It’s situations like these that leave people with the impression that we shouldn’t call the cops. At least for me growing up, my parents did not trust the cops at all and would be so fearful of them. That def instilled the fear of them in me as well. Oh and yeah we’re brown.

I remember being a kid and going to see my aunt who we thought at the time was passing away at the moment. (She wasn’t but we thought) my dad was speeding obviously and got pulled over, and when he explained the situation, the cop then lectured my dad about how speeding is dangerous. I remember the whole situation taking so long and it was really scary because he was threatening my dad with going to jail because he got pissed at him. I wonder if the lecture would’ve even happened if me and my dad both weren’t Hispanic. Idk.🤷 big fucking dick either way. 😂

Gosh I feel so bad for this woman. Obvious matters aside (her being pregnant, husband in the hospital, etc), it's even worse that she's being SO respectful and obeying everything he's saying. They literally didn’t want to wait. Like what do you want me to do ? Run into oncoming cars ??? These police think they are so above the law and it’s sick. Im glad Hassan talked about the whole cuffs thing because he’s so right. Handcuffs hurt and cops love to tighten them right into your skin. It hurts and burns especially if they put it behind your back and you’re shoulders are twisted back for a long period of time. Why do I know this? Got cuffed in highschool school by police during a wellness check cause I was trashing my room and threatening to kill myself 😔 never hurt anyone or even threw things in anyones direction, just didn’t want to be touched while having a severe manic episode. Cuffs hurt even worse when someone else is constantly throwing you around on the floor and up against them.

This made me think of a story of my childhood, when I was sick and my mother was driving me to the hospital. She was speeding and a police car came up behind her flashing lights telling her to stop, and she pointed to the back seat, the cops drove up beside her so they could see in to the backseat, they saw me, turned off their lights and waved her on. That's how it works in civilized societies, if you are on a road that's heading towards a hospital and you do something that's not entirely legal but also not super offensive, the cops use some common sense and figure out that you are probably dealing with a medical situation and that they should let it slide. In the US, it seems like extra spice to them to ruin someones day in extra bonus level ways.
