    I surely wish you would tell us what plants you have sucess with in your
    aquariums. I have spawned both of these fish. The leleupei were in a 55 gal with a trio of neolamprologus brichardi and several large Haps. They held their own. The J. transscriptus started as group in a 20 long. After I removed the ones that had missing tails or other damage, the remaining pair became quite prolific.

    Fantastic review of these fish and their behaviors. I can tell you this is one of the best review of these fish I have seen in a very long time. Are you still in the aquarium hobby? Are you going to do more fish videos, I noticed most are about a year old or so.... thanks for producing this video.

    • @BeastleyTV

      I am still in the hobby, just not to the extent I used to be. A move about a year ago meant that I had to tear down all my tanks to relocate. I have set most of them back up, but haven't made any aquarium videos since. I took a break from UA-cam for a while after moving and have just gotten back into it over the last month or so. I do still love the hobby and have plans for more aquarium videos soon.

    • @beastmode8985

    8 Multies
    2 Calvus (Will keep multies population under control)
    2 Masked Julies

    • @jacobmohr82
      @jacobmohr82 3 роки тому

      The Julies and the Calvus May clash if there’s not plenty of rock work for them to claim as there own. If you were to do this, I’d recommend doing big rock formations on opposite sides of the aquarium and shells in the middle to keep clear separation of territory. It would be much easier in a larger tank, but it would be very difficult to keep that arrangement in a smaller tank.

    I would like to keep one masked julie and one leleupi in one tank. Do you think they will fight?

    • @BeastleyTV
      @BeastleyTV 5 років тому

      There are several variables such as tank size to take into account, but in general, as long as they each have their separate territories, they should be fine.

      Yeah. It would be nice if you could mix and match. I had the male leleupi in a peacock tank while he was growing out, and all was fine for a while. Once he got to his adult size he became a real jerk and had to be moved. Definitely not advised.
