  • Hi friends, these are the first of three shorter videos I made till I return in a few weeks to a regular schedule. I apologize in advance if they seem a bit different than my regular videos, but we had to make three in one day because of time.
We start first with a typical Persian Breakfast. These are what is normally served at hotels, or tea houses. I usually never serve all of these at the house together, just one combination of them, with, of course, tea.
My usual breakfast is some bread, feta cheese & walnuts with sweet tea. Normally I use a sugar substitute.
I want to thank all of you for watching my videos and helping others in the comments. I try to read and respond to all comments, but these days it's rather difficult to keep up, so thank you all for the support and the great community we have here.
    Love you all,
    Yousef

Persian/Iranian culture and food influenced Turkey a lot that's why. Also in North of Iran they add olives. In the North of Iran you have the most variety in different kind of olives, marinated and natural.

Due to the fact that large parts of Turkey belonged to Iran for thousands of years, not only Turkey but also all of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, and parts of Pakistan were part of Iran. You can search for the map of ancient Iran on Google. Iran is a great and glorious country with a 7,000-year history. It is only in the last 45 years that the mullahs' regime has been destroying Iran.

@@Hullj Some people say what do you eat for breakfast? Some think that breakfast has to be food on a plate that you finish. But Iranian breakfast is just taking bread and putting cheese and honey on it and the tea is very good. Tasty breakfast which is good for work days and you don't have to worry about cooking or anything. I think this simpler breakfast is less heavy and better for morning than pancakes and meal type breakfast.

Thank you for this beautiful video, uncle Yousef. 🥰 It reminded me of the breakfasts I had in Iran. One of my favorite things was the bread with the Iranian white cheese - which to me is different than Greek feta or Turkish beyaz peynir and I’m still sad I can’t find anything similar in the Netherlands - combined with carrot jam. A jam I never knew existed until I realized how empty my life was without it. 🤭
Could you maybe make a video making different kinds of tea? I noticed in Iran how the tea tasted a bit different everywhere you went because they add more than just tea leaves to the brew (probably saffron, rose, cardamom, herbal tea mixes and other stuff?). I would love to see an elaborate video explaining all the different teas you like to make (or know). ☺️🌸

I grew up with Persian friends in Texas and I was always happy when they would feed me. The food is some of the best in the world (I think Iraqi and Persian food is the best) and you could tell the food is made with love and kindness. You are doing a great service teaching the world these recipes. Thank you yusef. Seeing the foods and learning how to cook the foods are only part of what Persian food is about. When I stay at my Persian brother's house. This is the kind of breakfast we get. And so I sort of know how to eat that. With an awful lot of your recipes though, you show us the finished dishes but you don't show us how to eat them. For instance, White's in America will eat with forks and assume that if you don't eat rice with a fork, you're going to use chopsticks. Wrong. You use a spoon. You use a spoon and Thailand. But when you are showing us dinners that I have not personally experienced, I'm not really sure what goes where or how we eat it. I mean if we were coming to your house and you were giving us dinner, what are the table manners that you would expect from us? Example in the US you're not typically going to put jelly on eggs. That's obvious to Americans. Or to most Europeans. It's not obvious to someone who has never had that food before. So some direction around the dues and don't dues of mixing foods and being mannerly at a Persian table. I would really love to learn more about. Thank you. I love your channel. And I love that you sound like my brother and his friends.

Iran is a large, beautiful, and ancient country. The people of Iran are kind and cultured. The only problem is the regime of the mullahs in Iran. The people of Iran despise the mullahs. Please remember us by Cyrus the Great and his Cylinder of Human Rights and the help he provided to the Jews, and by Reza Shah the Great who helped Polish refugees, not by the mullahs.
