@@obviouslynottito Don't undermine the competition in the MRDS space that erupted with Holosun, Sig, EoTech, etc. after Trijicon went stale in that market. This is a good response that should have came out a minute ago

I don’t think Trijicon allowed anybody to “rear end” them. The Trijicon RMR is the standard for handgun optics. Nothing else works better. Nothing else is more durable. It’s so good it has its own optics footprint that others copy. Making a durable optic takes time. Trijicon took that time. This product came out at exactly the right moment. All the other manufacturers came out with features people wanted but unfortunately, they didn’t have the durability of Trijicon. Trijicon now has the features and the durability. I don’t think they lost so much market share that they’re gonna go out of business anytime soon. They’ll make enough sales from this product to make up for any losses they previously suffered. They’ll be fine.

Best trijicon red dot to date! I absolutely love mine I already have 3 of them outfitted on 3 of my 2011’s and they are amazing! Larger window crystal clear and as tough as it gets. Would take it over my old rmr or sro Anyday of the week. 👍🏼🇺🇸💥

If you care more about looks than ACTUALLY WORKING in all weather and all environments, then that's a problem lol.
I've seen open emitters become utterly useless FAR too many times in bad conditions when training. On both pistols, and offset/piggybacked on rifles. . From moving through the woods knocking water/snow and debris off brush straight into the bucket of the red dot, to having it holstered and getting full of mud shooting under vehicles and crawling between cover/shooting positions, and many other ways. Basically any time the training gets dynamic in bad weather.
To me. Open emitters are trash no matter how "cool they look". Shit could get you killed in non-permissive environments. The LAST thing you should be doing is constantly messing with your optic trying to keep it usable in bad conditions.....
If that's not your intent, to make true fighting guns, and you just want range guns for nice sunny weather on flat ranges only, then that's fine, there is nothing wrong with that. But for a weapon you plan to trust with your life, worry more about versatility And reliability above ALL else.... Especially looks.. lol 😂
I just bought the DI RMR with the amber dot and really like it. Best of all: no batteries!
I’m glad this new RMR HD from Trijicon just hit the market. I Ike to buy American products from American companies instead of buying something that was made in China but I didn’t really want another RMR type 2. The type 2 design was starting to get a little dated. The improved sensor, different modes, new reticle, and top loading battery are definitely much better. Trijicon is going to sell a bunch of them.

Iron sights on defensive guns for me. Red dots are useful for targets and hunting applications.
The future is now old man, dots are faster and more precise than irons. Always have back up irons just in case but don't try and act like dots are inferior to irons. 😂😂😂 tell me you don't shoot without telling me you don't shoot. 😂😂😂

I still think the SRO is the best. May not be as rugged as the RMR but has the best shooting experience.
Congratulations to Trijicon for joining us in the 21st century. For us that prefer USA made products, these are good to see.
One of the most annoying things is red dots that have their front extended out near the ejection port. It makes a lot of holsters incompatible, increases the chances of gasses clouding up the front lense and increases the chances of interfering with brass ejection. Exactly why I got rid of the SRO. Seems as Trijicon RCR is the way to go just based off that.
Have they announced the RCR release? I've only seen leaked photos. That's what I'm waiting on.

Never had that issues with my SRO but it also says if it protrudes over the ejection port it will cause malfunctions

Just picked up a 507K for my 43x, gonna get a type 2 RMR for my 45, and gonna buy a 21 gen 5 and put this on it

Lol seriously???? If you are shooting with both eyes open as you should, you shouldn't even really SEE the window lol. Just a floating dot superimposed on your target....
That being said, open emitter red dots are kind of trash. Well, it's not a Problem for a home defence or concealed carry gun, as it's protected from the elements.
But if you plan to go out and train/fight in bad weather ECT, enclosed emitter is the only way to go.

Now this one has my interest. I’ve been using the Holosun 508T on my G17 for a few years and it’s been great but I’m getting my G19 slide milled and I’d prefer to buy Trijicon but never liked the old RMR.
But is really worth 850 like but be long while for to get one like other had catch it on sale

I just got a reply message from Battle hawk, And they said the advertised price on the website doesn't reflect what the price may or may not be when they become available so yeah it will probably be a bit more than that.
It was nice to get my hopes up for a minute though.
I would imagine scope list and Euro optics is probably about the same deal.

But all 3 will probably break or stop working before this one needs a new battery. I've owned a bunch of Holosuns and most of the time they're fine but sometimes they just die for no reason and the 507/407 series cannot even come close to withstanding the abuse the RMR can.
So u don’t have to take the optic off to replace the battery now? Cuz I was gonna get a ACRO P2 over the RMR for that reason alone.

I got 4 years of battery from my original rmr and never turned it off. If your chief complaint is that you have to remove your rmr to change your battery, you don’t shoot enough.

Quality over price. And theres a very large percentage of people in this space with good jobs that would happily pay 850. That’s pocket change when you add up a high quality full kit.
