If you guys didn't see: The guy finally sued and got 650k so he is sitting pretty now!
nice, for once a good end to the story. But it still shouldn't have ever happened in the first place
you know police departments budget hundreds of millions of dollars to pay off suit settlements
Damn, what are those cops gonna do without that 0.0001% of their funding
@@Roiesword1not true, you cannot sue the department or an officer directly. That’s literally what qualified immunity means. You sue the county, city, or state and the settlement comes out of their tax coffers. The only effect it has on departments or police directly is as their financial liability goes up their budget goes down. So there may be one less cop, or less vehicles, or less overtime pay the next year. The taxpayer directly foots the bill, which is as it should be since we are their employers. It’s gonna take a collective effort to effect real change. Bankrupting cities, counties, and states, or simply stop funding them in the first place. Which requires a change in lifestyle and standard of living for most of you, that most of you are not willing to make. So this is how it is for now, and anyone who doesn’t fight back against it is to blame.
Im just happy these cops didnt back the unhinged dumb one. Justice.
Those two senior cops clearly hated this guy already before this.
Dude: "Can I get a card from you?"
Cop: "I don't have one, they don't give us cards."
Other cop: "Hold on, we have cards." Mean-mugs first cop while every other cop nearby starts whipping out cards within a second and giving them to dude.
Why not give the the violent cops an F-?
I stopped pursuing a career in law enforcment after seeing how so many American cops behave (and understanding more about the prison industrial complex), but sometimes I see stuff like this and wonder if internal change might not also be a solution. Especially since I'd be a park ranger officer, and park rangers aren't typically particularly right-leaning as is in my experience (and more educated).
@@2wickie686 My aunt was a LE Park Ranger for decades. It does tend to be less (i.e., not entirely) corrupt, but the death rate for officers is higher due to the remote and often secluded encounters with people who are armed. Keep in mind, the pay is awful, so you have to love what you do. Also, you'll be dealing with drunk people for 95% of your calls, so make of that what you will. It can be a great job compared to being a city cop, but it still has its downsides.
I realize it sounds like I'm trying to talk you out of it, but I'm really not. We need good people in the Park Ranger system. ❤
I was once assaulted by the cops in my neighborhood. I knew no good would come to going after them or even complaining. My mom was angry though and called her lawyer friend. Her lawyer friend informed her that she had to leave town because she took on the cops targeting her children and they hurrassed her children and family to the point she felt too afraid to stay. What hope do the rest of us have when lawyers are afraid of them?
wtf thats insane. hope things have been safe for you since
@@kat_7991 thank you, so far so good. Though I've seen cops do alot of other fucked up shit.
@@kat_7991 Its very common. I had a rapist cop in my town, never got in trouble.
That happened to my granddad. Got into a fight with an off duty cop and the cops chanced him out of town. I don’t know why my grandma never went with him she refused so my mother grew up without her dad and I never met him.
Look at how they infantilize black senior citizens, they don’t say sir they say dude, they don’t let him state to the other cops he was hurt they try to rush him out and shut him up like you would a child. Shits disrespectful and condescending.
Revolting. And you took the words right out of my mouth when you said that the other gentleman went back in the house out of fear. When the cop told him to go in the house, I yelled at the TV, "Or what? He's on his own f*cking property! Are you going to arrest him if he doesn't?" I felt like he was in fear for his safety as well, and made the right choice. It's not worth dying for.
no yelling inside :(
@@noshot30 I agree. I don't usually, but the kids were at their dad's, it was just me and the dog, and I never get to watch my own TV.
This poor man... this made me sick to my stomach to watch. It's literally just some power tripping cop beating the shit out of an old innocent man.
Silver lining is he got 650k for it! so he isn't much of a "poor man" any more! I hope he moved himself to a much nicer place with cops that don't do shit like this.
@@slowloris2894 650 in what state? That can get you a middle class house and health insurance
@@alexandrahenderson4368depends on what state
The saddest thing about this is the shitty cop's cardio.
He's clearly out of breath after doing literally nothing. Adrenaline high from threatening unarmed and disabled people
Not to defend this cop, but adrenaline always high when you pull a gun on someone else. That's how it should be when you're pointing a weapon at someone that can end their life instantly. Outside of military training that these people can't afford there's no way around that.
the way cops try and justify their actions on scene every time 🤣
it's not funny
@@yngfljm2277 laughter can be an expression of absolute disgust as well, it's just not visible by only looking at the emoji. Use context clues
@@anzabi1543 fair enough, I am autistic after all
@@yngfljm2277 nah tbh you don't even have to be autistic to misinterpret emojis, after all a real human who laughs as an expression of being disgusted would have "angry" Eyebrows and not laugh with their eyes all sparkly, it would be more of a dry laughter, or if they laughed as much as this emoji does it would be weirdly extreme and out of place to signal that the laugh is of a sarcastic nature, emojis can't convey emotions that well and this is the internet so it's fair to not rule out that someone actually finds it genuinely funny that cops get away with so much ^^
@@anzabi1543 yeah for sure, that's how I interpreted it first, that he genuinely finds it funny that cops get away with shit which is just gross and I had to call it out. But like you said, it can be interpreted differently so eh
The fact cops are normally so frat-house about their own, the other officers must have HATED this guy prior to the incident
Thats what I was thinking! Who’s to say they’d do it again if it were one of their other partners doing the same thing?
@@Moomi_Is_Us true but all we have to go off of is this situation therefore I gotta give them credit for this one. I can give respect where it’s due but yeah most likely, they hated this fucking cop because telling on your brothers in blue is very rare
That's what I thought from the looks of the other officers faces when he explains himself. The other cops all look annoyed with him, I don't think he was liked by other cops before this incident.
Video is fake cops don’t stop other cops
It's the same with everyone. Nobody wants to be the first to say something, but once someone does, people follow.
"WE HAVE CARDS" oh man that's hilarous
My aunt is an American police officer. I love her to death. She is an amazing mother, aunt and person. However I still believe in ACAB. She isn’t the problem. It’s the system she works in.
Cops in my home town made a point of reaching out to the community, a cop would hang out with us during lunch at the high school so we wouldn't think twice about talking to at least him. It certainly paid off and the only people who didn't want to be around them were the undocumented but the department wasn't the type to do anything to them anyway. There were several times where they were like "I don't care about your status, I care that someone broke into your house. Let me get your stuff back." Small town, we literally had a bad area across the train tracks that I was forbidden to go near.
I feel this exact way, and I have quite a few family members in law enforcement.
@@katrinascarlet5637 respectfully, may I ask what the demographics of your town are?
@@mr.crumbles2557 immigrants, minorities, Caucasians. A mix of everything but it's not something I paid much attention to.
Audit the Audit is one of the best channels for cop watch. They break down every situation, give you the law that either supports or condemns the actions of officers/persons involved, and they are usually unbiased in their approach. Sometimes they favor the cops too much, but overall they're a great channel for holding both cops and auditors accountable
Yeah they do a great job of explaining the legality and rights involved in cop interactions. They don't usually deal with the morality of the laws
I like lackluster better ATA is too lenient on cops sometimes
ATA’s tendency to lean toward the cops in their legal analysis is surprisingly helpful (even though it’s also annoying).
Truly knowing just how much the law is biased in the police’s favor is an important part of learning how terrifyingly dangerous cops are - and why radical reform is vital if we ever want the brutality to stop.
@@hippystreams he's not lenient on anyone, he analyses the cases based on the existing laws. The laws are lenient on cops, he isn't
@@hippystreams you say ATA is lenient on cops when every video I've seen from him so far he's given most cops a F grade
FINALLY he reacts to AUDIT THE AUDIT i have been waiting on this for literal YEARS
Same
He's been talking shit about audit the audit for years before he even knew what it was.
He's talked about how he loves these types of videos because he hates both cops and libertarians and one of them always gets owned
Something happened that no one pointed out. Before they walked over to take the cuffs off they did hand signals about the body cams. I have acquaintances in PD that have admitted there are hand signals they use so that they avoid saying or doing things on body cam footage
Is there a resource online that can be used to reference such things?
What sort of info could be potentially communicated via hand signal? Circumstances allow them to freely lie im just curious what concepts or information, obviously short and simple or direct in nature could be communicated between piggies?
Rewatching, piggy says if u use force u gotta upload camera and taps on the bodycam. He then moves from officer to officer and seems to be doing the same point/tap/ acknowledgment to each pigs bodycam... my guess it's like a hey...this shit that films 24/7 is about to potentially be watched and rewatched so act/speak accordingly. Its scummy but not really that egregious pig behavior as compared to what his piglet did 14sec prior
Dude he literally blatantly tapped the camera and said "we're gonna need to take a look at your body cam" there were no secret signals.
His name is really David Dukes... Fitting.
Omfg his parents hated this kid
You know when the guy is saying he got his head slammed and the cop is being super diplomatic at that point that they know they fucked up and they're trying to minimize the damage. If that cop actually thought he was in the right, he'd probably still be on the dude's neck instead of trying to meekly explain to the other cops and help the guy up.
The cops complete lack of empathy even after he knew he was in the wrong is just sickening
"The City of Orangeburg settled at $650,000 with Gailyard and the funds will be paid through the city’s insurance carrier." bro didn't get any jail time at all? i mean the bag is nice tho
When you attempt to change the system from within, it isn't you who changes the system but the system that changes you
In middle school we no shit had the school cop tkae us to his office and tell us we could have put someone's eye out. What did we do to warrant this? Me and another friend each threw a single piece of lettuce lmfao. We got lunch suspension for that shit.
Cops in the suburbs are the worst, because there is so little going on that they invent new crimes.
Did you freeze the lettuce beforehand? Did you fashion a lethal lettuce shift?? DID YOU??? STOP RESISTING
shes the kind of cop u need tho. actually cares about who she interacts with
I knew the black lady officer wouldn't put up with any of his shit. The look she served was pure daggers.
Dude the body language of the black female cop when she got on the scene said everything. She was literally wringing her hands looking at the situation. The blond female cop pissed me off- she clearly knew what was happening was wrong but was trying to play nice with the other officers instead of having a spine.
I was listening to this today at work and couldn't watch it. I knew someone in the clips industrial complex had my back, thanks for the clip
I’ve seen this Audit before this one is a banger.
This is why ppl hate cops in general
"aight, git up!"
*Said to the guy handcuffed sitting down...*
"Git him up!"
This dudes a wannabe gangster... Along with the curb stomp. JFC..
"Hold on we have cards"
I'm glad she said something
We love to see it.
20:45 The look on her face is the look on all of our faces right now.
Dude he slammed this guy so hard he went into full stunlock
nobody gonna talk about how his name is LITERALLY David Duke(s)???
This dude was panting like he ran a marathon 😂
That cop was out of breath after jogging 10 meters and stomping a dudes back.... the whole video i felt like i could just hear him wheezing for breath.
Genuinely shocked his body cam was on
The problem that can arise from this. Is even bad cops have friends. And that causes friction. The wrong cop gets pinched and the entire damn nest of them turn hostile on their own for ratting on them... I don't condone it. Nor do I say they shouldn't value their honor over the brothers in arms nature... But it just means those that call it out have hearts of gold and are true heros we need to keep the world just and fair.
Virtue signal harder for me baby 👢 👅
this is some sad shit, glad that man got fired, but how is he in that position to start wtf? also 20:20 is my face the whole time
Love the reaction of the other cop when the shit pig says he’s being the duct tape stick into evidence. He’s like um okay dude
"You may be familiar with the saying, “One bad apple can spoil the bunch." @2:53 the host says that there is vagueness "by design". This is true because the actions taken by an officer can be deemed unlawful depending completely on the circumstances of the arrest or detention. This leaves room for interpretation in the event there is potential wrongdoing by officers. If definitions are vague and are open to interpretation, this means that the officers must act in accordance with department policy. If they do not, and find themselves in court, the law could (and should) be interpreted after reviewing evidence of the case and making a determination based on the first the Constitution, then on the departmental standards. @7:45 the host says that anything could be a weapon. He is right. The intended use of any item is what determines rather or not it could be considered a weapon. It has little to do with the actual item itself.

If a person is approched by law enforcement and act a fool, that is acknowledged. There is no seperate category of acceptable behavior, dependant on color. Foolishness clearly comes in all colors. No one should allow someone elses behavior to dictate their own. Be active, not reactive.
I fully support what is said in this video. Still I try to put myself (I‘m far from being or wanting to be a cop) in the situation of being called to a scene alone where someone „has a gun on his waistband“ and is „banging on doors“. I guess I‘d be pretty nervous and probably would act over-cautious, which however doesn‘t include the disrespectful pushing by foot and all the untruthful talk.

hasan not knowing how dangerous it is to be a cop
Being a police officer is an extremely safe profession. It is more dangerous driving a truck than being a police officer. This has been widely studied.
Being a pizza delivery guy is more dangerous than being a cop. What’s your favorite flavor of boot polish? Probably think you can overdose by touching fentanyl too.
