Still using my X since 2017 never felt the need to upgrade since most of the newer releases were very similar to it except of course for the camera and battery life. However, the new ProMotion display in the 13 pro is worth the upgrade.
I upgraded to 13pro max from X. Both are great phones but I love my new one. Only reason I decided to upgrade was bc my battery was degraded on my old phone.
I was just about to say - for anyone with a good condition X , just replace the battery and continue updating your phone. I have the 11 pro Max and I’ll only upgrade if I choose to just get a new one. And that’s not even within the next 2 years lol. I got this phone when it came out in 2019.
I just ordered a new iPhone 13 Pro Max today! I’ve been using my iPhone X for four years and the battery finally hit the degradation point that throttling kicked in. So, it was a choice between upgrading, or replacing the battery for nearly a hundred dollars. As a heavy user, I figured it was a better investment to just put that money toward a new phone. But, I will say, the iPhone X is an absolutely amazing phone. If it wasn’t for the timing of my battery issue, I definitely would’ve continued on with it for another year at least. I have nothing but good things to say about it. Best phone experience I’ve ever had, and that’s saying a lot because I’ve had a few other iPhones that I loved over the years also. It’s a beast. It runs surprisingly well and snappy (with a good battery) even in iOS 15 and it’s essentially the same phone as the current iPhone 13 minus some iterative speed/camera upgrades. If you’re considering getting it, do it! You won’t regret it. And if you’re choosing between the X and the XR, definitely get the X because of the beautiful OLED display. Cheers!
I've had my iPhone 10 for almost 3 years now and it is still working absolutely perfectly. After 3 years of continuous use (average screen time 8h a day) my battery capacity is on 88% and lasts 6+h (unless I'm playing leage of legends on it). Overall, doesn't feel dated at all, the photos are good and the screen is still great. If you are looking for a cheaper iPhone I would definetly recoment it.
Honestly, I had an iPhone X since the first week it’s been out. Absolutely amazing phone. I’m only upgrading to the iPhone 13 because the screen shattered and Apple wants $279 to repair it. Even with the screen shattered the phone runs flawless. The only complaint I have is the battery. It is absolutely terrible. My battery health is 78% but what can I expect? It’s been 4 years since having this phone and I hate to let it go..
Woww just seen this. I’ve had my X 256 GB since 2017. And it still looks brand new, as I’ve had it in a good protective case. The only problem I found now, it’s maybe slower. But great news, I’ll not be renewing till 2022 or later. Thanks😃

I just upgraded to an iPhone X from a iPhone 8 Plus. While the specs aren’t very different at all, I’ve got to say the X feels faster somehow. Still got mt Iphone X. Every year im watching the keynotes for the newest Iphone because I would love a good upgrade. Until now no new Iphone has given me a reason to switch to the newest one.
I think for these older devices, we need some major leaps in right to repair, and availability of OEM parts. Being a tech repair person myself, I trust myself working on my device. I wouldn’t want someone else fixing my phone. I have insane attention to detail. If they scuffed my phone I’d be mad. If companies would make their parts available to us consumers, we could keep these devices going with their proper hardware.

I still use a IPhone XS in mint condition, and I don't regret it at all, the formfacter the camera does exactly what I need it to do since all of us think we need all these cameras and top of the line state of the art cameras and shit meanwhile all we do is take selfie's and landscape
The iPhone X Silver is my absolute favorite modern designed iPhone. The stainless steel silver frame around the dual camera still looks so much better than the triple lens. I’m using the graphite 12 Pro right now and I’m still missing my silver X.
Finally upgrading to the Pro Max. My iPhone X crashes, can't play stable lossless music, cracked screen, battery is good for 4 hours of screen time, no 4g LTE. Paid it off 3 years ago, just time to go up for me. If somebody just needed a normal iPhone the X is still solid if they don't have any issues on their's. Mine got A LOT of use.
It just because apple waits a few years before a complete overhaul. Pretty sure people with the iphone 6 felt the same way you do about the 6s, 7 , and 8.
I got my used Xs 3 months ago, 256G, $390(fairly new). iPhone 12 what ever specs, minimum $800. nowadays new phones comes out rates higher than ppl’s phones switch rate, what’s the point getting the newest when the previous versions are new for you? Except if you have been getting new phones each year, and each year you need to have that new phone. the future is for second hand phones, of course if the phones aren’t swap with any of their internals.
I loved 3D Touch with one game. It has/had a big advantage. All you need to do to aim down the scope is press a little bit harder on the screen. Other people needed to press the scope button and had to pull their hand off the screen so they couldn’t aim for a split second.

The fact that you can repair the iPhone X without receiving error codes makes it one of the best flagship 📱

I switched from iPhone X to the 11 Pro Max half a year ago. Now, I’m loving it and will continue using it until 2023, until the notchless display happens. For whose who have the 11 Pro series, I recommend not to upgrade to 12 because there are just some small differences in person as I experienced it.
I got the iPhone X in November of 2017. My battery health is at 86% and it's still going strong. I am a big power user and a technology enthusiast so ofc I do see a bit of an issue with ram remembering applications and battery life. Overall tho it's running really well.
Only reason I upgraded was promotion, so worth it. My gf has a regular 12 and it feels sluggish side by side.
crazy how good a phone it is for $300ish, id rather go with that than a modern low end phone.
Still using my iPhone X. I just need a battery replacement.

I just got an iPhone X 256gb last week for $300. Really happy with!
Cheers!

Bought mine on Nov 13,2028. Changed the battery last year. Works like charm.
I just got an upgrade from my seven to the XR in coral and I'm obsessed with it! Can't wait to find a clear case for it
Great upgrade
I've had my iPhone 10 for almost 3 years now and it is still working absolutely perfectly. After 3 years of continuous use (average screen time 8h a day) my battery capacity is on 88% and lasts 6+h (unless I'm playing leage of legends on it). Overall, doesn't feel dated at all, the photos are good and the screen is still great. If you are looking for a cheaper iPhone I would definetly recoment it.
Am using my 7+ for 5 years and it still run fast and get ios15. I only need to replace the battery once
Thanks for this bc I was debating about upgrade. I’ll keep as long as she performs
Mines 78 too 😁 just gonna get apple to replace it job done

do a factory reset (or use the Succession tweak if ur jailbroken) and i promise u it will feel faster, even after u restore all ur photos/apps/etc. idk why this is the case but my 6s+ was unusably slow, constantly freezing and overheating, not responding to my touch or button inputs for DOZENS of seconds at a time, yet when i factory reset it it worked like new
