- After months of chaotic meetings, Catholic school board trustees in York Region have voted against flying the pride flag. Shauna Hunt with reaction from students and advocates and why the head of the board says the flag was denied.
Only the Canadian flag and the Provincial flag should fly at schools.

The National Flag will always be flown on its own flagpole, with the sleeve nearest to the pole. The canton should be placed in the position nearest the top of the flagpole or mast. It is improper to fly the National Flag with another flag, of any type, on the same flagpole.

@@RS-hc9jt the Canadian General Standards Board is responsible for the standards that governments of Canada are obliged to follow. This is why at all government levels you see multiple flag poles cause they must follow the rules of not having another flag on the same pole as the Canadian flag. Why people think that schools have to follow these same rules is because the schools are publicly funded and an institution that could be considered a government building. Therefore would have to abide by the same rules regarding the Canadian flag as other government institutions have to do.
I commend this Board and the Trustees for standing up against this ideology.

You'd have to say that you know what is ultimately good and ultimately what decisions to make in gods position better than god, and even if god was malevolant according to you, it doesnt disprove his existence, it would only go against some religious views. If a flag is to be flown on a Catholic Parochial School it should be the Vatican flag and only that flag. Inside there should be a photo of the current Pope, not the Queen of England or now King of England, not the Prime Minister of Canada either. Only the Pope and God is centre of all education with His sanctuary in the middle of the school.

Err the radical anti-Christian stuff has been pushed on us since post WWII with the cultural revolution and Canada went from something like 96% of the population identifying as Christian in the 1950s to just over half identifying as Christian now. Almost cut in half. And those identifying with no religion from under a percent to something like thirty percent now. Forcing seemed to work in that case.

The Canadian flag does not symbolize inclusion and equality. It represents Canada as the official national flag since 1965. And the "pride" flag is not our country's national flag. So-called immigrants ought to assimilate into Canada. The cross is Jesus Christ dying for everyone, an opportunity for all to be saved. A sodomy or "pride" flag is not needed to bring more "inclusion". The cross already "includes" everyone.

The York Catholic District School Board stood up against raising the flag because our religion needs to be respected. This entire narrative is an objectionable affront to the basic tenets of Christianity. Since this is a Catholic school I believe this is a valid position to take. Our nation (like our neighbor to the south) has become a morally bankrupt and degenerate society and things like this, and the indoctrination of our children into this insanity is a direct consequence of our depravity. This school board should be commended for it's firm stance and not cowering to the mob mentality and insanity! As the Irish statesman Edmund Burke once wrote "evil prevails when good men fail to act".

Why are these activists of the LGBTQ movement think that everyone has to obey them, when they do not want to play by the rules of 99 % of the population ??

Sooo let me get this straight, students are emotional because the school will not put a FLAG on a pole? So they won't be able to graduate if the FLAG is not raised or what? Someone please explain , cause I've been under a rock for sometime now😮😮😮

No school or government buildings should be flying the pride flag period.
no govt funded school should push religion onto people either.
The pride flag supports an ideology it's the same as Marxism or Fascism.
They don't fly the Italian flag either, that doesn't mean they hate Italians.
Then only flag needed to be flown is the Canadian flag.
how about a flag that represents family, a mother and father holding hands with a kid in the middle.

Christ said treat others as you would be treated. EVERYONE .Pride said only LGBTQ+++ matter and everyone else is wrong.There is no place for the HATE Pride flags bring with their radical politics. Christian schools follow the Word of God, and if you do not want to follow the Word of God there are plenty of public schools to go to. Mao, like the backers of Pride, had to destroy cultural values to take over . Pride is just a cover for very bad things to come
