I came to the comments to say the same thing. Paracyps and Cyps are great for community tanks, and Cyathopharynx or Enantiopus sp. "Kilesa" are unbeatable if you've got the space.
Currently running a 90 gallon Tanganyika/West African community tank. 5 x cyprichromis leptosomas. (Tanganyika) 2 x neolamprologus tretocephalus. (Tanganyika) 2 x neolamprologus leleupi. (Tanganyika) 1 x altolamprologus calvus. (Tanganyika) 3 x steatocranus tinanti (West African) 2 x anomalochromis thomasi (West African) Started with West Africans, then really got into Tanyganyikans. They seem to all get along great, besides the larger neolamprologus tretocephalus being pretty territorial. I keep the PH around 8.0.
Because of you enthusiasm I went to Tanganyka’s. In one word? Awesome. I was sick of my Malawi’s constantly hurting and fighting. Now I changed my 190 gallon with 13 frontosa’s. 3 leleupis. 5 neolamprologus merengues is, a gold calvus. A black calvus and a wild caught beautiful white calvus. It al get along great. Relaxing swimmers. Just love my boys. Feeding them krill gold , hikari and cichlid formula. Great food. Thanks Jay. You’re the best.

Hi there, I have a Tanganyikan community tank and would like to get some tropheus once I upgrade and add to my existing colony of fish. I've already sourced where to get Tropheus moorii moliro. The community currently consists of a single 5 bar cichlid, some leleupi, some masked julies, a colony of shell dwellers (neolamprologus brevis) and a group of synodontis Petricola.
