I'm so sorry poor little Kip got so sick and has this virus! Kip and Myla are so cute and hope they can play together soon get better.! I know it's stressful and hard dealing with illness in our beloved animals and especially having just rescued her! You try to get some good rest and relaxation! Love to you and kids❤❤❤❤❤
Good to hear Kip is healing and feeling better. Lots of high stress and worry. Especially, after you lost your mother and Botton last year.
Kip and Myla is adorable!!! Ty Sharyn for always educating us!!! So many blessings to you and all of the zoo babies! 💖🌸🥰

Thank you for this info. Sharyn! We know that the ferrets are in good and loving hands.
Once again you have saved a precious little angel. Bless you.
So glad they are healing!❤
They are both so beautiful🤗
Thanks for making this video. Learned a ton of information. Thanks so much.
You're welcome 💕
myla misses her sister. it's awesome how they have bonded so quickly with each other and with you. you are a great pet Mama because you do your research and you're on the ball when something like this happens. I bet a lot of new ferret owners would not have really known better and might not have gotten medical attention quickly. good job!
They are back together again & so happy about it 💕💕💕💕💕💕
Oh, I’m so sorry to hear this😢. Get well soon, sweet Kip♥️

I have two 5yr old ferrets, just brought home a 5 month old ferret from petco on Tuesday afternoon and they all spent maby 4 hours playing together and slept in the same cage overnight and the next day while i was at work, then Wednesday night both my old ferrets started projectile vomiting with the green mucus poop. I septated them from the new ferret overnight and all day today(Thursday) I've been syringe feeding them water and their kibble soup and chicken baby food. I think it's ece, my vet had today off and the receptionist told me to try calling them tomorrow(Friday) when they open to maby get them in. Their very lethargic and dehydrated still and my old boy fert is pooping pink slime and my old girl is bouncing back slowly. I'm praying the vet gives us the ok to bring them in tomorrow I'm so worried about them, specially my old man fert
I'm so so sorry 💔 When I brought in a young new ferret the same thing happened. I hope you get into the vet today 💕🙏💕
Yup vet said their ok, gave them medicine for stomach ulcers and told us to give them Pepto 3 times a day till their poop is normal, and if it flares up again to take them back for prednisone. ece appearently permanently alters their intestines and they become constantly irritated hence the mucus poop. also vet said if they were worse she would've given them antibiotics but she didn't think they needed it. and now we have to separate them from the new ferret for at least a month. Total price for the visit for the 2 was under 200$. Hope this comment helps outher people but if you have ferrets and think they have it, please take them to a vet!!!
How is your ferret doing now? My new adopted ferret just died right after I brought home from a shelter. Now my other ferret got ferret enteric coronavirus from him. I give her two antibiotics twice a day for 3 weeks. Her poop seems normal again. But my vet told me that she will be caring coronavirus her whole life, and will only live up to 3 years.
You may have answered it in the video. But if it is not transmissible how did they get it?
It is transmissible from ferret to ferret.
I have the same issue. My ferrets seems to keep getting it again and again. How long should I keep her on medication?
You may need to treat all the ferrets. Ask your vet about that. I'm so sorry you're going through this 💔
I think my ferret might have ECE he has no symptoms other than mucusy poop and sometimes it’s green he has a vet appointment this Wednesday
Thank goodness you're going to the vet. I advise you to take a sample of the poop with you so they can see what it looks like to properly diagnose. Usually give two antibiotics given at home to get rid of it. Please let me know how it goes I wish you all the luck in the world. But just know when your baby gets treated it will be as good as new. In the meantime I would grind up the food in a coffee grinder and soak in warm water to make it easier for your ferret to digest the food and to make sure your ferret is getting a lot of fluids to avoid dehydration.
To my understanding. Now that kip caught it she is also a carrier now. Do they test for ece?
Kip was treated with antibiotics. I'm not sure if she's a carrier anymore. I got two new ferrets that I rescued and so far they're totally fine. I don't think she's a carrier anymore. I'm not sure if there's a test specifically for this problem, but you can tell if they have it by their stool if it's green. But I don't know if there's much information about it out there. All I know is all 4 ferrets are fine now 💕🙏💕
@@sharynzoo well I’m happy to hear they are fine. I’m having issues with my favorite. Not green tho. I think it’s bacterial. He’s been to vet and on meds twice for it. 8 months apart. None of my other 3 caught it. Good luck with urs and thanks for the reply!
Yes.... They say it can come back. I'm watching Kip carefully. I hope your baby will recover & be fine 💕🙏💕
I did a PCR test to find out my ferret got ECE from my adopted ferret who just died right after I brought him home. I went to two different vet total costed $600😢
Omg…leave the poor thing alone! Do you really expect her to sit in one place like a dog? She doesn’t need to be in the whole video…let her play for G0d sakes!
