    Everything was great, except you failed to leave enough of an empty pause at the end of each section you shot, thus, this made your edit slightly more difficult with an end result slightly more choppy than it should have been. I would shoot the sections once again making sure your head movement and shoulders were as still as you could possibly make them to be, as well as leaving an extra half second at the end of each section you shoot. The end result will be a more polished, seamless, and effective spot.

    Is there a way of filming in landscape for UA-cam and then crop the video for Instagram without destroying the footage? To do that would you set it to 2.7k? I noticed that portrait had a 3k setting but landscape only 2.7k, is there a big difference?

    • @realestateagentdevelopment
      @realestateagentdevelopment  4 місяці тому +1

      Portrait is 3K but landscape is actually 4K. You can definitely crop it for short form, but you might want to take slightly wider shots just to make sure that your footage doesn’t look too cropped in when you move it into Instagram. You can easily do this in post… I do it all the time.

    Doesn't Instagram compress 4,k videos? Does this ruin video quality for reels?

    • @realestateagentdevelopment
      @realestateagentdevelopment  4 місяці тому +1

      There’s some compression on these social sites. I always shoot in 4k… future proofs anything I do. To make sure your video looks as good as possible make sure to go into settings > media quality > upload at highest quality.

      I’m confident that you could make a good quality video with the Osmo Pocket 3. I made a couple videos showing multi cam sequences in CapCut and Adobe Premiere… if it were me I’d lip sync to the recordings over and over in several locations and then sync the audio and make necessary cuts. The quality is definitely there with the Pocket 3 if you have e the editing skills.

    Great video, beginner here. Any software recommendations for post production? Seems like every software requires payment (which I’m fine with) to export anything over 1080.

      For video the best software for any beginner to start out with is the CapCut desktop app. Everything you will need to use is Free! Plus the layout is very similar to more pro editing softwares so it’s a great way to get started.

      @realestateagentdevelopment no you're right you could export, 90% of these viewers probably wont do that, but it's important to highlight those areas because people will change their settings to the video but then receive lower quality on the platforms they're uploading onto.

    Can be done with iPhone too? Advantages?

    • @realestateagentdevelopment
      @realestateagentdevelopment  9 місяців тому +3

      The advantages to me are 1) Osmo is definitely higher quality, larger sensor allows for natural blur in your backgrounds, footage is less sharp and frame rates can be adjusted to mimic higher end camera quality. 2) its a closed system and I can keep footage on the SD card and not use up so much storage on my phone or iCloud. 3) it is way less clunky than setting up a phone on a tripod or especially a gimbal when doing property videos.

    • @priyanksaklani8176
      @priyanksaklani8176 9 місяців тому +2

      One more point to add:
      Low light capability due to larger sensor. I don't think phones will move to a 1 inch sensor anytime soon. Anything that phones do via software magic can be done in post.

    Doesn't it bother you that it won't film in 4k portrait mode? Also why 24 frames a second vs 30 frames for Instagram?
    We mainly film before and after shots of our work for Instagram stories and reels. Do you recommend the Pocket 3 for our contracting business? Or do you maybe have a preferable alternative?

    • @realestateagentdevelopment
      @realestateagentdevelopment  9 місяців тому +1

      Ideally it would be nice if the lens it self would rotate but that would also just be one more moving part to potentially break after heavy usage. I’m fine with 3k for social media. 24 or 30fps is all up to personal preference… I like shooting everything in 24 because I don’t know where I’m going to end up repurposing the videos. One of the joy of content creation is that it’s high leverage, meaning I can shoot once and post over and over on different platforms and times throughout the yr.
      For ease of use I would buy a Pocket three for quick before and after videos of construction/rehab work. Are there options that would provide better quality? Absolutely but they come with much higher cost.

      no, the frame rate just impacts how the footage looks. 24 is considered to be more cinematic, most feature films are shot at 24fps. 30 fps is what soaps and broadcast TV uses. 24 gives a more cinematic motion blur whereas 30 fps is crisper but slightly more choppy looking in my opinion. again its all up to personal preference but for IG, FB, Tiktok it probably doesn't matter.@@vscontracting
