This is precisely the reason why folks just pull their phone for any live stream. Too many freaking steps. I rather use the pocket for creating content. This is not ready for quick and go live stream.
For sure, if the app just let you name the stream and go live it would be a different story.
Another cool thing with the webcam is if you have the DJI mic 2 you can connect it to your computer via Bluetooth and have audio from that instead of your computers built in mic. I tried the live stream and on UA-cam it was not good. Video worked but audio was crackling. It could’ve been my internet but who knows. I really wish it was easier with UA-cam. Thanks for the video!
You got it! Yeah you can absolutely use the audio from the osmo but there are just so many ways to get audio for a livestream I didn’t want to bog the video down with that

Did exactly all that MIMO APP connected pocket 3 said LIVE on screen yet ZERO stream was uploaded to clients site..WARNING IT DOESN'T AUTO RECORD the stream you have to hit the rec button on pocket 3 to have a backup this is really dumb. Should be something addressed in a firmware update. Frustrating had a crazy good video go live somewhere but nothing to show for it. Fortunately client wasn't banking on it, was an added extra. Also another WARNING if your phone like my samsung turns off the screen and doesn't have a never turn screen off option, when the screen goes dark you lose your connection to the livestream and to the mimo app. Word of warning.

If Kick supports RMTP streaming that would be the only way, as for overlays that would also be another program that would only work if kick supports RMTP streaming

Yes you can! You will need to connect to a computer via a usb port

This feature didn't work on the Pocket 2 and we shouldn't expect it to work on the Pocket 3.
If you want to live stream in real life, use your phone attached to an Insta360 Flow.
Can you use it with usb c and also move the gimbal with the app?
can it also still record the video when streaming via usb and is it also possible to still use the app to control the pocket?
It can but not at full quality at 4k or even 10 bit log

I use the pocket 3 as a webcam and stream live. Its perfect and works great. Im not going through all these 3rd party apps. Just do it as a webcam
I just wish the wireless mic would work together 😢

Great video, thanks very much! However, I don't understand why some of the menu settings are greyed out and not selectable. For example, OTG mode is grayed out and when I plug the OP3 into my PC with a USB-C cable to turn it into a webcam, nothing happens. The PC doesn't recognize it and nothing appears on the OP3, whether or not I turn it on with the cable (tried with the original cable and another one) and whether I'm on Zoom, Camtasia, Loom or Nvidia broadcast, it doesn't work... I also see that the compression mode is set to HEVC and H.264 is also grayed out... Do you have any idea of the source of the problem?

There’s really no best way, since I discuss the different methods in this video you have to decide which method works best for you
Best is always wired, lowest latency, always connected.

Plugged my PO3 into my MacPro and nothing... all I got was a screen telling me the battery is now charging. Am I missing something here? The Mimo app gives no instructions for use as a webcam. It gives instructions for the action 2.
Make sure you are using a cord that can pass through data and make sure you choose the webcam option on the Osmo pocket itself
I was using the old USB rather than the little thin ones. Tried one and it at least connected to my new iMac but it won't connect to my old MacPro which of course has no camera so I hoped this would double for one when using that
Geoff is it possible to stream through Cell data? I often use cell data to get on the internet when no WiFi in available but when i try to select it to stream t FB it always defaults to WiFi.
Yes it is, BUT it is a huge pain because you keep switching back and fourth connection wise until you start streaming. It is not a simple process so I don’t really recommend it

In streamyard I would just choose the rodecaster as your microphone

Right now there’s no way to officially do that, there are some aftermarket ways but with all the headache I rather just use an hdmi camera personally

Technically you probably could but it would take some work around like using the RMTP method to send a signal to a third party program like streamyard that works with instagram

Not currently or at least not easily

Thanks! If you use the RMTP feature and software you can probably make it work. As of right now though, you can’t do it natively through the app, but that could change in the future

@@ReachFilms No you cant. Crazy thing is you can stream to Facebook or UA-cam but not to Instagram Live so back to the phone for live streaming

Unfortunately not at this time as there is no way to get an hdmi signal out, maybe that will change someday
