Osaka Sensei was my inspiration from first seeing him in the Best Karate series. I am so happy I got the chance to train with him at the JKA Hombu in '87.
Fortunate enough to have been in seminars with Osaka Sensei - without doubt one of the greatest exponents of Shotokan karate, his Kata was simply the best!
So happy to see Osaka Sensei amongst the best fighters of the JKA in this video! I think he is sometimes overlooked as a great fighter because it's overshadowed by his impeccible record as one of the greatest if not the greatest in kata in the JKA! So hard to find any videos of him doing kumite. Thank you so much!
