Drilling out a lock is pretty quick and easy. You just need to know where to drill. If you try to drill right in the key hole, that is a real quick way to break a drill bit. This video shows where to drill the proper hole so you can unlock a door that you don't have a key for. If you need to drill out a dead bolt, it works the same way as the handle in the video.

What if the fatter/pin side is on the top and not bottom?
That is still the side you want to drill. typically it will be on top. Tenant that installed the lock in the video put it on upside down.
@@RoscoReviews I bought 2 new drill bits, for metal. The hole started ok. But they didn't get far, maybe 1/4 in. and I kept drilling. But even with the new drill bits it won't drill through.
