Oh my goodness when you were talking about how hot it was where you live, I was like wow sounds like Tucson . Then you were saying the water is super hard and I was like sounds like Tucson. I was just wondering I have bought a Monstera Deliciosa, and was wondering where is best to put it in terms of what its light requirements are?
Is yours quite close to a window that gets sun all day?
Tiana Lung they love high light, it might burn if you place it in too high of light without letting it adjust by placing it gradually higher light but eventually it'll push out huge leaves in high light
Amazing collection Becca, they are looking so beautiful and I love seeing your plants. You live in Arizona and I live in Idaho, I couldn't take the heat, but as I get older I think the cold is not any more fun. I love your variegated syngonium, and when I get my hands on one I will propagate it and give a plant to my daughter, I really love them as well, they are so beautiful and easy to grow. I wish that I had a window in my bathroom, it would be loaded with many plants, but since I don't have a window there are no plants in the bathroom. I am so sorry about your maranta, I found that when I put mine too close to a window it was burning the leaves, so I pulled it back and took a cutting and placed it in water. I would love to find a regular philodendron, and a micans. Thanks so much Becca, fun tour, I love seeing how your plants are doing. Bye for now.
Yes the heat in AZ is actually quite nice!! But yes I would like to move my maranta somewhere else, but not sure where 🤷🏻♀️ thanks for watching!!
For your rubber tree the "burgundy" ones are only that color when they are in bright light but they will be green if they are in lower light. My guess is either you've moved the plant around and its getting different light or maybe through season changes the light you've been getting is less or more depending on the season.
Hi Becca! What a great tour! You have some beautiful plants. I'm really getting into Syngoniums, too, and Sansevierias. I would have to say my favorite of your plants is the Variegated Syngonium. It's at the top of my wish list. One, maybe both, of your Pink Syngoniums might be the Pink Butterfly. I have that one and yours look very similar to it. I recently got the Sansevieria Samurai. It's so cute. I LOVE your variegated Leo! OMGolly he's so cute. I have a Variegated pup, too. She's a Japanese Chin/Pomeranian mix, black and white. My husband got her for me for my birthday approx. 4.5 years ago from the Humane Society. I'd seen her on their website so he took me over to get her. Best birthday present ever! BTW, Your outdoor plants are so pretty! I love the Dragon Bone cactus. Thank you so much for sharing!

Your prayer plant is getting too much light. I would pull it back away from the window and you will notice a difference in the leaves.

They are such lovely plants!
I’ve heard some youtubers say that hoyas aren’t big “feeders” but I find that mine love being fertilized. I’ve never had fertilizer burn, and they grow pretty quickly. If you’ve been avoiding fertilizing yours for the same reason, I recommend orchid spray & Alaska fish fertilizer!
I actually do use orchid fertilizer on my hoyas and forgot to mention it in this specific video!! I'm all for fertilizing. It's weird some people experience burns on their plants.. I never have!!

Lovely tour Becca! Your variegated Syngonium is soooo lush! Dreamy! Your Ficus Elastica could be a Robusta, or a hybrid of those and something else... I have one also and it is a much darker green than the green ones, but also lighter than the dark one (the burgundy/blackish ones). Another way to tell is because the leaves are thicker and more robust (hence robusta I guess but I could be making this up 😅) and generally lay flatter (similar to the Tineke, while the green ones tend to have their leaves curl back, although yours also seems to be doing that). This is something I have noticed from my own current Ficus Elastica and the previous green ones I have owned or seen. But I have read varying info on this, some say it's the same but just a different name..... 🤷🏽♀️ Thought I'd share anyways hehe.. x

I have the very same Chinese evergreen that you have and you're the only person that ivnow know to have the very same exact one! Well, besides my mom. I got mine from her, lol. She has a ginormous one and she gave me some babies when I moved into this house. It's such a beautiful plant with striking leaves!

Hey, your Thai Constellation seems to be getting some direct sunlight on the leaves, this could be whats causing the browning. Try moving to a well lit area, out of direct sun.

Have you heard about pilea getting sun stress? I've noticed with mine that the mother plant will get really droopy with soft leaves, but the pups on the grow station with less direct light stay perky with more succulent leaves

Snake plants are great for bedrooms! Spider plants, or ZZ as well! All good with low(er) light and non fussy!
Hi Becca, great video! I wanted to ask though, as it seems the same thing happened to your zig-zag cactus, I got a cutting about 2 years and it took well without problems, the only thing is that the new growth has become much less intensely zig-zagged haha I can see that your plant has done the same, some stems which I assume are the older ones are very zig-zagged while most of the new growth looks quite different. Do you have an idea of why is that? I never managed to find out the reason. Thanks!

Becca Awe poor baby. I have a philo pink princess and if it grows anything like yours, mine enjoys a medium light southern exposure and decently moist soil. I usually just give her a pretty light misting when I notice her top soil drying out. About every week or so I’d say. She’s been growing happily in our basement for a little while and the humidity down there is high so that might also be helping. It’s generally at least 50% or more. I’m not sure if any of that information will be useful to you or not but I hope you can save her because, what a cutie!

I'm having the same problem with my prayer plant... It's been growing like crazy, then suddenly half of the leaves turned yellow. I spotted some grew worm-like bugs in the soil, so I repotted it and put anti-bugs granules in the pot. We'll see... I hope it survives, but the plant looks pretty sad right now...

Preyer plant..cut of yellowing/brown leaves, not too much sun, humidity, spritz it, the tips I find brown all the time, Idonno I love them but they are a bit finicky.

I wasn't expecting to find good plant stands there, but it surprised me! :) Thank you -- I've gotten my wicker/bamboo from a variety of places: facebook marketplace, my friend who is a wicker reseller (dealer? lol), and my local antique mall! I'd definitely like to do another thrift video...got some good stuff recently!
@@BeccaDeLaPlants I don't have tremendous luck thrifting. First, the smell of some of the shops is off-putting and you have to really , really look. Lol. But I love seeing what other ppl find. Christine Kobzoff (sp.) is in Tuscon too and it seems like you guys have great estate sales.
Paula Bollers yes the smell is sometimes not good at all 😭 I’ve left without even looking before just because of the smell haha. I’ll have to check her out! I have actually had my eye on estate sales😯 next time I have an open weekend I’m definitely checking a few out! I guess that’s a perk of living in a place where people like to retire (morbid...I know)!!

I have a philo Brazil, that has some silver and cream, which I’ve been thinking has been miss marked. It’s leaves are also slender not fat like your Brazil. Hmmm.

Beautiful plants! My R. Tetrasperma (The real one. Lol.) cutting took about 3 months to put out new growth but once it started it took off. I just left it alone in soil. Since you have a lot of plants in water and have the instinct to put them in water when they are not growing, would you think about doing semi-hydro? I am nervous about all the steps and testing but you seem like a natural candidate for it! Will you bring your cacti indoors during the winter or can they be outside in AZ? I heard the can take pretty cool overnight temps.
I've heard the r. tetrasperma are amazing growers!! I have thought A LOT about trying out semi hydro for some of my plants, but I'm not sure if it'll be a lot of work! I would be willing to convert maybe a few plants and see how it goes...maybe I'll like it :)
I do leave the cactus outside year round! If it freezes (maybe 4 times in the winter, maximum) I just cover them! Of course, though, if I see that they aren't doing well I would bring them in overnight. It hardly ever goes below freezing and they do handle the cold surprisingly well :)

How long did it take your exotica to grow from four leaves to that giant pot?
About 2 years!
Your prayer plant might need to be repotted! Mine was withering away and it was super root bound
