Matt, I'm a dad, and I watch your videos with my kids on Offtheranch and demo ranch. Though the content of the videos might be really simple sometimes, I think that the way you host, film, and produce your videos is very polished. I also like how family-friendly they are. You should be really proud of them.

This is a very late reply but, I used to work for a company that had a work truck and trailer broken into at a high end motel in Las Vagas. The trailer was emptied out except for a tool box that was bolted down and a pair of work boots. The motel did have security personnel in the parking lot and that made no difference at all.

I know this is an old video... but due to a recent break in with my own vehicle... I completely understand what you guys dealt with here.
I was parked at my local bowling alley, place i've been countless times. This time around, someone decided to break out my passenger window and steal a tablet and a laptop from the vehicle (both well hidden in the vehicle). It happened in broad daylight as well.
Same situation... bowling alley was helpful but said "oh, yeah, that happens quite a bit". They do NOT have cameras on the outside of their building either...
I cannot stand people who are willing to take from others... They really need to get off their lazy butts and put in the effort instead of taking from others who are putting in the effort to get ahead in life.

I admire your strength. You did a lot better than I could. It hurts to be preyed up on just for being a decent human being & no one wants to lower themselves to the thief’s level but sometimes the anger of being so hurt leaves you overwhelmed. Your a good man, Dr Matt, a good husband, a good daddy, hard worker, smart man, supportive man, a caring sensitive man. Your compassion for the animals you treat, your passion for the God given gifts you’ve received (don’t get full of yourselves lol, as if) if your ever my way Long Island, New York give a holler. Ok cowboy! Love ya, a old lady fan.

Matt, sorry that happen. In Arlington it normal for car to be stolen. In Fort Worth not so much due to cops patrol more. Reason why it happens you have a large volume of tourist because of six flags, ranger games etc so it easy to steal. Word of advice don't spend the night at hotels in Arlington either stay in fort worth area or outside of Dallas.

Most likely, the car was stolen to facilitate other crimes, like drug dealing. If they are caught, they abandon the vehicle and flee on foot, and nothing ties the car to them. It's very common. The car will eventually be found, probably after it is crashed into something. And law enforcement doesn't respond with an officer because there's nothing to physically investigate until the car is found. They take the plate and VIN, but that's all they need.

What happens is that there are more reports of more serious crimes that get reported.. you can have trippled their force capacity and still not have enough people to report to thefts purely because serious crimes shift and go up and down all the time. You need to realize that when they say it will be awhile they are busy. And if they call you and say they are not coming it means there is bad shit going down.. Oh Idk. Cases of battery, assault, attempted murder, child abduction, rape etc.

That kind of thing happens all over the country. That's why I laugh hysterically when people think the police will always protect you.

Drywall is pretty much paper to a 50.... like it would take a LOT of drywall.
