solo by Page is just sick. You can feel the soul in this song, appropriately enough.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 thank you fam!
Thanks for saying it for him.
That is what is called the greatest performance of all times!
Love my led zeppelin Today at 58 I'm still jamming 🔥👍
You nailed it bro,a roller-coaster, this song is the ultimate 'mind f**ker', tightest band in the world.
My favorite LZ song for many years.
The greatest rock band every.4 of the most talented my musicians ever.
This version is proof that Jones is the most underrated bassist in music history.
Dude, you talked about his hair and what a gorgeous looking guy, well he'll yeah!! He made me a very happy teenager back in the 70s, went to all their concerts, best time of my life🤟
I'm a drummer and BONZO will always be my man but this song deserves three letters...JPJ!
Jesus...how lucky I was a teen in the 70s!! And yes...Robert and Jimmy...sexiest men alive!!
well, now they're just showing off. Perfect timing...always in sync. BEST BAND EVER...JIMMY FCKING PAGE!
Achilles Last Stand is like you described this song.
Hey man I gotta give you props! I'm glad I found your channel later into my reaction discovery. This really is back delta blues/rock music....
Man, you were grooving to it and smiling and the solo kept going.... then you put your hand to your head.... Your mind was blown. you couldn't take no more...
Looking again,. It's about 8:15 where your smile fades and you pitt your hand to your head.... It's too much for any human
They changed the blues forever
Three musicians and a singer can make a lot of music.
That BASS tho...
And this is why they are the BEST!! Yes you will love live 1979 Achillies Last Stand!

Mine too I was there. Time machine time. Love it.
Nice, someone who knows some blues history.
Bonzo go's off on this song, one of my all-time favorites.
They are the GOAT!
Greetings from Cleveland and Bonham and Jones were arguably the greatest rhythm section ever....
To me there was Led Zeppelin, and then everybody else.
Wow...they need to pay you...and give more! I watch the ads because I know they pay the bills
I appreciate you love! Thank you always! ❤️
You're right, Teez. Just when a groove gets going they change it up, which I find frustrating, but something else good happens so...just go with it 😉
"And I gave her the gun, and I shot her".
An ode to Hendrix.
This Band is soooo Tight!!!!

The masters doing the business.
GOATs, man. SO MUCH MATERIAL for you to cover here. TY.
Zep are the GOATs for me, Teez....but you might also consider checking out some Lynyrd Skynyrd. An epic, southern rock classic band. TY.
Cool to see a brotha get into one of LZ's more bluezyer tunes! Always dug this tune...
Check out Robert Plant in the group The Honeydrippers: Sea of Love and Young Boy Blues. Jimmy Page in The Firm: Radioactive and Satisfaction Guaranteed. Groups they formed in the 1980s. Think you’ll like them.

This song is a masterpiece and all but thanks for taking a moment to pay homage to the hair!!
😍
legendary for this kind of attack . the song is 100 years old at least .
If you decide to listen to the album version, you will realize just how good this live version is. I’ve never heard anyone play a slide like Jimmy Page. He plays on in “When the Levee Breaks” as well. This is an old Blind Willie Johnson gospel song.
Facts!
Page is very underrated as a slide guitarist. He's only, behind in my humble opion, Duane Allman.
Craig Wiggins I have to agree with you.
Yup, Jesus going to make up my dying bed, was the name of the song, Page was playing slide on a Danelectro guitar, this was an epic concert. The version on Phisical Graffiti was amazing.
@@craigwiggins253 Derek Trucks can hold his own with the best on slide, but Page can rock it.
This was a good one dude....=) Zeppelin was it back then.
It reminded of "Church" a Black Gospel Church were the Preacher preaching and everyone is saying "Amen" and shouting and doing the Holy Dance!!!
Page... such a sexy player. Just everything he does is gold.
Love that your doing live, just as good as recorded versions if not better. Definitely get better guitar solos
Some save the best for last, you ate the cake...
When they're bad they're good and when they're good they''re really bad.
Yes I remember..
The Goats 🎸🎸🎸🎸
kashmir live 1979 earls court wont disappoint promise one of there most popular songs if not the most
Yup, Robert Plant is always easy on the eyes.
You broke the cardinal rule! NEVER pause a Jimmy solo!! 😁Jimmy’s solos are unmatched!! Do Trampled Under Foot from the same concert please!!
It’s just as good as this one!
Yes.
This is a serious seduction of the senses (excuse alliteration) that at times almost overwhelms the listener; between Plants' voice & Pages' fretwork, they're stroking the frontal lobes into submission. You simply have to surrender to it. Period. 🎸🎶
Oh beat?...your funny! 😂 there are great bands out there, but there will only ever be one GOAT...THAT WOULD BE LED ZEPPELIN!
Listen to the studio version... a masterpiece of studio intensity.. the live Led Zeppelin was different for every show , shows often went 3 to 4 hours...
Jimmy Page is absolutely amazing live.
Check out "Dazed and Confused" Live at Madison Square Gardens 1973
(just ignore the dream film clip in the middle)
Dude, this album came out in 1975 and I can honestly say I usually skipped past this song until around 1990 when I got a job where I could play my boom box at work and I would just play entire albums(cassettes and later cd's) all the way through. Exactly! I believe you explained it perfectly, the time signatures are so unique in Rock music
Right, except I can't stand Kid Rock (or Ted Nugent or Kiss).
John Paul Jones layin down the groove. Fuck!
Robert had the hair of THE BRECK LADY ads of the 70s
Love your channel and i'll keep watching the ads
Truly appreciate you!
Good reaction React to Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert, Robert Plant “ Crazy little thing called love” It’s really good👍
Check out the Scorpions: Still Loving You, The Zoo, Rock You Like a Hurricane and No One Like You. You will love them.
You should listen to the album version of anything Led Zeppelin, they change everything up when they play live, not a huge fan of live recordings, Led Zeppelin in the studio is the music of the gods!
Yeah man, plant is one fucking HOT unit. Not gonna lie there.
08:30: (over-goddamn-whelmed)
Never heard this version
Studio version is prolly the best LZ song
I was at this gig
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Steve Harris who would eventually form the awesome band Iron Maiden was at this show
You need to listen to the studio version for context.
The audio version is so much better. All of the nuances are missing from this performance.
This is heavy handed: the soul is missing.
I agree, but it's still great though..
Have you listened to the Album version? I'm not dissing this LIVE version bc it is str8 fire, but, the recorded version w/ its clarity and DRUMS(!!!) will knock you out.
PEACE.
They British React to Queen Brits as well
These dudes know how to create art music

This ain't Justin beaper
It was early in Jimmy’s heroin phase apparently
Studios version is less conjested

The song is based on an old slave spiritual.
Yeah bruv Robert Plant did more banging than a shithouse door in a gale !
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Robert Plant's voice was trashed by the end of this tour so he's not hitting those high notes very well in this video. That's pretty impressive.. this is a bad version of his vocals.
and that's not even the best 1975 earls court In my time of dying version 🤓
I'm Single 😍😥
Come over. I’ll give you the ray rice treatment
