Nice mate. It's great to see a care guide from someone who has actually kept the fish themselves.
100% how else would you know what you are talking about :D
Let’s go! Blake is a Aquarium Legend! Keep it up mate, always gotta support Aussie creators and channel has heaps of videos to help anyone new to Fish keeping, would recommend the channel to anyone who loves keeping fish and anything else to do with aquariums👌🏾❤️🇦🇺
Thanks mate 🙌

Great information thanks for sharing ✌️👍💗💯
You are so welcome
Nice video. What is the best medication when they get bloaty? Also what is the best staple food? i generally feed Hikari sinking cichlid excel and Hikari Algae Waffers. Both are good source of Spiruluna.
I have a question. Should i keep a colony in a 60 gallon tank but 3 foot long? Because some say the aquarium should be at least 1.50 meters long.
Great vid mate. What % would you consider food to be too proteiny?
anything north of 37% mate
Blake had a question found sound at my local mom and pop pet shop but they have them labeled as Duboisi ? Are those the regular ones ?
Those are the most common yep
New to African Cichlids. Had a friend give me fish. Had 4, 3 died on me the first day. have a Duboisi left. What are good tank mates? Only have a 45 gallon tank
Hola soy de argentina quería saber si pued emezclsr tropheus bemba con tropheus ikola?
Tropheus can be kept with lelupi and Compressiceps?
Yeah should be all good
At what age should i expect my juvenile to change color?
6 to 12 months
Following all this and mine are doing great
Is it almost expected to have a few casualties when establishing a new tropheus colony?
Yeah pretty much unfortunately. Very aggressive fish
A big tip is not getting too few at the beginning. I would recommend 15 or more at least when starting a colony.
@@fuxington damn thought I could do it with less, but now after 4 years in the hobby I've decided that I'll take a break, I'll be selling off all of my tanks etc. And the remaining tropheus to a friend or sold
Protein based pellets generally would lead the fish to bloat and float at the top... lifeless. :P
Not all protein is equal but yeah for the most part thats true
hi, can 1or 2 of these be kept in a brichardi colony tank?
No they need to be a group
I’m having serious aggression problems with my tropheus colony. I’ve lost 4. Feeling really discouraged right now
How big is the colony?
Why do you have the fish with dried up marine rock even with tonga rock that’s prime reef rock
Its left over from when i had a salt water tank. Raises ph
