- We are like 5 nodes into the story and we already are going this hard. Canto 5 is not disappointing in the slightest. And Ishmael's character is developing in a very interesting way. Quite honestly I'm getting huge shades of Roland from her currently.

This is the moment Ishmael became Fishenberg. She is the one who swims. Jokes aside though her current character arc is... scary. I like it, but it's incredibly self destructive. Regardless, ya boy is gonna be streaming Persona 5 tactica today at 7:15pm est. It's been a minute since I played any Persona game so I can't wait to see what this game is about.

Mersault being a club regular was probably the most shocking and funniest thing in chapter 5 so far for me

I simply can't believe it as well, like a man like Meursault, went clubbing? My initial thought was probably reading in the dark.
It's actually accurate to the book version of himself who goes Clubbing in order to understand human emotions on why people drown themselves in alcohol drugs and sex.
We didn't even see the whale and Ishmael is already on -25 sanity, and until the end of this chapter, she will probably kill at least one sinner.
And considering the fact that's it 1.
It's definitely gonna go up and maybe in part 2 or 3 she immediately breaks down the moment the fight starts turning into a abnormality

Hong Lu once again proves he's not a dumbo. When everyone was borderline ready to take pirate's bullshit about being agent, he found a way to signal to the others that this isn't a case in as harmless and non-taunting way possible.
All sinners seem to be showing so much more of their alents... and Ish is overshadowing them, not giving them chance to have input.
Yeah, it is interesting. Hong-Lu generally seems like he spends every offscreen second smoking the fattest blunt in the city but in decisive moments he suddenly says or does the exact right thing.
@@sebastiansteppuhn3418 I don't even think it's at "decisive" moments alone. He's continuously observing. The others may disregard him, unable to catch same wavelength or dismissing as ignorant, but, like i mentioned under another video long ago, Hong Lu is probbly the most educated and strictly raised individual in the entire team.
His comments seem off-brand, but they always serve a purpose, defusing tense situations, dodging a question, pointing to a clue - like tactician, using subtlest of actions to achieve goal, without exposing himself as dangerous.
I now have the mental image of Meursault *dancing his heart out in the disco floor like he's Kyriu in Yakuza 0* and that is probably the greatest thing to ever enter my mind.

[14:51] No, not quite. We can see the dates of each chapter in the main menu, under "Drive." Canonically, Dante has been working with the Sinners for about 4-5 months at this point.

The idea of Mursault going into a club is absolutely hilarious, and I can only imagine that the man acts the same way drunk as he does sober.
I also now realize ch. 4.5 was sorely needed as a comedy because this chapter is going to be a RIDE.

Outis has never been more trustworthy. (Seriously though, while I trust her as much as anybody else, I kinda like the idea that she's in fact loyal, but she's making her doom face because it has just really sunk in for her that she's stuck with these morons.)
Meanwhile, seeing Dante's concerns about how the Sinners as a whole might not be interested in becoming a band of true companions, he should probably spend some more talk with Yi Sang. If there's anyone trying to make this disfunctional mess work right now, it's him.
Ishmael doesn't take much of anyone's shit cause she for once wanted to to things her way. I like that fierce attitude from a sinner.
My first guess with heath saying his syndicate valued blood and loyalty was also the thumb. but i think with the thumb its less complete loyalty and more just respect sins you dont have to be loyal to them. just put some respect on what they concider ''superior'' to you/them, so lets be honest if he was of the thumb he whould alredy have been dead, so my second guess was maby the mad dogs. But PM will likely just reveal a completely new syndicate when we get to his story..as my litteral only other guess whould just be one of the other fingers
Updating this, seeing with PM releasing a new roadmap it might be the blade linage heathcliff was a part of. seeing chapter 5.5 but that could just be a coincidence, maby the blade linage is just partly related. or maby this transitional chapter has no bearing on chapter 6 at all who knows....however..that whould explain all of the cuts on his arms...

those were sinclair's memories of the two, like how dante saw ishmael's memory of the whale previously, or i'd imagine a similar way to how he saw the hole in yi sang (not that that was a memory but i guess it's like an emotional link?)
I'm actually in the opposite camp. I loved Ishmael since the beginning because she seemed like one of the rational people in the group. Now I am starting to grow cold towards her. What can I say? I don't like stone cold murderers. Do I still like her design the most? Yes. Do I h(c)ope tha she becomes better at teh end of the chapter like Yi Sang? Yes. I do harbor some suspicion that we won't get that yet because the last 2 chapters ended on at least somewhat nice note and it can't continue.
A fair response, though to be honest I picked up from fairly early on that Ishmael's core character is the false assumption she was the only sane person there. Plus even now, her violence isn't random outbursts of rage like Heathcliff or Ryusho, but rather very targeted rage that has a very clear series of targets and goals.

I don’t know if anyone else said this but Queequeg is one of the people that was on captain Ahab’s boat alongside Ishmael so it’s very interesting to see them mentioned, also their’s a lot of theories that boy Ishmael from the original story and boy Queequeg were gay for eachother, so it’s very nice to see them both as girls in Limbus

Well in the book queepueg and ishmael are really good friends even with the odd things queepueg does and the marriage thing because his culture, but most likely they had some romantic things in the game because cuddling each other and saying you're married is not sounding very platonic

Queequeg us a character in Moby Dick, a big guy from a faraway tribe of cannibals, who becomes Ishmael's friend in the book. While the only survivor of the voyage in the book was Ishmael, Canto 5 implies that Queequeg is still alive somewhere, or Ishmael is just bullshitting and Queequeg is actually dead.
He's also his lover like the book isn't even explicit on their gay relationship
