It's funny that people were talking about the 1.4 vs 2.0 display port not being an issue for a few years when they announced the 4090 and then not long after Austin actually finds a use case where it mattered.

It didn't 'really' matter because neither card was displaying the FPS to justify DP 2.1
Still would have been a better experience with the 4090. It's just objectively more powerful than the 7900xtx and I'm sure they had to compromise the general graphics settings to even get the FPS they were getting here. Wouldn't have to do that while still getting similar FPS with a 4090.

for me what kills these set up is the screen is not 1 whole thing so the sides black on each monitor left and right will anoyy me beyond just get a single ultra wide monitor instead haha

I feel like monitors should have a way to optionally integrate their external power supplies into their stands
That way in the factory default setting, you have a way to hide that massive power brick, but you can also just remove the power supply from the stand if you want to wall mount it
That will be way too hot for the internals

I never said it would be *part of* the stand, I said it would be *optionally inside of* the stand, as in a place in the stand to put the power brick

Watch Dogs 2 had a really useful setting where you could choose to put your hud elements in the centre of your screen regardless of your games aspect ratio. Not sure if Legion had it

This actually helped me decide between a 4090 and a 7900 XTX. I was wondering whether the extra bandwidth of DP 2.1 would be required to run an Odyssey OLED G9 and an Odyssey Neo G9.
Also this monitor is only displayport 1.4 so ya
Just make sure that if you get an AMD reference made one, test for bad batch of coolers on some. Some heat pipes on some reference coolers don't have enough liquid in them to cool properly. Run a test and if you hit around 110 C, RMA quickly.
That's insane. I'm currently rocking triple 1440P 27" curved AOC monitors which I use for both gaming and my full time remote job. I can barely fit them on my 55" desk but it's a dream for both productivity and gaming. Now I need a triple monitor mounting arm bracket. Maybe one day I'll upgrade to OLED when the price goes down.. All three monitors cost me $800 in total.

I really like when screens have a small bezel. Like some of the Dell's, they also have the button on an angel so they are not on the front but still can be used.

Next you need to do it with the upcoming Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57", which already has a resolution of 7,680 x 2,160 at 240hz - so x3 would be 23,040 x 2,160! (equivalent to 6x 4K monitors!)

FS2020 and rFactor2 along with Assetto Corsa have explicit left, front, right view modes so you don’t have all the distortion.

Except for the fact that you can't see your load out, mini map, ammo etc without spraining your neck. I love this setup, but I would honestly rather play on 1 of these than on 3.

Just letting everyone know that these monitors are 3440×1440p. At 45 inches Ive seen 1080p monitors with better pixel density.
1,700 for a 21:9 1440 Ultrawide is a crime. But it was an entertaining video.

Plus this is an OLED display, 240hz, they did a shitty review cause they told almost nothing about it

My IPS 4k 160hz still going strong almost 3 years later, looked so good I bought a 2nd one, my LG CX has to run in HDR and 10bit at all times to even rival the colors

I have a 4090 with triple monitor having similar issue only 2 of 3 monitors connecting. I cannot even get the 3 to connect with 144hz. In your video you disabled dsc to make it work at 144hz but I am not sure how exactly you disabled dsc. Could you please explain how you went about disabling DSC? Thanks so much!
