A friend of mine took me to a concert of theirs in Detroit as a surprise birthday present. It 1987 or 88 and I have been a fan ever since. It was truly magical and one of the best memories I have. Thank you Scott and thank you Expose'

I used to hear that song around 1993 in Burger King and I thought that the lyrics were "as strong as I can be".... Thought it was a country song but I liked it. It baffles me that this wasn't a huge hit for them, unfortunately. Btw, I used to always hear my favorite songs for the first time in places like that, too, except for me it was always at Kmart. @@barbiegirl9470 honestly as far as it not being a big hit: the early to mid-90s started to see a decline of popularity for things like that... Those middle of the road love songs. If that had been around 1981, it would have been a huge hit. As for me, I will take music like that any day over the crap we have now

I had a gf from east LA back in college for a couple of years. She was 50% black, 25% latina, 25% korean. And 100% gorgeous, smart, funny, and kind!! As a white male, this was the first time I had ever made love to a non-caucasian girl. It was quite a wonderful experience!!!

EXPOSE, moves into the NINETIES: ..Their self-titled CD, was released Fall of 1992, and also, featuring a new member, Kelly Moneymaker (..read the other comments, about Gioia's leaving...); The 1st Single (a leftover 'new jack swing'-era track, called "I Wish The Phone Would Ring"), did moderately well, going #32 Pop... but, the B-Side, a Ballad, with a VERRRY long title, started grabbing People's attention....(cont.)
....a change was in Order; the ballad got 'flipped', started gaining momentum, and was re-released, as a stand-alone single; the move was a GOOD one; a Top Ten SMASH, Spring of 1993, and a #1 AC Hit, July of 1993, showed they CAN move with the times, and kept the Girls in good graces with the public.....

Funny thing! I met Kelly the day or two after they filmed this. I was working at a tv station in Anchorage Ak, and went home for lunch and my neighbor was out talking to her. He introduced me to her and her husband. She was his niece. Very nice lady! She’s from Fairbanks Alaska. Almost 30 years ago. Wow
They definitely had the live singing thing down...!
